About Jennifer and Scott Legier
We moved our family to this area in Summer for 2015 from Southern California. We came for the beauty and the life-long dream of living in this beautiful area. Jennifer has a background in design and textiles and has worked hard to make our rental as homey as possible. Scott, a massage therapist, works locally at The Common Man spa, come see him for a discounted hour of relaxation (extended to our guests), or opt for an in-home massage.

Why Jennifer and Scott Legier chose Campton
We are ideally situated minutes off the highway, with easy access to the Lakes Region, or the White Mountain Region. We are located midway between them. Come for hiking, horseback riding, skiing, snow mobiling, leaf-peeping, rock-climbing, swimming, fishing, kayaking, tubing, treasure-hunting, or our assortment of fabulous restaurants in our area. Our home is light, bright and airy, and very comfortable. We are located on the premises, for immediate attention to any issues, or for questions or suggestions. We love catering to our guests! Don't hesitate to ask!
What makes this Chalet unique
Our tiny complex was once a bustling motel and boasts quaint picturesque little cabins situated in a half-moon shape around our main house. The charm of the area was what led us to purchase the home. It is almost like stepping back in time to a simpler era. People who have visited us remark about its "fairytale-like qualities" especially in the winter time when each tiny cabin has a rooftop crowned with snow.

Red Sliegh Condo
Location was perfect for us ,clean ,neat ,charming.
Everything was perfect and available
Good sized unit and immenities, not as private as we hoped
We stayed in this charming little unit for a couples getaway. Jennifer was there to greet us when we arrived, she was very nice and thorough with explaining the condo and the surrounding areas. The unit has everything you could need, and is located between the mountains and the lakes regions. The only issue we had was with cooking, even turning the oven on set the fire alarm off. The unit is located in a condo complex so it's not a quaint private getaway, but we didn't mind. Otherwise it was a great little place to stay for the weekend.
We regret the unfortunate situation with the oven, and wish we had been alerted about the issue. We let every guest know when they arrive, that if there is anything we can do to make their stay more enjoyable, or if there are any issues, to please let us know. It is unfortunate we were not given the opportunity to remedy the issue while the guests were staying with us. The battery in the alarm simply needed to be changed. The issue has been resolved.
Campton, NH retreat
l stayed at the chalet during an art and craft show I was doing in the area. After spending the long days with customers I needed a quiet and relaxing retreat. The condo filled the bill perfectly and I had everything I needed including a full kitchen and cooking supplies. The condo actually has a separate bedroom and an enclosed porch with double bed. There is also a day bed in the main room so this would be a perfect place for a family or several couples. There was easy communication during arrival and departure. I would recommend Jennifer and Scott's chalet if you are visiting the area.
Home away from home
We were very happy with our stay. The condo was very cozy and comfortable with all the comforts of home. The owners provided all the necessities you could think of so if you forgot something, no need to worry, which was a very nice touch. Jennifer welcomed us when we arrived and gave us a run down of the area which was very helpful. I would definitely recommend this property.
A clean, comfortable property in a great location
Pros: Nice place with all the amenities you need. The shower was amazing with the rain head above it. Fruit, frozen bagels, and coffee were provided. There is a binder for viewing local eateries and attractions. The property has access to walking trails and is about 1/4 mi from a lovely covered bridge. Also set about 3 miles from Plymouth, a quaint college town. Access to the interstate, scenic highways, state and national preserves is also very close. We took individual day drives along the minor routes into Vermont, Portland Maine, and the White Mountains leaving by 9am and returning by 7pm.
Cons: While we too tired to watch anything but a little amount of tv each evening, the audio quit on the tv shortly after it was turned on. The owner was advised and promised to look at it.
Also, be aware the unit is a wing of the house with a private entrance and separated by a wall that does expose you to audible noise and conversation in the main house.
Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay.
TV has been upgraded with a brand new sound bar system. As always, it is our utmost desire that our guests have the most comfortable and enjoyable stay possible and therefore respond to every issue in a timely manner. It is unfortunate we were not made aware that there still continued to be an issue with the TV. We regret not being given the opportunity to remedy the situation while our guest was still checked in.
Our area is home to many wonderful activities and festivals during the year. In the Winter months, we have the Ice Harvest Festival, ice fishing derbies, and ice hockey tournaments. In the Summer months, enjoy activities like outdoor farmer's markets, The Flume and The Basin nature areas (for fantastic natural water features), Bike Week, Squam Science Center, Squam Lakes Association and the annual Mushroom Fest. Additionally, you can always find fun talks scheduled on a variety of subjects. Some fun recent examples are, bee-keeping, maple sugaring, local dragon fly identification, celestial navigation, and women in the White Mountains at the turn of the century. Or get a taste of Americana at one of our regularly meeting square dancing/contra dancing groups. Our local vintage theater, The Flying Monkey, invites an eclectic mix of local and national headlining musicians, silent films, documentaries, talks, and community events. There's always something fun going on there. Loon Mountain Ski is 25 mins North, and we are 20 mins from Waterville Valley. Cannon is 30 mins north. Meredith (Lake Winnipesaukee) is 25 mins from us.The Flume and the Basin are both about 25 mins from us. World class rock climbing is about 15 mins from us. Kanacamagus scenic highway starts 25 mins North. The Polar Caves are 10 mins. We are the most ideal location, halfway between mountains and the Lake Region. Come for one area, or both! There are amazing hiking trails all around us, and the best Fall leaf-peeping around.
