Il Melarancio Country House

Typical charming country house situated on the Tuscan hills with an incredible view. Conveniently located just a 15 min drive from Florence, it's the perfect place to unwind and relax away from the chaos of the city center. Newly refurbished, comprises all the amenities that you should need for a comfortable stay. Perfect for a weekend getaway or longer stays. Small dogs are welcome too. Enjoy a glass of Chianti in the garden looking over the fields of olive trees and we'll think about the rest!

The house consists of a cozy and spacious living room with a fireplace, an en-suite bedroom, a kitchen and a small room you can use for storage.
It is an ideal base for a single person or a couple looking to enjoy and explore Florence and the nearby villages, and all the sites and attractions they has to offer.
The house has master bedroom with a large bed that fits 2 people, the third person will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living room.
DOGS ARE VERY WELCOME! We love dogs, we have a few ourselves so don't leave them home! We can take care of them for you if you can't bring them sightseeing with you (at a small extra cost) - just let us know before you arrive.
You will have free Wi-fi access. Towels and bed linen supplied and the bathroom has a hairdryer, shower gel and shampoo to save on your packing.
Coffee and tea will be provided along with a list of recommendations on where to go to experience our city and countryside at its best.

Enjoyed the property overall. The host was warm and welcoming, the bed was very comfortable, and the location made exploring the Tuscany area incredibly easy. The only drawback was that the air‑conditioner struggled to keep up with the August heat.

Had to wait at a secure gate both for check in and check out, not convenient. Had a storm while staying, water leaked through bedroom ceiling onto luggage and bed. Views are incredible, walking through olive groves in the back yard. Quick drive to the bus in Galluzo for easy and inexpensive access to Florence. Great little restaurant short walk down the street, and many villages short drive away to explore!

Amazing view!

The owner and her father were very easy to work, and they cared about making us feel comfortable. The views are as breathtaking as the pictures show. The house is small, but it had everything we needed.

Great place, beautiful view, excellent location

This is a really cool villa to stay at, just outside of Florence with good access to the Tuscany region. The place is very well equipped and appointed, and very clean. There are many restaurants and vineyards close by as well. Our host was very accommodating with excellent communication. Strongly recommend!!!

Charming property

We only stayed for two days but it was very enjoyable. The house is well equipped and clean in a very quiet town not far from Florence. The host was very attentive and responsive and made the check in process very easy. She also provided some helpful information to assist with parking and places to go.

Beautiful and relaxing

The property is more beautiful than the photos can express. The house is so charming, very clean, comfortable bed, safe, and well equipped. Alessandro is a very kind and generous host. Taxis had no trouble finding the place after telling them it was near the Bella Ciao restaurant.

Great spot for a home base to drive around Tuscany. Quiet and cozy. The villa is very old but fits into the scenery. You need a car to get around. Alessandro is a great host!

Lovely Tuscan house with beautiful views

Alessandro was very welcoming and helpful. We loved his clean, well equipped house and the beautiful views over the Tuscan countryside. It was only about 20 minutes into Florence by car and he advised us on the best car parks outside the ZTL zone. He also provided a long list of restaurants including gluten free ones. We highly recommend this place.

Beautiful Trip

My son and I traveled to Florence and wanted to stay in the countryside. The property was perfect for us. Everything is as described and our hosts were very helpful. The kitchen was very convenient and a grocery store is not far at all. Only 20-25 minutes to Florence. I would highly recommend using the Villa Constanza car park and train station to get into Florence. I tried to drive and spent a lot of time avoiding the ZTL areas and trying to find open parking. Villa Constanza was so easy.

This was the perfect place to call home for our 2 weeks in Tuscany! Alessandro was very accommodating and quickly answered any questions we had. His recommendations for where to dine and wineries to see were spot on. The fresh eggs, homemade jams and olive oil were a very nice addition. Traumhaft

Sehr netter Vermieter, der immer ansprechbar war und unmittelbar auf Wünsche reagiert hat. Die Wohnung war schön eingerichtet und das Bett super bequem. Traumhafter Blick von der Terrasse. Wir haben Florenz meist per Fahrrad erkundet, aber man muß schon etwas mutig sein um sich in den Verkehr zu stürzen...und besser ein E- bike haben, sonst wird der Rückweg sehr anstrengend. Als Info, es gibt keine Spülmaschine, womit wir eigentlich gerechnet hatten, war aber nicht schlimm. War auf jeden Fall ein unvergesslicher Urlaub und wir können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen. Liebe Grüße an den Vermieter.

Hübsches Häuschen in den Hügeln von Florenz

Sehr saubere, gut ausgestattete und schöne Unterkunft nur 15 Minuten von Florenz entfernt. Alessandro und Allegra waren wunderbare Gastgeber. Als leichte Schläfer fanden wir es nur schade, dass wir die Fenster bei den heissen Temperaturen nachts nicht auflassen konnten, weil der Lärm der Autobahn ziemlich ins Tal schallte.

Gorgeous Country Cottage

A phenominal place with even more amazing hosts. We arrived during an unannounced nation wide taxi strike and thought we may be stranded, but Allesandro very graciously picked us up from town! Our stay was fantastic, the place was decorated elegantly with an authentic rustic country feel, and the view was stunning. Fully equiped with everything you need to cook and relax. 11/10 stop looking and book this place! (recommended you rent a vehicle if you will be staying more than a few days as the bus was slightly unreliable and walking is not really an option. a 20euro taxi will get you to the edge of Florence)

Alessandro und seine Frau waren sehr angenehme Gastgeber! Für unseren "Seppi" (kleiner Bolonka) war in unserer Abwesenheit (Kulturprogramm in Florenz) gut gesorgt! Wir konnten Mitte Oktober bei angenehmen Temperaturen immer auf der Terrasse sitzen, wunderbarer Ausblick! Das Häuschen war sehr gut ausgestattet! WLAN funktionierte gut, TV leider nurmit italienische Programmen. Für Florenz-Besucher ein idealer Standort, ruhig und doch nur 15 Minuten in die Stadt!
