Shop, fuel and food nearby. The accomodation was basic but was all that we needed. Everything was clean.We could walk to the beach and the ocean breezes were amazing as well as the sound of the ocean at night. It was very peaceful, no rowdy neighbours.Bree was very accomodating and easy to deal with.

Perfect location to come and enjoy your trip, beds were all comfortable and the simplicity of this house makes you come and enjoy this magical location for what it is. Bree was such a great host and would definitely be booking again. And not to mention how cheap this property is compared to other options of the island. Thanks Bree for sharing your property with us

The Lodge was advertised as a basic fishing shack and it was exactly that. I qualify that by saying it had all the basics required for a very comfortable stay. Cooking facilities and utensils, pots all supplied. Heaps of pillows and blankets. 6 adults never ran out of gas hot water whilst limiting time in shower. Close to everything and still very private. Bree was around but not around as host.

We were upgraded to Sandjunes. Great views, accomodations was adequate and comfortable. Amenities all worked. Watch whales over a beverage. Close to shops.Had a great time and would come back.Value for money in my opinion

Just completed another fantastic week staying at the K'Gari Lodge. Just can't fault it.As usual our host Bree was always ready to help our group with any request that we had. She is just great. This would have to be the best value for money accommodation on the Eastern side of Fraser Island.The unit is well suited to provide a quality stay with a basic but well thought out array of essential services.Little things such as Bree having put a number of ice bricks in the large chest freezer ready to be used as soon as we arrived . This makes for a much more relaxing stay. We will definitely be staying here next year as it is the perfect accommodation for our fishing group.

Had a great stay. Location was great. Loved the big table to sit around for beers and stories of the day. Nice easy walk to the pub.

The Lodge is great place to stay very comfortable and clean great amenities and awesome bbq nice hot water and spacious I would definitely recommend this property for families only thing lacking was the kids beds are hard

Fraser Island Fun

Six of us really enjoyed our stay at The Lodge. It is very well provisioned and everything worked well. We were very well looked over by Bree, the the on-site contact. Already we are planning a return expedition to The Lodge in 2025.

Simple yet perfect!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the perfect accommodation providing a hot shower, comfy bed and a place to cook a meal. Bree was fabulous to communicate with and extremely friendly.

Perfect Base

What a great place to have as a base for our fishing holiday. Everything about this house was well thought out and worked perfectly. The manager Bree couldn't have been more accommodating to any request we had. The house provided everything we needed in the way of cooking,eating and sleeping facilities. We are already planning next year's trip and we will definitely be staying here again next year.

Our second year in a Bree managed property. When the only thing you can complain about is not having a plug to be able to do a shave then it's pretty well good. Oh and that the 500 piece puzzle had 498 pieces. Seriously as a 17 plus trip visitor to the island there's nothing to complain about

Fantastic little house

Just finished another great week staying at K'GARI LODGE. Our host Bree once again couldn't have been more helpful and ensured that everything we required was provided. She always makes you feel very welcome. The newly installed gas hot water made a perfect update and allowed us to have a nice hot shower after our fishing sessions. Little features like that made a great difference to our stay. The house is clean, comfortable and has every asset necessary to make it a perfect place to have a holiday. One of the best features is a large fridge which can hold plenty of fresh and frozen food and drinks as well as a large chest freezer for frozen fish, bait and ice. We always had ample room for frozen goods. It's great value for money and is an ideal base for when you want to explore the island. We are already planning next year's trip and will definitely be enjoying again staying at K'gari Lodge.

Would not recommend

A group of us stayed for 5 nights, on the 3rd night there was quite a large storm and down pour of rain, we got home just in time to get our belongings off the floor before the house flooded (about 6inch of water through the whole house). We understand that the weather is out of the care takers control but when we called bree to let her know what was happening we got the response of “don’t you have towels”. We already had picnic rugs and numerous towels on the floor. We then had to use our personal towels to try mop up the water meaning we had no towels for shower that night. Around 5 minutes after that phone call she barged through the front door without knocking or giving notice that she would be coming to the lodge. We also understand that situation could have been stressful but we found bree to be quite hostile and not polite at all. There was water coming through both front doors, the back door and even through the wall in the background bedroom. We had some of our personal belongings damaged including a laptop, Engel fridge, shoes ect. We had no choice but to clean up the mess left over from the house flooding, no help or assistance was offered. Upon checking out we ensured the house was left clean and tidy despite our experience. We tried to contact Bree in regards to our damaged belongs but she in now not answering any phone calls from us.

Very happy with the premises and host. Used for fishing trip so perfect for a base. Nice outdoor area for BBQ and taking in the evening sounds - but also a good indoor kitchen. Ticked all the boxes for our purposes
