Enjoy this 68m2 apartment on a high floor with balcony planted street and conservatory courtyard. Bright and comfortable, crossing east-west, located in a busy area, you can go on foot to visit the main places of the city. Living-dining room and balcony (double glazing), Separate kitchen open veranda, 2 comfortable bedrooms (1 bed 1,60m and another 1.40m), a shower room with Italian . WC. Guard in the building.

5 mins from the apartment, you will reach the banks of the Rhône recently appointed to begin a bucolic walk and visit the Parc de la Tête d'Or, one of the largest urban parks in France. A 3 minutes walk you will discover the top Bocuse Halles instead of Lyon cuisine or you can cross the peninsula to visit the historical center of Old Lyon registered in World Heritage Site since 1998 and then take the funicular to benefit from an exceptional view of the city from the Basilica of Fourvière. Peninsula Shopping Mall or the Part Dieu, 10 minutes. Bike rental at the foot of the building. Bus, tram and metro nearby.

Right from our first enquiry, Elisabeth went out of her way to be helpful and communicative. She answered all our questions and, as she was not going to be at the property when we arrived, she sent us detailed access information as well as many helpful notes and instructions inside the apartment.

We stayed several weeks and are in our 70s, so we needed a place to call home and this apartment fitted that role very well. Its location within walking distance to many shops (including a large mall), supermarkets, restaurants, and with Metro, tram and bus stops, as well as the main railway station, very close, was a very big plus for us.

All in all, we very much enjoyed staying in this apartment for all of the above-mentioned reasons and an owner like Elisabeth makes it that much more pleasurable.

The apartment is well situated to visit most of what Lyon has to offer and most of this is within a 15-20 minute walk. It is only 15 minutes from Part Dieu station and despite being on a fairly main road is exceptionally quiet - even with roadworks in the morning. Ideal for visiting the pres qu'ile and the old town, as well as the parc 'tete d'or'.

The apartment is right opposite a boulangerie/patisserie so great for the early morning croissants.

It is very well equipped and decorated. It is the owner's own place and as such the furnishings are all good quality. In the neighbourhood there are some good restaurants - but there are plenty within a shortish walk.

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone wanting a flat in Lyon in an upmarket neighbourhood, yet far enough away from the main tourist areas. it feels like you are actually 'living there' which for us is always a bonus.

Elisabeth was a great host right from the word go. She writes and speaks good English and she certainly helped me improve my written French!

An excellent centrally located Appartment

This appartment is very clean, tidy and well-appointed, even down to the provision of all cleaning and catering basics. Highly recommended for short stays given its excellent location between the train station and the old quarter, would also serve as a convenient base for those looking to explore the region given its access to road and rail networks. There is a comprehsively stocked supermarket within 5 minutes of the Appartment and a huge range of Bars, Bistro`s and Restaurants within a 10/15 mins stroll to suit all tastes, accessed by a superb and cheap public transport network of Trams, Metros and Buses.

Whilst the TV only showed a limited range of French Channels this was not significant as we were staying 5 days for the Euro 2016 Tournament so were out every night. At the time of our stay there were major roadwork's in the area so this generated noise in a morning, but once these are completed the area generally is quite relaxed and peaceful. The owner was on hand to greet us on arrival and explain everything, being extremely pleasant and helpful and was available to answer a couple of queries via her mobile phone during our stay. Overall I would rate this a strong 4.5 and plan to return with my wife either this Autumn or next Spring
