Condo needs updates

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the 2nd time we stayed at Olde Gatlinburg, b/c the location is so good. However, my husband and I were disappointed with the condo this stay; one of the bathroom sink handles leaked, only 1 roll of t.p. was provided, there were 4 (yes FOUR) coffee pots but no coffee or coffee filters, the couch was grody (pullout even grodier), the heat from the bedroom unit was intense and it took over an hour to cool the room down, and the bathroom towels were stringy and thin (and brown).

Centrally Located to Gatlinburg Attractions

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great, you could walk to all the attractions. The decor is very dated, early 1990s. The unit slept 4 but there were only 3 plates in the kitchen! All of the frying pans were scratched and ruined so no matter how much butter we used everything stuck to them, they need to get 1 decent pan. There was no toaster but there were 3 coffee machines?!? The kitchen needs to be inventoried and corrected.

Very Disappointed!!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our room was very outdated. The bed had paper stuck in the headboard to keep from squeaking I guess. The bed was also very bouncy, which caused us to get little sleep. Parts of the counter in kitchen were missing. Tile grout looked dirty from years of traffic I assume. A deep cleaning and a paint job could go a long ways on this place. We would not recommend anyone to stay in this unit for these reasons. Other than that, it was very convenient to downtown area.

We went to Gatlinburg with a group of us (8 people total) and we all stayed in this condo building. It was nice we could all sit on our patios and talk to each other. The decor was a bit outdated, but that was fine with us because it was clean. The towels were kinda thin. There was an empty pepsi bottle on top of the fridge when we got there and we found an old toothbrush stuck behind the dresser (we dropped something behind it so had to move it to get it). The bed was comfortable. Would have been nice to have some hangers in the closet because we didn't bring our own. It was close to everything and we walked everywhere! Overall it was fantastic for the price we paid and we would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Horrible Stay

Reviewer Comments: air conditioner in living room did not work and no attempt to fix it. The lady was very nice and helpful when we checked in and at least did call maintenance. The guy who worked there Friday was a jerk. Acted very unprofessional. And would not offer a discount for no Ac WORKING IN JULY!!!

Needs mattress

Only one roll of toilet paper for the weekend and the mattress was absolutely worn out. I’ve stayed in these condos for past 20 years but this was most uncomfortable stay I’ve ever had. Not looking for a glamour room but I want to at least sleep good. Invest a couple hundred bucks in the bedding if you ever want my business again

Just say no to condo #605

Everything about our stay was good except the condo itself. Smelly, water damage, peeling wallpaper, lightbulbs blown, coffee maker broken, vertical blinds missing, old uncomfortable bed, etc. This condo needs alot of TLC. We loved the location, which was a quick walk to all of the shops in Gatlinburg. The guy in the office was very nice and did agree to refund a portion of our stay, but we decided to stick with it.

Perfect place to stay

It was spacious as well as cozy. The decor being a bit outdated only added a charming homelike atmosphere. This is only price I will stay any time we visit the Smokies. Oh and price was amazing. Overall just perfect for anyone looking to stay at a home away from home.

Great location but condo needs some TLC

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed in this building before and like the location and the previous condo. However, condo 605 needs some work. Everything in it was very outdated and hadn't been deep cleaned in quite a while. The mattress on the bed and the one for the sofa bed were both a joke. I couldn't sleep on the mattress that was on the sofa bed since it was basically just springs so I had to sleep on the couch, which was very uncomfortable and smelled musty. There was mold on one of the pictures in the bedroom, stains on the living room carpet, broken blinds, a broken down chair in the living room, no lock on the bathroom door (there were three of us staying in the condo), and the toilet didn't always flush like it should. It could be a very cute condo with a little paint and some other minor repairs. After looking at the guest book in the unit, it seems this condo has been in bad condition for a long time so while I would recommend the condo building, I wouldn't recommend condo 605. Oh, but I will say it had great water pressure!

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Originaily booked rm 502. Refrigerator didn't work. The office said maintenance would look at it. While I was out they called and said it needed to be defrosted, it was frost free, or I could change rooms. Then was moved to rm 605. It was a little nicer and everything worked. On the last morning there I saw a bedbug on the bed and I took a picture. I had to wash EVERYTHING when I got home. I showed the office the picture and she said maintenance would look at it. The same one who wanted me to defrost a frost free frig that had no frost on it. Beds in both rooms were very worn out. When I was told I could change rooms I was given an hour to come back to the room, pack, and then move. Both rooms had major carpet stains. Wouldn't stay again. The girl at the office was very nice at least.
