Beautiful Home!

Our kids absolutely loved it here. Playing outside and checking out the toys was super exciting for them (ages 4, 6, and 9). The area was beautiful and so was the home. Absolutely would recommend!

Great stay in a peaceful neighborhood

My family and I had a great stay at Charlotte's. The house is in a tranquil community of Placitas, NM where there are great views, relaxing drives, and a great place to just be. We saw a wild horse! Charlotte was very communicative and helpful and the house was lovely just as presented.

Enjoyable stay

We had a pleasant and easy stay at this property. Communication with the host was very good, and we appreciated the guest book that was supplied (containing information about the cooling system, etc.). The sunsets, night skies, and storms were fun to view from the property. We hope to be back someday!

Amazing!

What an amazing sanctuary this is! We so enjoyed the quiet of the neighborhood—the stars are beautiful! So close to Santa Fe for art and Albuquerque for amazing food.

This Stunning Santa Fe/Adobe style home is located in the beautiful mountain community of Placitas. The high desert landscape is Amazing! Charlotte has thought of every detail to ensure you have an enjoyable stay! The home is conveniently located between Albuquerque & Santa Fe! Our stay was way too short & we can’t wait to return!

Great Ladies Retreat

It was excellent. Lovely property. Loved the horses. Thanks for having plenty of tissue, trash bag and towels for our stay. It was a well supplied, beautiful home.

Beautiful home

Our family loved how peaceful and beautiful this home was. Tucked into the surrounding rolling hills gave a great since of privacy and feeling of being surrounded by nature. All communication with the Hosts was very smooth. Our family really appreciated the fun games, books and activities stored at the home.

beautiful home in the desert

while we didn't spend much time at the property during our vacation, it was a nice quiet location deep in the desert. the night sky was bright with stars and the air was clean and peaceful. new mexico is becoming one of my favorite places to visit and this home added greatly to my enjoyment

Placitas Treasure

Charlotte and Arnaud have shared a spectacular New Mexico home. The house is sited perfectly on 1.5 acres to take full advantage of the geography and natural landscaping. It’s about as private and quiet as you can get. We confirm what others note about the home being well-equipped. And we can add that there are top-notch mattresses - a real bonus! Thank you for the kind hospitality.

Spectacular desert retreat!

Beautiful home in an incredibly peaceful, tranquil desert setting. Adobe-style house with all the amenities. Stocked kitchen, lovely patio perfect for morning coffee or sunset drinks, super-comfortable beds...gorgeous! Host were immediately responsive to any questions and provided very helpful information; they went above-and-beyond with their hospitality. Would stay there again in a heartbeat...highly recommend!!!

Great property

My mother in-law came into town unexpectedly and this was the perfect place for her to stay. The house is very clean, comfortable, and inviting. The owners are very kind and accommodating. Communication with the owners is great and they are quick to respond. The house is gorgeous and in a wonderful area. We'd definitely stay here again. My family from the city especially loved seeing the views and all the wildlife in the area.

Beautiful New Mexico Getaway

My family and I were in town for a wedding and wanted to stay in a special place. We found it in Charlotte’s home. It’s a beautiful adobe style house in the hills of Placitas. The area is very quiet with spectacular sunsets. The house has everything you could possibly need. It was spotless, comfortable and communication with Charlotte was very smooth. Very close to Santa Fe for a day trip. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. I would definitely stay there again.

Lovely Desert Retreat

This house exceeded all expectations. Charlotte has gone beyond all VRBO houses we have stayed in before. If this house doesn’t have it, you don’t need it. The adobe style house has interesting landscaping that fits in with the desert. She was very quick to answer any questions we had. Stay here if you want to be off the beaten path. Very peaceful.

Amazing Southwest Experience

The Placitas community where this home is located really gives you an appreciation for the SW architecture and lifestyle. The home is nicely decorated with SW art and furnishings. The owners really care about this property and keep it very clean and well maintained. We were lucky enough to experience a rain storm that blew through while hanging out on the covered deck - the smell of fresh rain in the desert air is amazing! We saw the wild horses in the community but only saw hoof prints on the property. Highly recommended!

Very comfortable, great location

The house was exactly as described, charming, clean, spacious and the view awesome. We used the whole house as we were 6. Everybody felt immediately comfortable. It was a good place to cut off from our routine. The kitchen equipment was ideal for cooking during a whole week (we like to cook). As it was our first time in New-Mexico, we were able to visit several national monuments and hike from this location. We came across twice the path of mustangs on the road, it was awesome (respect the speed limit though). The communication with the owners was always pleasant. Their informations were accurate and came promptly. We still have more to discover around, we would definitely come back!

Incredible sunsets!

This home is lovely! The house is exceptionally clean, and it was very comfortable for our family of 4. It felt like we were in another world; the rolling desert terrain, Adobe homes and incredible sunsets. The Balat’s are extremely accommodating, and we are so grateful they worked with our schedule change. With Albuquerque about 30 min away, it was convenient for restaurants, shopping and the Balloon Fiesta. We drove to Santa Fe for a Sunday excursion-and what a treat! The architecture, shopping and art galleries were all amazing! Note: many restaurants in Santa Fe are not open on Sunday’s; however, it did not prevent us from experiencing and enjoying the town. Balat Family-thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful Placitas home-what an experience! Thank you being so gracious and caring!!

Quiet Desert Living

I said to my husband, "Do you hear that?" He said, "I don't hear anything." I said, "Exactly." The increasingly rare actual quiet. This is a lovely house, well stocked for kicking back and relaxing--views from every window, comfy furniture, fully equipped kitchen, lots of outdoor seating, games and jigsaw puzzles, interesting books, a Bluetooth speaker for music, well, you get the idea. The owners have obviously put substantial thought into the decor, from the gorgeous cedar (?) floors to the rich desert color furnishings and artwork. And the grounds have been landscaped by someone who knows what they're doing--native plants and natural hardscaping that takes full advantage of the setting, a large property with privacy and open space. An authentic desert living experience (be prepared for a longish, winding way in from the main road). If you're seeking bustling towns and nightlife, this isn't the place for you, but if you're looking for a quiet spot to read a book, sip coffee, watch wildlife, and relax, this is just the ticket.
