About this property

Dreamy Cottage, Perfect Location to Lakes and Town! Cutest Cottage in Charlevoix

The cottage is our family's home away from home. We hope you fall in love with it as much as we have. As a family of 6 it fits us perfectly with a little room to spare. It is a special place that will call you back; you can feel the love!

We chose Charlevoix as our second home because we felt it is a perfect blend of all you could want: beauty, nature, fun, relaxation and Charlevoix is close to other destinations like Traverse City, Petoskey, Boyne City and Mackinac. From strolling the downtown shops, browsing an art fair or festival, walking to the lighthouse, taking a sunset cruise on the one of many charters, getting lost in the town's magnificent library, rock hunting, exploring the fall colors or winter sports, there is something for everyone nearby.

We have all that you need and more at the cottage, we tried to keep it as welcoming, true and authentic as a Michigan cottage could be. We have a 40" HDTV with a blu-ray DVD, Bose speakers and high speed wireless internet for those that need to stay connected. We also offer a gas Weber grill and patio set in the backyard. You get access to both of our paddle boards! Scattered throughout is artwork produced by our daughters and art handed down from our family. We ask you to explore and also respect our home as these things are dear to us.

The house is around 1400 sq ft. There are 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. One bedroom has a new Tempurpedic mattress. The second bedroom has a new full pillow-top mattress and the third bedroom is an open loft space (no door, between the other bedrooms) with 2 comfortable bunk beds (yes suitable for adults!).

Amazing stay. Lots of coffee options available from host. Great set up for family with kids (like us). It rained in Charlevoix but it wasn’t a worry as we played games as a family. Awesome location. Hope to return!

Another Amazing Stay

This was our third stay at the blue cottage and we always have an incredible and relaxing experience. It feels like a home away from home with all the amenities and special touches. The location is superb too! A quaint little retreat for anyone wishing to explore in Charlevoix!

Lovely little cottage

This cozy cottage was a perfect summer escape. Tucked in a quiet neighborhood just a block from the beach and close to town, it was peaceful and convenient. The space was clean, well-stocked, and filled with charming, eclectic decor that made it feel like home.

We had a great time at the cottage. It has a very cute, homey, and eclectic vibe. The neighborhood was great and was close to downtown. Plenty of space for 4 women. My sister and I both slept in the bunk beds, while our two older girlfriends slept in the larger beds. The bunks were plenty comfortable. I would definitely stay here again if traveling to the Charlevoix area. Note: if you have anyone in your group with mobility issues, this may not be the right house for you. It was just fine for us but the staircase up to the bedrooms and full bath is very narrow and steep, as is the case in most older homes from this same era.

Charlevoix Cottage

It is a beautiful little cottage in a very quiet neighborhood. There are multiple outdoor seating areas with lots of greenery and wildlife. Very bike friendly. It's an easy scenic walk into town. We had everything we needed and would definitely recommend it.

Charming home in a great location

The house is exactly as advertised, full of charm and historic character. It was a wonderful home base for a few days of skiing at Boyne and Boyne Highlands. It's in a beautiful neighborhood of tree lined streets and restored cottages. The fireplace in the living room was a great bonus after long days out on the slopes. We'd love to come back for another visit sometime!

Charlevoix the beautiful

Perfect stay in Charlevoix in a very nice neighborhood just a 10 minute walk to Lake Michigan, a 20 minute walk to downtown, or a 20 minute walk to Lake Charlevoix. Owner/property manager was extremely helpful. He has a paddleboard that we used and that turned out to be a lot of fun for all of us. House was very clean, everything worked well. There was plenty to do in and around Charlevoix like fishing, and mushroom houses, and feed the fish and hiking and golf and swimming and boating. Already planning another trip up to this location.

This place was fantastic. Everything we needed was right there and available for us. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and so convenient. The pictures were wildly accurate. The house was quiet, comfortable and very clean. The proximity to downtown and the beach was amazing. We walked to dinner and shopping. We walked to the marina and went out on the water with friends. We were in town for a wedding and we were so close to the venue we couldn’t have asked for a better location. The cottage is charming and well appointed. We’re definitely going to stay here again. And you can absolutely believe every positive review you’ve read about this cottage.

What a charming house!

We stayed in this wonderful house for the week of the Venetian Festival in Charlevoix. Great location. The walk into town takes about 10 minutes; the beach is a block away. The house is furnished with everything you could possibly need and is nicely decorated. We enjoyed using the gas grill. Easy check in and good communication with owner. I would definitely go back!

Fall Weekend getaway

Darling little house in on a great street 1/2 mile from Charlevoix main street. Very short walk to the Lake Michigan beach. House is very clean and nicely decorated. Beds are super comfortable. Backyard fire pit is amazing, love the solo stove. My husband and I biked to the Little Traverse Wheelway and rode to Petoskey. We also kayaked out of East Jordan. Town beach very nice, also.

Lovely winter cottage

We had a lovely stay in this charming house in Charlevoix. It has recently been renovated and was clean and cozy. The house notes need updating- as there is no longer a lock box on the pillar. Also the Wi-Fi password in the instructions is no longer valid.

Adorable!

Absolutely loved the property. So charming and well appointed at the same time. Really felt at home and hated to leave. Perfect location for us as my brother had just bought a property up the street, unknown to us when we booked! Super quiet neighborhood too. We enjoyed the fire pit several evenings as well. The owners have inspired me with their decorating flair. So creative, collected, and artistically done. Thank you!

Up north

Very cute older home close to skiing and things in town. WiFi worked on cell phones did not work consistently for some reason with our computers. A recommendation would be to have somewhere to place shoes and boots by both doors since not wearing shoesInside and it’s a tight space and winter with the water a mat by the side door would be great, we moved the one from the front. Also recommend more drinking glasses. Small things, the rest was great and would definitely rent again!
