Situated on a private road with approximately 2200 square feet. Yet, the property is only 1.5 miles to the heart of big Federal Way city where you can enjoy the diversity and variety of restaurants (fast food to gourmet food), grocery stores (organic to bulk), department stores (mall and shopping centers), movie theater, and more. Easy access to major highway/freeways: I-5, 167, 18, Pacific Highway. 15 minutes to SeaTac Airport. Less than 2 miles to the beach. In the middle between two major cities Seattle and Tacoma. High vaulted ceilings. Supper high vaulted living room with 3 couches for large gathering. Inviting dining room joined with large full kitchen with granite counter tops and tile. Family room with 2 large couch and gas fireplace. Large master bedroom with double pillow top bed with walk in closet and master bath. Master bath with 2-sink and jetted tub. Roomy full main bathroom with 2 sinks. Both bathrooms with granite countertop and tile. 2 large bedrooms, each with 2 single beds. You will enjoy the place!

Less than 1 mile to very clean, well maintain large green and on the lake Steel Lake park with jungle gym, swing set, and other entertainment for kids and adults.

Short driving distance to the Puget Sound beach with breath taking views, nice and long beach walk, plus several great restaurants.

You can combine with the other side of the house for total 20 Guests, total 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, 2 kitchens. Please ask owner for the availability.

The entire big house is divided into 3 separate sections/listings. Each listing has its own entrance and own space. This property listing - Grand - is about 70% of the house. except for the laundry room, there is no sharing space between the 3 listings, unless the adjacent listing is also booked. If interested, please ask owner for the adjacent listing link(s). This property is for general lodging and not to accommodate Guests medical nor allergy conditions

"GRAND" Delight!

We had an absolutely delightful stay at the "GRAND"! The rental itself was charming, well-maintained, and clean, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The living spaces were well-maintained and spotlessly clean, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The house came equipped with all the necessary amenities, making it convenient for guests to settle in and relax. The kitchen was fully functional, allowing for home-cooked meals. The amenities provided were plentiful and of high quality, making our stay comfortable and convenient. The location was perfect, offering easy access to local attractions and activities. Kathy was very gracious and accommodating to any concerns/questions we had. All in all, this vacation rental exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing getaway. We can't wait to return! Thank you, Kathy for giving us a place to stay during our visit.

Close to airport - Lot of house rules.

House is in the landing / taking off zone of SeaTac airport. Owner has "house" rules posted throughout the house. Sent a sheet of rules AFTER we booked the house. Example if someone came to "visit" during our stay that was $5 additional per person. "if we see more people on the property than booked . . . . you will be asked to leave - no refund." No shoes to be worn in the house". "Take the trash out when your leave" Etc., etc., etc., !! ! ! All bedroom are on the second floor. Master suite had bath and one hall bath for the other two bedrooms upstairs. NO bathrooms on the main level accessible. TV in great room very small (maybe a 42").

Not Bad

The listing was accurate, the home was very clean and the host , Kathy, was easy to communicate with. There are just a couple of reasons that I didn’t give it 5 stars overall. 1. Only one bedroom had a queen bed, the other two rooms had twin beds. We had two adult couples so one had to sleep in a room with twin beds. Didn’t care for that too much. 2. Couldn’t have visitors without paying extra. We have family that lives throughout the area and they couldn’t visit us unless we paid $5 per person. I don’t understand that. It should be ok for them to come over and sit and talk and visit. It was an extra $30 if someone stayed that wasn’t on the original guest list. The house sleeps 12-14 and we only had 7 so I don’t understand why it would be extra. 3. There is no bathroom downstairs so you have to go upstairs every time you needed to go to the bathroom. That was very inconvenient 4. In the main bedroom’s bathroom then have an old jetted tub/shower combo. The tub is big and tall so it was difficult to step in and out of it. Twice as I stepped out I hit my legs on the surround and have big bruises on the back of each of my legs. That tub needs to go. Agaim, overall it really wasn’t bad and we enjoyed our stay. We just wish a few things were different.

Thank you Carmen for the feedback. The configuration of bedding is exactly what we describe on the listing. There are two bathrooms and the other one has lower tub that I you can use. As for a number of people, our price is based on the number of people that Guest listed on the reservation. It’s impossible to guess how many will actually come. It’s fair people to pay less if they have less number of people and more if they have more. More people more cost for trash, utilities, consumption, wear and tear and more work afterward. And this policy is on the listing. The property capacity is 12, but since you put a much smaller number of people we charge you with a smaller number. Hence, if you have more people, additional cost needs to be paid.

BEST HOSTESS EVER

Kathy is an AMAZING person to work with and her customer service is OUTSTANDING! The property is clean and accommodating for 9 people. This was an easy and smooth process. I will definitely rent from Kathy in the future and I highly recommend staying at any of her properties. Thank you so much again Kathy!

Grand Time at Grand & Chosen One

Since we have a family of 7, we wanted to rent out both sides of this lovely home. Our kids slept in the larger side bedrooms while my wife and I had our own privacy in the Chosen One side; the host gives you the option to lock or unlock the door that separates both sides. We all enjoyed our stay, and the host answered all our questions in a timely manner. Because we rented both sides, we didn't have to worry about sharing the laundry room. Even though you have to go outside to get into the laundry room (takes 15-20 seconds), the whole place is fenced in, and it's a very safe neighborhood, and I got used to doing that really fast. Will definitely return to this place if we ever travel to the Pacific Northwest again. The host, Kathy, is very kind and thoughtful; just remember the Golden Rule rules, and you'll have a grand time like we all did here.

Great Host

This was a great house and location. Owner went out of her way to make us feel at home and even got involved in a project we were working on in the area. We will definitely stay here again.

Best Host Ever!

I rented the house for my daughter and her family coming in to town for her and her fiance's wedding. The owner was very nice to the whole family. My daughter loved the house, and loved the way the owner treated them. Next time my daughter comes back into town, we said she will definitely go through Kathy again. Disappointment

1. My first question and an important one to the property manager /owner and before I made payment was if we had use of the whole house. This was not answered it was delayed until after I paid for the property . If I had known the property was occupied by two other people staying in the house but in their own separate Units I would not have booked . It was purposely revealed until after payment 2. Hidden charges - As soon as I paid I felt threatened with all the extra charges per day $5 for any other person besides those registered who visit on a daily basis and an extra $30 for any unregistered persons staying overnight. Breach of these would result in forfeiture of deposit. These were hidden costs until property paid for. Not cool ! These are extra costs that should be revealed or disclosed right off the bat . 3. The property advertised on VRBO is photoshopped showing the property like it is located on its own with lots of space with a long long driveway to the garage when none of those exist at all . 3. The house interior served its purpose to give us space for small gathering. 4. Stove top was dirty hasn’t been looked after . 5. Cupboard below sink not clean. . 6. Laundry area - no access from family room key did not work. 7. There was only 1 remote for TV. 8. Not enough garbage bags provided ran out; my daughter had to bring some more. 9. Hammering next door on house been built started around 7am so early. Imposing building blocking view very suffocating to look at . 10. We would not recommend this property . It served its purpose thankfully briefly .

Kat, sorry you feel that way. The description shows that the house is divided and other section is rented. No sharing space excetp the laundry room (also shown on listing). Hence the entrance has to be from accessible for all, but not accessible to one property from the uninteded Guests. The house is on the private road. Recently, the next door property is being developed. Hence the noise. I have no control of that. The reminder is the same as the rules on the listing. Extra people needs to pay minimum charge. For example, we provided double trash bags to you, and all used up because extra people. Please think about the additional cost that we have to pay: trash, water, utilities, wear and tear. If people being honest and pay per what rate we put with the correct number of ppl using the property, there wouldnt be any issues nor concerns.

-Great central location -Perfect for any size family -Huge open layout that offers plenty of room -Comfortable -Quiet Home away from home!
