We had a great time in this cozy home by the ocean. Everything was super clean, easy check-in, good communication with the host Bill who was very helpful when we asked for a replacement gas bottle for the grill and some batteries for the fire alarm. The deck on the second floor invites to witness sunrises over the bay and the back porch is great for breakfast in the sun (at this time of the year). The veranda is great to enjoy a drink before dinner (even better with oysters you can get down the road).

The quaint little cottage and surrounding area was perfect for our ladies getaway. We enjoyed sitting on the decks and exploring Midcoast Maine the days we were there. The beds and bedrooms were comfortable and the cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Our host was gracious and responded promptly to any questions we asked. I definitely would go back there again!

This cottage is great. Beautiful location, nice big kitchen, lots of space, large decks to hang out on and beautiful views. Host was super nice and made us feel welcome but never bothered us. Will book again for next year!

This is a great, cozy house in a small, quiet fishing village at the end of Phippsburg. The house was perfectly clean and well stocked. The owner is very responsive to texts during our stay. The village is remote enough for spotty cell service but the house has solid WiFi. It has a second floor deck looking out over the ocean that is perfect for evening drinks. Bedrooms have AC, but during our stay there were great breezes coming off the water. The owner also rents out kayaks that can be launched from the rocky beach just a few houses away. This was our third year renting this house and we hope to be back!

We absolutely loved our stay. The property is in a quiet little village. The neighborhood was quiet and relaxing and the neighbors were kind and helpful. The property was clean and exactly as is described in the description. Bill stopped by to check on us and see if we needed anything. He was quick to reply and help when we had questions. If anyone is looking for a quiet get away I would recommend this place in a heartbeat.

4th of July long weekend

We stayed at Bill’s property for the long weekend over 4th of July. The views from the decks were amazing and Cat Cove was the perfect beach for our two kids and dog. We had a wonderful time and fell in love with Phippsburg!

Peaceful long weekend on the coast of Maine

We enjoyed every moment of our stay at the Sand Dollar Cottage. The home had everything we needed and the views of the water were extra special. The furnishings are comfortable and the place was very clean. We hope to return. It was super relaxing and the neighbors were so friendly!

Once again, a memorable stay

This was our second time of staying at Sand Dollar cottage. It is a comfortable and enjoyable place. We had an awesome time. We availed ourselves of the opportunity to have a private lobster dinner and a private oyster tasting right around the corner from our cottage.

Nice place

We stayed here for a family reunion in the area, and found it suited our needs just fine. West Point is a very small tightly packed hamlet but was very quiet, given the proximity of the houses to each other. The house is very comfortable and we liked the decks on the first and second floor.

Comfortable cottage near the water

Wonderful swimming in Cat Cove, and a nice quiet neighborhood. Bill was very responsive to the few small issues that arose.

Maine Cottage

We had a wonderful 5 day getaway to coastal Maine. The place was perfect for our needs, plenty of room, well stocked and well maintained. Best of all was the location right on West Point in Phippsburg, just a quick walk down to the waterfront with local lobstermen and an oyster shack/museum. We are definitely planning on coming back here next summer.

Perfect for what we needed

House was clean with plenty of space. Bathrooms newly renovated, deck was great for eating dinner and socializing. Small quiet little village Town with cheap lobster a walk away. Great small semi private beach close buy was great for the kids. Planning to stay again.

Great house in a quaint little fishing village at the end of the peninsula. Quiet little neighborhood around 15 min to Popham beach. Two decks, the top one has a great view and overlooks the ocean. The road out to the village has very little traffic, so great for morning runs and walks. Caretaker is very responsive to any issues.

Great cottage stay! Exactly what we expected. We ate fresh lobsters, went to Popham Beach, Fox Island, and explored Cat’s Cove!Cottage host even left us an 2025 access-pass to state parks (which we used every day)! Thank you!Double bathrooms were clutch after coming home from the beach and everyone needed a quick rinse to remove the salt from their bodies.BBQ grill in back was used every night to cook, ate out on the patio, observed the ocean from both decks! Wonderful 1week vacation location!
