Sweet little cabin that's in an excellent location! It met all of our needs, and the owner was very responsive to questions and allowed us early check in which was very helpful. It's an older cabin that has had some updating. You cannot beat staying anywhere in Lemmon Lodge if you're staying at Grand Lake! Beautiful, peaceful and very convenient.

Great getaway in the heart of Grand Lake

This cozy cabin (#21) had everything I needed for a perfect getaway. Tucked in a quiet spot, itā€™s just a short stroll to the lake, charming shops, great restaurants, and a cozy coffee stopā€”no need to drive at all during my four-day stay. Falling asleep each night to the soothing sound of the river was pure magic. A truly relaxing and beautiful tripā€”I canā€™t wait to come back.

Pros: well-located to town and the lake, nice and quiet neighborhoodā€¦ thatā€™s about it. Cons: tiny (pictures do it justice), no cold water in the kitchen, the entire floor slants and the paint is chipping on the ceiling, we never received access details and had to reach out to VRBO the morning of our trip, no firewood, bbq grill or other basic items that most other rental cabins come with. Overall, knew it was going to be *quaint* but after staying there we all agreed we would have found somewhere else for the end cost.

Convenient add on to another cabin

We own the adjacent cabin and needed an extra bedroom for visiting family. Our kids were happy with the king sized bed and being so close. This could be an option if someone was renting another cabin for a large group.

Easy living

Location of property was phenomenal. Great place for a couple to lay your head at night. Cabin is simple and provided what was listed. Loved being able to build a fire in the community fire pit by the lake or throw horseshoes if we felt like it. The option to rent a boat slip per day was really nice too! Loved walking to restaurants for meals and taking nightly walks on the boardwalk. Thanks!

All of the negative reviews are accurate. Cleanliness is a real issue particularly kitchen and throw pillows. Rundown, old,needs updating.Host designee unfriendly and no follow through. On site laundry closed and locked. Lack of inside security lock on cabin. Positive....location, location, location.

Get Away

We loved the location and small town. The property was great and very clean! We couldnā€™t open the lock box so we had to remember the code for the door. It did suck that we had to turn off the heat when we left everyday, but it did warm up in a couple of minutes.

Quaint Cabin

The cabin has everything you need for a quick getaway. Having coffee was a nice plus. The only complaint was that the cabin looks like it is on the beach. It is not. The front faces the road within in the resort area. You have to walk to the private beach. Other than that the grounds are nice and sitting by the river and lake in the public area is very nice.

cute cabin but dirty

This was a cute cabin and a great location with good heat and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was very clean with fresh towels, but the kitchen pans and plates were dirty as well as the couch, kitchen chairs and table. It was not a very clean experience overall.

Needs a good cleaning

The surroundings can't be beat, but for the cleaning fee they charge the state of the place was disappointing. We had to wipe out the fridge, re-clean some pots and pans, and the front of the place was covered in all kinds of cob/spider webs and just needed to be brushed down.

The only reason Iā€™m giving this 3 out of 5 stars is because of the location. The area is beautiful and everything is within walking distance, including the lake. The cabin is filthy. The dishes are old and dirty. I found dirty dishes in the dish washer. Would be a nice place to stay if the owner put time and money into improvements. The cleaning company does not clean. Disappointed in the lack of providing a clean place to stay.

No instructions for TV system ! Microwave 1950s bar Barely works! Heating system has two wall electric heaters no instructions . This Cabin needs a deep clean bad house keeping!! pillows and linens need to be replaced or cleaned. General condition of cabin is marginal . No back ups for for paper goods.

This place is a dump. Its filthy, trashed and really bad.

Terrible. Would not recommend. Front door doesnā€™t lock at times and doesnā€™t slide. The sheets were stuffed in a hole in the wall. The carpet is filthy. It simply should not be rented. Terriable experience.

Great location and cute cabin but dirty.

This cabin is cute and a great location in Grand Lake, but I was surprised at how dirty it was for the price we paid. The bathroom was very clean with fresh, new towels but the kitchen table was dirty and sticky and the chairs at the table had crumbs on them still. The couch was also dirty with some dirt or crumbs on it. We had to rewash most dishes as they had food still stuck to them and some of the pans still had significant oil/grease on them and hadn't even been rinsed. The bed was comfortable and the cabin was warm. We also couldn't get the dishwasher to work. I just expected a much cleaner place for the price.

Was just ok

This little cabin is really cute and in a good location. However upon checking in I noticed an abundance of hair throughout the placeā€¦ all over the bathroom floors, walls, in the shower, a big clump in the window sill above the kitchen sink. While this isnā€™t a huge deal, hair isnā€™t all that hard to sweep up with a broom or vacuum so that leads me to believe neither were done upon us checking in. The cabin itself is pretty dated as is much of the things in it (mainly the kitchen) which again no big deal everything served itā€™s purpose. Just wouldā€™ve been nice if it were throughly cleaned. Do note though that the furnace is in the living room and is quite loud if someone plans on sleeping on the couch. The property manager was super nice and responded to me in a very timely manner when I reached out. All in all I would not stay here again but thatā€™s just due to my standards for cleanliness

Loved the updated cabin. Everything we needed was there and the area is someplace we have loved for 30 years and cabin 21 has great memories for us and this time was no different.

Lemmon Lodge was great...this cabin filthy

I can't imagine why anyone would feel good about renting out such a dirty cabin. We booked 10 days in a privately-owned cabin at Lemmon Lodge. Imagine our shock when we walked into cabin 21 . The kitchen floor had dirt on it. Not sure what the bathroom floor had on it under the toilet. I won't tell you what it looked like . The carpet was full of soot stains and not vacuumed. Every surface was either Dusty or dirty . I wiped the dining table, dresser, coffee table and Dish shelves with white paper towels and they came up brown on each one of them. To make matters worse the glasses were Rim-side-down on this filthy Shelf. The furnace doesn't work. There is very little insulation, so your options are to use the wood burning stove (which had ashes floating all over the outside) or to use some small space heaters. The bathroom door doesn't close. The oven is dirty. The kitchen drawers and the flatware holder was dirty. I had to wash and disinfect everything . The closet is 2 feet wide, but has the hot water heater in it. So basically no closet space. But there was hot water, and I think the sheets were clean. It's such a shame. Because Lemmon Lodge is a wonderful place to be, well-kept and beautiful. We THANKFULLY had good weather so we could be outside.
