Tranquility @ Hindmarsh Island

Welcome to our little piece of heaven. Just over an hours drive from Adelaide is a place to really relax in. With breathtaking 180 degree views, overlooking a small island rookery, we are located in the beautiful Coorong Quays marina at Hindmarsh Island.

Goolwa Beach, river activities, art galleries, restaurants, cafes and Goolwa Shopping Centre are only minutes away.

Take a day trip to Currency Creek, McLaren Vale, or Langhorne Creek to sample the beautiful wine and food that these areas have to offer. Closer to home enjoy the food at our fabulous cafes .. Bombora on the River, Kuti Shack, Islanders Tavern and not to forget about Coorong Cafe, Mother Duck and Thai Days Restaurant .. you may need to book ahead as these are very popular with everyone.

This modern home is all about family, entertaining and relaxing and will sleep up to 8 adults comfortably. A large outdoor eating area and BBQ is just off the kitchen and lounge for your convenience.

The ground floor has an open plan kitchen, dining and living area overlooking the beautiful water views and protected outdoor entertaining area. The master bedroom, with walk in robe and ensuite is on the ground floor. A separate guest power room is also on the ground floor.

The upstairs level has 3 bedrooms - 2 queen beds and 2 king singles. There is a large lounge area on this level with 2 comfy sofas. A good size bathroom with free standing bath completes this level.

Please note that this is a no pet and a non smoking rental.

A beautiful waterfront property. Very peaceful and relaxing. Had plenty of rooms and space for the 6 of us staying. A really lovely property, the managers were very quick to respond with any queries we had. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Amazing place

Great place for family and friends to stay over weenends. The place is very clean and very spacious! You will find all the essentials to have an enjoyable stay. There are lots of board games, TV shows and movie CDs to entertain your kids and family. The place is very quite and it offers quality sleep, specially with airconditioned rooms. The hosts are super friendly and they are always available to assist in case you run into truobles. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this beautiful place and would definitly come back.

Loved it so much I will be booking again soon!

The booking process was easy. The owner Marita was absolutely available it seems every time I had a question, and I had a few on arrival. I am very grateful for her help. My first impression of Tranquility was excellence! It was immaculate in every possible way, it even smelt really nice. It was fully loaded, had more than everything that I needed. The pillows and bed were comfy. The neighbors were nice. Marita and Craig had even left a surprize bottle of wine for me which was a really nice surprize on arrival. I really enjoyed sitting out the back looking over the waterways and watching the sunset over the hills. I loved it so much that I am booking again this year.

Magnificent house in a magnificent location

Highly recommended. A magnificent house in such a magic spot. The house itself is spacious, opulent and so tastefully decorated. We spent hours sitting on the back porch watching the marina life. Had such a good time we extended our stay. We will definitely be back

Fantastic family holiday!

We had an absolutely fantastic holiday. The house was as described but in reality it was even better. The house was stocked with all the creature comforts and very clean. Tranquility @ Hindmarsh Island is a fantastic location only a few minutes from the nice town of Goolwa. The children enjoyed hours of play swimming and canoeing in the channel and jumping off the jetty. Bike riding along the endless jetty's and bike paths around the area were also great. The owners have been fantastic to deal with, always quick to respond and answer any queries. Highly recommended!!!

Lovely venue

Just fantastic!!

This place is so amazing. We have stayed here twice now and already booked our third stay. Absolutely immaculate property inside and outside, with everything imaginable you could possibly want. All cooking appliances are spotless with plenty of crockery etc. Our kids loved it and so did we!! Would highly recommend.

Great Spot - House is beautiful

Craig and I built this house in 2014. We love the local area and always knew that we would love to have our own holiday home in Goolwa one day.. so when we finally achieved our dream we wanted to be able to share our piece of heaven with others. I'm sure you will love staying here as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

The view from the lounge/dining area is magical. Overlooking two islands with a small bird rookery it’s wonderful to see the bird life so close to you.

What makes this property unique

This is a great house that caters for family as well as entertaining as the kitchen lounge area opens onto the BBQ courtyard dining area. Stunning views over the canal and island rookery.
