Impresionante frente al mar en North Topsail Beach, Carolina del Norte

Hi, we are Tom and Lorraine. We discovered Topsail Island in 2006 while visiting relatives. With a combined 47 years of military service, we've traveled worldwide and found North Topsail Beach to be the best beach for the full ocean experience. It’s the raw beauty. The Atlantic Ocean at its best. This part of the 26 miles island is does not feel commercialized. Lorraine, originally from Connecticut, has always loved the ocean and considers herself a Connoisseur of the ocean. Tom is retired, a skier and pheasant hunter, prefers the Midwest's cold climate, though Lorraine would move to North Topsail Beach in a heartbeat.

A guest recently asked – how did you stumble across Topsail Island? Good question. The thing is you almost have to know someone who knows someone who knows someone. This is North Carolina’s secret…. A hidden gem.
And I did happen to know someone– my brother-in-law retired in Hampstead. Hampstead is the beach town of Topsail Island. If you -blink - you missed it. I always wanted Ocean front property having grown up on the Connecticut side of Long Island sound. I have been all over the world with my military career - seen many oceans worldwide. So, my sister said – you need to check out the beaches of Topsail Island. Her husband’s family went there on vacations way back in the day.
So, in 2005 while at a tradeshow in Altana for my business, where we decided everything went wrong that could have – I said to Tom - let’s get out of here and drive to Topsail and look at properties. That was in November 2005. May 2006, I closed on the dunes. The following year, the Regis.
I finally felt I had my little slice of heaven. And that is what Topsail island really is.
