Retro beach charm

While the house is older, there are lots of updates and it’s maintained its retro charm/character. A few minutes drive from Lincoln City, we loved being able to walk to the stunning and quiet beach.

Overall very nice house, but some dishes were dirty and needed washed before using, not many towels in kitchen, and hot tub jets were nonexistent. Hot tub jets need fixed/updated. This was my only reason for staying here so huge disappointment!!

Off the beaten path

House was was great had everything we needed plenty of towels and extra blankets! Hot tub was awesome! Bad side no cell service and I wish the fence was all the way around the house for the dogs! Beach access was lovely and easy to get to!

Quiet and secluded

We so enjoyed this place. We only saw one other person on the whole street. It was so quiet and peaceful. We saw deer walking around, and the variety of birds was wonderful. Within minutes we were able to go hiking with great scenery. The house had plenty of "in home" activities if the rainy days had been upon us. The only complaint was that it took 24 hours to get the hot tub up to a comfortable temperature but it was remarkably cleaner than others we have encountered..The yard was great and our little Zippy enjoyed exploring, as well as seeing his first deer even though they seemed to scare him a little. Will highly recommend this place to others and cannot wait to return. Thank you for having us. Angela

Long weekend at the beach

Property is on a quiet street with multiple other vacation rentals. It's a short easy walk to an amazing beach with very few people. While the perceived intent of the property is "retro", it's actually very dated and needing some updating. Many of the dishware items are chipped and ragged and most of the pots/pans/utensils should be replaced. The game room was pretty worn down and although my daughter still enjoyed it, it needs some attention. Cleanliness was okay, but not great. It felt like we borrowed a friend's cabin for the weekend. Towels were fraying and worn. Hot tub was hot, but the jets did not function properly. Overall, it was a nice weekend, but for the price, this property needs some serious TLC.

The best!

Everything was perfect! Well stocked house that we didn’t need a thing! Loved the hot tub and the fire pit. The yard is beautiful and it’s a perfect walk to the beach. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. Will stay again!

Hot Tub doesnt work. Trust me.

So as most reviews will state, I will re-iterate- the hot tub works, but it takes 2 full days to hear up. If you are only staying two days, guess what.....you will not use the hot tub. I requested that the hottub be prepped before i got there. It was at 65. The next day it got up to 86 (still not warm enough), then finally on the day of checkout, 104. But i think that is broken too because it didnt feel Hot at all. The jets barely work. Just replace the damn thing. If you selected this place because the hottub, i wouldnt stay here. Other than that, its a nice property. I'm giving a 2 start review because it advertised a hot tub that doesn't work. They got many complaints and it still doesn't work. Great management, just replace the hot tub.

Fun beach weekend

We had a great time staying at this home throughout the weekend and really enjoyed the location. Everything was clean and there was a super bed in the laundry room that we weren’t expecting. The hot tub did take longer than expected to reach an ideal temp, but when it did we were all happy and pleased! We did have some issues with the front/hall lights and lights switches not turning on, but the breaker being flipped seemed to fix the problem. This place is quirky and cute, in a quiet neighborhood, and overall a fun find!

Some Positives and Negatives

First, I should say that the teens had a great time, and that's what matters since this trip was for them. That being said, there are some things I think the owners/management should address. Positive: Customer service - the property host got back to us very quickly after I reached out to her (one of the two hot tub locks was rusted shut), and the repairman fixed it first thing the next morning. Negative: There is no cell service at or around the house whatsoever. They really need to put that in the listing. Although the WiFi works fine, there is no ability to call or text anyone. This wouldn't normally be an problem except that we needed to be in contact with the property host regarding the above issue. You need to go into town to be able to call/text anyone including any emergency services (there is no landline on site). Positive: Game room! Negative: Smell in the game room Positive: Hot tub and location (close to beach) Negative: This house only really fits 6-7, not 8. Unlike the photos, they shoved another bed in the outside laundry room/ shed (which does not have any heat) in order to say it sleeps 8. Maybe that works for 3 months of the year and don't mind the tight squeeze, but not for us. Our 7th person slept on the couch (which doesn't pull out). Other positives: lots of linens, ice machine, Roku and tv setups, kitchenware, etc. Other negatives: This house (especially the living room) is about 15-20% smaller than it appears in the photos. It is not a large 8-person house as it implies. There was mold/stains on some of the blinds. No dishwasher. Overall, I would take a group of 5-6 people back here if they dropped the price by a few hundred for 3 nights/days. But I would definitely not come back here with 7-8 people, especially at the price we got it at. The fees were WAY too much, especially with everything mentioned above.

Rain didn’t impede our fun

This is a warm and cozy camp-style 1960’s house on a quiet street just a few minutes walk to the beach and trails to hike and explore. It was perfect for sitting around the fire, soaking in the hot tub and gathering for board games late into the night. I suggest new pillows - and offering enough dish detergent for a four night visit. Otherwise, we made the kitchen/cooking supplies work for all our meals. It was perfect for us! Loved it!

Family get away

Beautiful family get away! Minutes to a beautiful private beach area. Everything clean and comfortable. Only downside was there is no dishwasher, which is annoying with a lot of people. Other than that, it was a lovely weekend.

Seaside fun

Disappointed

The location was awesome but there were some cleanliness issues, just some instructions printed out for the Hot tub would of been great we didn't know how to use it and had to Youtube it and then it took into the day after check in for it to get to 94 Degrees, the BBQ and the Washing Machine were disgusting and we would not use them.

quiet and relaxing

We had a wonderful time. Our little Zippy loved looking around the yard and watching the Hummingbirds. Ordered milkshakes from the Cheese Factory and enjoyed them as we sat by the fire, watched movies and listened to the rain. The Hot Tub was very relaxing before bed and we slept great. The neighborhood is so quiet. The only noises we heard were from the birds in the yard. Hiking is available just couple miles up the street and the beach is only a short walk away. If you're looking to drive on the beach the access is just a mile or so south. Looking forward to returning soon. Thank you for wonderful vacation.

Great spot on the coast!

The location is fantastic. The house is comfortable, well furnished, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The hot tub was at 103 degrees when we arrived so no lag in our ability to use it. Cannot recommend it enough and can’t wait to go back!

Great beach location

It was our first time staying at Tierra Del Mar aftet spending years in Pacific City. We were looking for a quieter location to spend Thanksgiving together and were very pleased with this house and how easy it was to get to the beach, and only 5 min from Pacific City. We had a wonderful time there and hope to return soon.

Cute Vintage Beach House

House was pretty cute! Vintage touches pretty well kept. It seemed like someone bought an older couple's vacation spot that hadn't been updated in 40 years but cleaned it up. Blinds in largest bedroom were slightly ill-functioning. They could use a new cover for the hot tub, but such a quick walk to the beach. This is one of my favorite areas on the coast.
