This property was exactly what we were looking for, a place on a river where we could disconnect. The house was decorated in a thoughtful way. It was cute and fit the house well. The hosts were kind and attentive which allowed us ample time to explore the surrounding area, or just trelax on the grounds. We had a great stay and would recommend to everyone whose eye is caught by the stone house on the river.

Jodi was a wonderful host. This home has such rich history and you see the love and details they have put into restoring this home. We loved the pet run for our dog and although we do not have young kids, there is plenty of activities to enjoy for all ages. We will definitely be booking another stay.

Wonderful Home - Perfect Relaxation

We loved our stay at this adorable cottage. The private river access and spots to sit along the river were well thought out and gorgeous. The cottage itself was well decorated and felt cozy. They even had a dog run outside, which was perfect. We'd definitely stay here again.

Heaven on earth.

This property was so dreamy! It is situated on a beautiful creekside meadow and the historic stone house has been meticulously renovated. We saw deer and an eagle on the property while there. What a great place to take life easy for awhile!

The house is beautiful and the property is breathtaking! We had a wonderful week relaxing, fishing, tubing and sitting by the bonfire! We will definitely be renting this property again. Thank you Jodi and Adam for a wonderful week, and your thoughtfulness regarding the loss of our pup :-)

This property exceeded my expectations. The beautiful setting and peaceful surroundings made for a truly enjoyable weekend. Even thought the creek was cold my boys spend hours floating on it.

Amazing Weekend Away

Beautiful property. We had a great weekend with friends tubing, enjoying the property, and exploring the area. Our dogs loved the place. Had an issue with yellow jackets in the dog run, but the owners were super responsive. We plan to come back. If we were to imagine our dream home, it would be this! What a special place!

A magical escape!

I would give this property more than 5 stars if possible! We were blown away by the property! The grounds were beautiful and having your own private river park for tubing and exploring is priceless. The cabin is perfect- clean and cozy, with all the necessary amenities. The swings, kayaks, and tubes are the icing on the cake. This was my favorite vacation rental so far! We hope to return!

Secluded getaway

Had a peaceful stay. Accommodation was convenient. A bit muddy for dogs but the dog run was dry. For an old dog, the stairs were an issue but access to the dog run on the second floor was convenient. Definitely an option if I need to be in town again

We definitely know what it’s like not being able to bring the furry family members away most places we visit, which is why we for sure accommodate them for our guests! So glad your dogs enjoyed the dog run and you had a peaceful stay :)

The perfect getaway

We love this magical place, so much that we returned again. The hosts are wonderful and responsive to your needs. It’s clear that they want you to enjoy their special property along Muddy Creek. Everything is perfect in and outside the cabin. It’s just right for both relaxing and adventure. Try the tubes on the creek and the big swing, you won’t regret it!

Amazing property!

I thought we were renting a cute cabin but had no idea about the property itself. The cabin is indeed adorable (and 200 years old!) but also on acres of land, a creek, and it's stunning. The hosts were responsive and thoughtful, and made our stay comfortable. Every detail considered. Highly recommend (but don't tell everyone, we want to be future renters too!).

Birthday Weekend

The cabin at muddy creek couldn’t have been a better choice for a birthday weekend. The property is amazing and gave us the opportunity to completely unplug. It was a great place for our dog Lucy as well with trails and the creek steps from the house. Jodi and Adam were excellent hosts who made the entire check in and check out process seamless and we’re always a text away if need be. We look forward to our next visit.

More often than not do I find myself underwhelmed at the real life experiences depicted by online influence trying to upsell a charming old world atmosphere, however, not only did this not disappoint, it exceeded expectations. The property is sprawling and beautiful, allowing for quiet isolation in elegant serenity. After putting fur babies in the dog run, we were free to explore the grounds, listen to the creek, grill, and just decompress. At the end of the day, being able to come inside and flop on some of the charming and comfortable leather furniture to cozy up to a movie or listen to music was just a welcome compliment to the oasis outside the walls. Each floor had its charms and its purpose, nothing lacked. We woke up to cardinals in the windows, and finished each night with a landscape speckled in fireflies. To top it off, the host had gone above and beyond to anticipate our every want and need while always making themselves available if we had any questions. We fell in love with this place, and we can’t wait to return. I can’t stress how lovely this place was. Whether you need to relax in stillness and quiet or blow off steam around a fire, or get in to an array of physical activities, it’s safe to say there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Solid 12 out of 10. PS, this review was not provoked or prompted. I stand behind every word.
