This is not a beach house
Our stay was disappointing. I stayed with my children and friends who are Costa Rican. The house is not on the beach, it its on the busy main road, and there is NOT easy or safe access to the beach. The road is very loud and it was almost impossible to sleep in the upstairs bedroom, which physically shook when vehicles went by. I am told that this should really be called a "Ranchito" . Very rustic. If you are looking for a place that is 90% outdoors - kitchen, breakfast bar, dining room, living room etc. then you will be pleased. The only rooms that were indoors/enclosed were 3 bedrooms and a cabana by the pool. There was no hot water in the kitchen and no washer or dryer. There wasn't even salt and pepper stocked at the house, we had to go out and buy even the most basic condiments and sugar, every previous place I have ever rented has had at least salt and peper and some suger +/_ tea or coffee to get the guest started. The 2 ground level bedrooms were infested with large ants, and my children had to push their beds into the middle of the room and put the bed legs in pans of water to prevent ants crawling on them in the night. A/C in the only quiet small bedroom did not work , and everyday it was "fixed" and every night it failed. I emailed the host my concerns and received no response during our stay.
On the final day we were to check out at 10, cleaners came hours early and used a leaf blower to clean the main part of the house! We couldn't even have breakfast at the house on our last day. I have rented many homes through VRBO and have never had such a disappointing experience.
