Our condo, Whaler #502, is a two bedroom/two bathroom, ocean front condominium on the fifth floor of the north tower at the Whaler on Kaanapali Beach ... you can stand on the lanai, throw a tennis ball and hit the beach. It is large (1,950 sq. ft. including the lanai, 1,440 sq. ft. interior), can accommodate up to five people and has the following bedding: King bed - master bedroom, Two Queen beds - second bedroom. There is no sofa bed in the living room.

The Whaler is a luxury beachfront condominium resort located directly on World-Famous Kaanapali Beach, next to Whalers Village Shopping Center, on the West Coast of Maui between Lahaina and Kapalua. The Whaler offers spacious studio, one and two bedroom condominiums, each with a large tiled lanai. The units are Ocean Front, Ocean View or Garden View.

Our condo, Whaler #502, features a $150K+ remodel (and we're not done yet), central air-conditioning, a washer/dryer in the condo for guest use (many Whaler condos do not have a washer/dryer inside the condo), three color TVs (Samsung 60" TV in the living room and a Sony 46" TV in each bedroom), a fully equipped kitchen, free high speed cable and wi-fi Internet and more.

No pets. No smoking.

Will never stay anywhere else

We stayed 7 nts in this condo. The planning was extremely easy and well organized by the owner. Rick was very easy to work with and outlined all of the procedures before our arrival so there were no surprises. When we arrived my family immediately fell in love with this condo. It has a great view, right on the beach and was spotless. It certainly did not look like a rental unit. The condo has everything you need down to beach chairs and an ice chest. The kitchen and both bathrooms were newly remodeled and the beds were very comfortable. One highlight for this condo is the size of the lanai. Most lanai's only have room for a couple chairs. This one is huge and wraps around the side of the building. I spent many hours sitting outside just watching and listening to the ocean. We had a great time and I am serious that we will never stay at another property while in Maui.

Hands vacation spot on Maui!

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to provide a review for our recent stay in Maui. I have had the opportunity to visit Maui multiple times & I can say without a doubt this is HANDS DOWN the best place I have ever stayed. The location cannot be beat - right in the heart of Kaanapali & literally a stone's throw from the beach. The condo has a full frontal, unobstructed view of the ocean & the wrap around lanai allows you to enjoy the view & the spectacular sunsets from every angle. I read all the previous reviews & comments about the location, & was certainly expecting it to be amazing, but the moment we walked into the condo & actually saw the view, we were speechless! There is just no way to truly describe how spectacular it is; it is beyond breathtaking. The condo itself was in pristine condition & was luxurious yet very comfortable & accommodated our family of 5 perfectly. It is very spacious & literally had everything we needed, including beach chairs, umbrella & cooler! The amenities at the condo were superb! We took advantage of the generous work-out facility as well as the newly opened spa. (The hot stone massage was heavenly!!). In addition to being beach-front, the condo was also just steps from the ocean-front pool as well as a generous patio & outdoor BBQ facility. Beach towels are provided poolside & can be exchanged at any time. It was especially nice not having to deal with sandy towels in the condo. The bedrooms were enormous & had direct access to the lanai, & the updated bathrooms & kitchen were beautiful. Enjoying coffee in the mornings on the lanai or a glass of wine while watching the spectacular sunsets in the evenings were some of my favorite moments. And falling asleep to the peaceful sound of the ocean just outside our window was the best way to end each day.

I also have to say that working with Rick on the reservation process was so easy & stress free. He was so helpful & proactively communicated with us every step of the way, before, during & after our trip. One of the easiest transactions I've ever experienced. It was truly a pleasure working with him. As well, the staff at The Whalers were so friendly & helpful & made everything super easy. Check-in & check-out were a breeze.

Needless to say, we were very sad when it came time to leave. Everything about this family vacation was just perfect. Rick will be the first person I contact when we plan our next trip to Maui. I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

Beautiful propertywith the most incredible access to the beach!

This is a beautifully updated condo with the most amazing views of Kaanapali beach & Blackrock from the large corner balcony! You are literally steps away from the ocean & pool. The owner was a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay at the oceanfront Whaler condo #502 located at Kaanapali Beach in February 2017. The wrap around lanai offered either sun or shade all day long as well as a beautiful oceanfront view. The condo was fully equipped and met all of our kitchen, entertainment and sleep needs. The beach chairs and umbrella were most appreciated.

I highly recommend this condo for rent and personally hope to return in the future.

Can't say enough positive things about our stay at this unit. Rick's communication and responsiveness was fantastic and the condo was everything it was advertised to be. The updates are top quality and the view is one of the best in Kaanapali! Can't wait to return!
