We had a wonderful stay. Weather was beautiful and condo was awesome. The condo is as described. Large for our family. Beautifully decorated and a/c worked great. Location is perfect. Only complaint we had was the floor was a little dirty. Would stay again. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful condo

Condo is spacious and beautifully decorated. Short walk to the beach with access to all the pools/amenities at Pelican Beach Resort. We had a great time!

Beautiful location

Condo was very welcoming. Great location. Our family enjoyed being able to cook together and hand out inside and out. Plenty to do within walking distance. Felt very safe which is super important especially with kids. Look forward to visiting again.

This place was wonderful. Definitely more space than we needed but the patio area was very enjoyable! Bed both slept well and the pictures were exactly what it is. Definitely recommend this accommodation. Grocery store was in walking distance and many restaurants.

Lovely condo

We did have trouble checking in. It was confusing going into the building with the actual address on it and then having to go to another building to actually register. Then we found we were in front of the wrong room in the second building. It took a few calls to locate the property contact. Once we did though she was very helpful and directed us back to the original building where we finally got into the correct unit. After that confusing beginning, everything was smooth sailing and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Comfy beds and beautiful decor.

Great gateway but not perfect

We enjoyed our stay overall with my family of 4. The apartment is spacious and the distance to the beach is great. The pool was very nice and it was enjoyable to have a smaller building therefore less crowds. We unfortunately found the floors extremely filthy at arrival, which thankfully was corrected the next morning. We also thought a lot of the essentials were not made available such as cleaning products or sponges. We also had issues with the building alarms going off twice during our stay. The couch is small and quite uncomfortable. We liked the location even though we were under the impression that we could walk on the bridge with the fountain.... Don't be duped. That's not for us lol. It's a gated community. Overall great memories made with my children despite all the little issues. ning

Not as advertised

Upon arrival the instructions were outdated and confusing. The gate guard required a reservation confirmation that wasn’t provided to us. The ceiling fan in the master bedroom did not work, nor did the guest room ceiling fan light, the rear left burner on the stove, the table lamp adjacent to the dining room, the stand-up lamp in the corner, or the master bedroom table lamps. The dryer didn’t work either. After this disaster VRBO did nothing to compensate for the discrepancies. I’ll never use the platform again.

Should be a 5 Star place, but it’s dirty and worn

This looks like a gorgeous property in the photos and at one time it probably was, but it was unacceptably dirty and much of it was really worn, which ruined much of our stay. Properties like this need to be maintained and refurbished often and this owner and property manager have been told this before in online reviews and their guest book (which has been full since last August btw). Nightstands were dirty with drink rings and spilled juice, baseboards had dust on them, sofa and chairs were so dirty, we put towels on them and the coffee table had so much dirt and dust in the bottom of it, it looked like a felt carpet, walls has stains and marks everywhere, under the sofa and beds was filthy and the floors quickly made your feet black and we then worn our shoes inside. Throw pillows were dirty and worn. One shower had no curtain loner and both shower’s curtains and liners were stained and mildewed. Just GROSS! My friend took bought allergy medication when she started having a runny nose and sneezing fits. Light fixture in bathroom was caked with dust. Vent in guest bath was half off the ceiling and dust stains coated the ceiling. Also, no additional toilet paper or trash bags provided, which is a basic and no beach towels provided. Nice furniture, but a lot of it is way too dirty and or worn. Happy that at least the sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. But I’ve stayed in over 60 rentals and this is the first time I’m writing a review like thisjust bad!

This property is NOT as listed. Renters beware. When we got to the condo there was an awful fish smell. After trying to locate the smell, we determined it might be from the garbage disposal, I attempted to clean it but had no luck. I called the property manager and she came over the next day to give us cleaner that didn’t work either. The bed linens and furniture all smelled like fish. I ended up having to go buy air fresheners to mask the smell. When we pulled the towels out to shower, the linens were dirty. After spilling some water on the floor, I grabbed a paper towel to wipe it up and the paper towel was filthy. The floor was disgusting. The property manager told us someone would come and mop the floor the next day but no one showed up so we ended up borrowing a mop and buying floor cleaner to mop the floors, not really what I wanted to do on vacation. Upon further inspection, the condo was disgusting and looked like the cleaners only made the beds and put “new” towels outs. There was toothpaste spit on the mirrors in the bathroom, brown stains on the curtains of the living room, and thick dust on the back of the couch and the pictures. This condo needs a lot of maintenance and updates. The master bathroom has mold around the baseboards and the shower curtain rods are rusted. The best thing the owner can do is take it off the list to rent and update everything. We had relatives stay in a different condo in this complex and their unit was so clean and updated for the same rental price. On a positive, the onsite property manager was responses but after a while I got tired of spending my vacation communicating about all the problems.

When we were notified of this our maintenance supervisor arrived, and she did not smell a fish odor in the unit. We apologize that you had that experience. - We apologize for the lack of cleanliness. We have the home professionally cleaned in between each guest's stay, however, it is clear that things were missed. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We will be reaching out to our team to set forth better cleaning practices. - We're sorry you found dirty towels in the home. We were told that new towels were dropped off the next morning. The items that you did reach out about were rectified within 24 hours. We strive to make sure each guest has a great experience and we are always willing to make improvements where needed!

We were pleased with our stay here overall. It was quite spacious and the kitchen was fully stocked. I like that it was on a lower floor so we could use the stairs. It also has a nice view of the pool, which can get loud but didn't bother us. It is also SUPER close to the beach, you basically walk through a parking lot and are there in 3 minutes. Other reviews had mentioned issues with the security guards and cleanliness, but we didn't experience that at all. The only thing I wish I had known prior to arriving is that the beach does not allow tents or coolers. You can rent their chairs/umbrella for $35/day or buy an umbrella yourself, which has to stay behind the 3-4 rows of chairs available for rent. This was a bummer because we flew and had brought a packable tent. We ended up driving over to Henderson Beach State Park a few times (~2 mi away) because we were told this is the closest location where we could use our own tent and coolers. For anyone booking this condo, call the beach chair rental ahead of time so that you can book your chairs and umbrella for the first row. I got there as soon as they opened but was told those are all booked in advance.

Everything was exactly as listed. It was a very comfortable stay. It is in the middle of everything and the beach is a short walk. The building was very quiet and the pool didn't ever infringe on our privacy. We would love to stay again, and will.

Great location in Destin

We enjoyed our stay at the Terrace Pelican Beach, the location is great, access to all of the hot spots was very convenient. The pool area is kept very clean. If you stay at the Teace you will have access to the resort pools as well, and the private beach. If you want a gulf front view I would recommend staying at the resort but the Terrace Condo was very nice. No complaints.

Youth World Series Trip

This place was awesome and spacious! Great big Balcony over looking the pool! I was able to let my son walk to the pool with his friends and I could look down and talk to them. Jim was an amazing host and talked me through everything the day before! It was 5 mins from the ball park which was a plus and we walked across the street to big Kahuna! This room was everything we needed and more! We will definitely be back!
