La propiedad está a pocos pasos de la playa y cuenta con impresionantes vistas al agua sin obstáculos desde casi todas las habitaciones. Beautiful views from this lovely beach cottage! Super clean with all the amenities of home. We were visiting with family for Thanksgiving and cooked our traditional meal in the well supplied kitchen. Great place for relaxing and enjoying the natural surroundings!

This was our first time staying in this area and we loved it! The location of the house right on the beach was so nice and convenient with great views. Watching the sunrise over the water was definitely a highlight. The house was one of the cleanest we've ever stayed at. Jess and Tom were great and had very timely communication both before and after. They were so accommodating and it was so very much appreciated. They were great hosts! Highly recommend!

It was a great off season beach front find for family (grandparents, parents and two kiddos under the age of 5). The house was really nice - ease of access to/from the beach. Close to Lewes for fishing charters, dinner and some King’s ice cream. Beautiful sunrises. We always love a good Broadkill Beach visit.

Perfect Beach Spot

House was amazing. We had so much fun. The biting flies were a bit annoying on the beach, but we had the whole beach to ourselves. Grill is Charcoal but worked perfect for us. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was the perfect end to each day.

Fantastic Stay

We had an all girls cousin extended weekend at Broadkill Beach. The house was absolutely lovely and very comfortable, and we really enjoyed the views of the ocean and falling asleep every night to the sound of the waves. The neighborhood was very friendly as well. We would definitely rent the house again.

A little gem on the beach

We enjoyed our stay in Broadkill Beach as a weekend getaway while participating in the annual Dogfish Dash race. Perfect location and cutely decorated. Loved the beach atmosphere and friendly people out and about on a beautiful September day.

Perfect getaway Memorial Day weekend for my hubs and I! I love the beach, but not the hub bub. This was just what I like. Beautiful cedar shake sided beach cottage with everything you need for a relaxing vacay. Interior has been renovated with care with awesome local art work. Beach umbrella, beach chairs, outdoor patio all included. We want to come back with our kiddos and grands!

Relaxing Getaway

My husband, 4-year old and I met my sister in law's family (2 kids- 4 and 6) at this lovely beach house to stay for the week. The house had everything we needed- it was so nice to just bring our clothes and have everything else already there! And being just steps away from the beach was luxuriously convenient. The only thing that I wish I would have known is that the biting flies can be brutal and can keep you inside. I was disappointed there wasn't an indoor-outdoor space like a screened-in porch, and the windows in the living room that faces the ocean don't work (and the furniture layout is oriented toward the TV, rather than out toward the beautiful view!). So we spent a lot more time than expected in the air conditioned house than in the ocean breeze.

Excellent beach front property

We loved this home! It had everything we needed (towels, sheets, fully stocked kitchen with all the utensils, dishes, pots and pans, storage containers etc.), and it was very clean. The beds, pillows and couches were comfy. Jess and Tom were quick to respond to our needs and questions from the beginning. The area was very residential, so the beach was never crowded. Access to the beach was just steps away which made it nice when carrying all our gear. There are not any restaurants nearby, but many down the road into Lewes Rehoboth and Dewy if you don't want to cook. One of the bathrooms is actually separate from the house but was still a full bathroom, clean and handy for when we were sitting outside. We will definitely keep this property in mind when we are booking our next girls' week. We would definitely recommend this home for your vacation.

Broadkill perfection...

We had a wonderful weeklong stay at this property, the location is amazing and it has such a beach cottage feel, we loved it! It was easy to get to, the property owners were available to quickly answer any questions and it was a short drive from our visits to downtown Lewes and Milton and the boardwalk at Rehoboth. Loved that we could be on the beach in seconds and had amazing views from the sunroom and bedrooms. We will definitely be back!

A+ weekend away

The house and property is great, clean, well maintained and responsive hosts! The following is not a knock against the property whatsoever, just a FYI for future guests. There is no dishwasher. Not that they claim to have one but I overlooked it in the listing. If you prefer to cook, just know you’ll be hand washing everything. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, knives, plates, etc. and all are in good condition. If you’re renting in off season, there are limited food options nearby, even in food delivery apps. Despite what Google says, the nearby store/deli is only open for the summer season so not an option for off season renters. It will be great for any summer season rentals as it’s an easy walk down the street. Again, these comments aren’t meant to negatively reflect on the property, just things I would’ve wanted to know ahead of time so hoping it helps a future renter! Thanks for a great stay, Jess and Tom!

Wonderful house and location

Three friends and I just stayed at the beach house and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The house was wonderful - comfortable and cozy, while still providing more than adequate rooms/nooks for each of us to have our space. Everything was very clean and beautifully decorated, and the kitchen and bathrooms were well-equipped for our needs. The owners responded quickly and helpfully to the few questions we had. As wonderful as the house is, the location was even better! We were steps to the beach, with perfect sunrise viewing from just outside the back door. We absolutely recommend this property and hope to be back soon!

Excellent Beachfront Home

My two sisters and I stayed at the home for one week September 25, 2021 through October 2, 2021 - it was the perfect sister get away; we slept to the sound of ocean/bay waves. We spoke to the owners to get some additional information on the home; call backs were timely and they are very helpful and a joy to speak with. The home was very clean and we wished the vacation was two weeks rather than one. The neighborhood was very quiet and beach access was great as the property is beachfront. We all had a great time!

Great Property, Great Location, Great Owners!

We very much enjoyed our stay and the house was perfect for us. It is beautifully decorated, completely redone/modern, clean (with the exception of the oven and the blinds in the kitchen which could use a thorough cleaning, but no biggie), well stocked with bath towels and basic supplies, with a great layout and a game room/extra living area stocked with games and a TV, and in a great location adjacent to the amazing Primehook Wildlife Refuge with all its wonderful trails. Although a winter storm knocked out the direct beach access path (something we were not aware of from the listing on VRBO) , it is easy enough to get onto the beach and the fact that the house is beachfront is terrific so it didn’t create any issue for us at all. Just as an FYI for those who may be unfamiliar with the Broadkill community/area community where the house is located: it is a rather rustic area/community and there are quite a few houses and lots that are in rather run down/overgrown condition and/or under repair. In fact, we were not thrilled to find a GIANT bright green construction dumpster, filled to well past the top with old patio furniture, bed pillows, metal, wood, other furniture and construction debris, in between the front of the house and the house across the street - literally within 6-8 ft of the front door. It was an unfortunate eyesore and made pulling in and out of the driveway with an SUV, with a 3 bike rack on the back, a bit of a challenge. Not the owners fault and they likely had no idea it was even there. It was there until the evening before we left and, thankfully happened to removed while we were not at the house so we avoided the noise and disruption of the removal and came back from being out to find it gone. Again, not the owners fault and likely not something that will happen again. The owners were absolutely wonderful to deal with, very thoughtful and kind, and provided excellent and timely communication. The gift of note cards printed with a picture of Broadkill Store that we found waiting for us in the table was a lovely gesture, thank you! We would absolutely recommend this house to anyone looking for a beautifully decorated, clean, and completely updated house in a scenic, convenient and quiet location. We hope to return again in the future. Thank you, Jess and Tom!

Perfect birthday getaway

Our son wanted to celebrate his 5th birthday at the beach this year. We haven't been anywhere in the last 15 months because of the pandemic, so this was a much needed vacation. This was our first time at Broadkill beach, and it was the perfect location. We basically had the whole beach to ourselves. The house was so beautifully furnished and decorated. It was clean, comfortable, and our son liked it so much that he was ready to move in, as he kept referring to our place back home as "the old house." Jess and Tom were quick to respond to all of our questions and a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend this property and look forward to booking again some day.
