Gainesville house

I like the house beds are very cozy.There is limited seating so hard to relax. Adding another couch or loveseat would certainly help. The kitchen needs a set of silverware and a regular coffee maker. Most people don't use a k cup.

Did not get to stay!

We arrived late with two kids after a wedding rehearsal party. There was a safety lock on the door and I was unable to get in. After talking with the owner he wanted to call housekeeping and see if they could come out as he figured they left it this way. It was late and I needed to put my kids to bed so I asked for my money back and went to a hotel. Honestly I think someone was in the home without permission as all the lights were on and it was safety locked from the inside. I’m betting someone knew a code and figured since we were so late no one was coming. That’s just my theory. This was not the fault of the owner of course but it made me Leary of using this company in the future.

Safety concerns

We decided to leave the property and stay in a hotel. I would hope VRBO would vet properties well. We noticed peeling paint, trash in close neighbors yard and mailbox in disrepair (open) as we pulled up. Only one of three bulbs working in the only bathroom, broken fan in guest room etc. Small things made us question safety and cleanliness of property. At best, advertise this as a men's/dogs cabin.

Over all it was decent place to stay. It is a lake house, little buggy for me. Beds are comfortable, water was hot.

Fishing Trip

Parking very difficult for full size bass boat, only room for one at best. Property very clean. TV system very difficult, ROKU TV sucks. No live TV option essentially. Property description and check in info needs improving. Took two days to even get TV to work at all. Kitchen needs few more basics added. Great water pressure and hot water. Shower was great. Beds very good. Would stay again assuming could get rid of first two days of hassell.

Quiet and ready for guest

A great place to stay. There's nothing negative about this place. And as strange as it may sound the beds were so comfortable they were hard to get out of. Definitely will book another stay when in the area.

Air co ditioning wasn't working when we arrived. It was almost 90 degrees at 7pm. Trash was left outside. Smelled bad. Website was down so i couldn't get a hold of anyone. Left after an hour but lost all my monet. No refund. Shady neighborhood. Felt unsafe for my family. Not the way to spend a vacation.

Decent place

Overall was a pleasant experience. I’m glad we brought our camping kitchen gear, as the kitchen was low on forks. We had to buy extra toilet paper, as we were only supplied a roll and a half (4 restroom users, 3 being female). Extra towels for bathroom and kitchen would have been good to have. Also a dish drying rack would be helpful since dishes have to be hand washed. Some guidance on the TVs would have been helpful, as they are Roku TVs and you have to download the app to use as a remote. The bathroom door is starting to fall off the hinges, so took extra care to be able to close. But, we just needed a place where we could sleep, shower, and make some meals, and this worked.

Quick place to stay

We booked this last minute and the process was easy. It was clean and close to the area we needed to be near! Good deal all the way around.

No communication

I booked this stay 3 weeks prior to the date. This was for a high school fishing tournament. Because of hurricane Ian, the tournament was rescheduled. I contacted the owner multiple times to reschedule. No reply. Next day I made the request through the app with no reply. Next day I left a voicemail with no reply. The owner had no problem replying when I had questions prior to booking but not after I booked. I was forced to dispute with my credit card to get resolution. Do not stay with this owner.

Bass Tournament Stay

The actual house was perfect for our needs. The location was close enough for all fishing locations, fuel and food needs. Parking for our boats was extremely difficult. Was also a busted water line which caused problems, but not something the owner could foresee. The problem was quickly assessed and repaired.

Terrible Thanksgiving

The whole experience was dismal . This trip was a Thanksgiving getaway with my family. 2 adults and 3 kids 2 dogs. After an 11 hour drive, I get out of my truck head to the yard and I slipped in old dog poop. Once inside it is nice, but not enough seating the pictures online are not accurate of the living-room. Once up Thanksgiving morning we get ready for showers only we can’t all get one because there is only 1 towel for 5 of us. O also 2 face towels. I messaged the owner Cory he took about 2 hours to respond mind you it was Thanksgiving day BUT HE KNEW WE WERE COMING. I reached out to VRBO customer service with pictures of EVERYTHING so he could not dispute the facts ( I took video too). At this point I am so upset, I start cooking and no oven mitt !!! So its a wet towel or my clean clothes to take items out of the oven!. It was a truly terrible experience. I had to buy cleaning solution myself and trash bags as there was only 1 for the 5 day stay. The owner did eventually get his “cleaning staff to bring towels they handed me 2 lol, and a new sponge for the dishes, the one in the home had mold and was old as hell. I did demand at least 5 more bath towels , which he gave me. Why do we paying for cleaning service? They didn’t clean the kitchen drawers, the outside of the fridge was so nasty, the floor beside the stove super gross and drawer to the oven had caked on grease. I cleaned them myself with product I bought because none was available in the home. The bathroom was gross too. The “yard” for the kids & dogs to play in was a total mess. Looked like a 4x4 drove through it leaving mud and ruts, so neither the kids or dogs couldn’t play outside. Cory the owner/manager barely apologized, he did blame, other guest for “stealing”. We didn’t want excuses why things weren’t stocked, or insinuations, just some, ‘what can we do for you’ concern. Not a way to do business. I have stayed at many vacation rentals even primitive camp that had more to offer than this place. O and the lady that left a review about the smoke alarms not being in the rooms and the pictures showing the furniture she was correct ,the smoke alarms in the bedrooms are missing and only 1 couch to seat 3. The kitchen table chair is broken so be careful as is could break. For a 1 day night stay would have been ok but I know for sure we will not be back.

Decent Stay

We had a few minor issues with dog hair all over the couch, broken coffee maker and missing some key details but overall stay was decent. The beds are by far the most amazing part of this stay and very comfortable for a wonderful nights sleep. Just enough space for me and my small family much more would be crowded. This rental was hands down 1,000 times better staying in a hotel. We would stay again and recommend a stay if you aren't looking for next to the lake (which did not impact our stay we weren't here for the lake) and you are bringing most necessities.

Would stay again

The listing is as stated. Very clean with comfortable beds. Cory was very easy to communicate with and accommodated us in any changes we had. Love the area and felt very safe in this listing.. There is a Bamboo Forrest surrounding 2 sides of the property which is cool to see since we are from the north. If you're staying more than a few days I would bring extra toilet paper, towels, bedding etc. As the property is minimally supplied and doesn't have a washer or dryer accessible. Also, there is really only a broom, hand soap & dish soap for cleaning supplies so if you like to disinfect things yourself or want to clean the table after eating, bring your clorox wipes with you. Overall, we are very pleased with our stay and would stay again!

Dissatisfied

This property was not what we expected due to inaccurate information on VRBO. There is no water view. The unit was not furnished the way it showed, only sofa in living room. Could not fit four, let alone 7 people on it. The bath tub needs to be replaced. And the smoke alarms were missing from both bedrooms.
