Lovely Long Weekend At the Farmhouse

We had a lovely time at K’s Divine Farmhouse. The grounds were great for the kiddies and we found a path that led to a beautiful clearing. The home itself is very spacious, and we appreciated the many different rooms to hang out in.

Family Time

The host was very quick to respond to our questions and needs. The beds were very comfy. Some nights were very hot with no A/C but we managed fine.

Relaxing getaway.

Adi is such a great host !! Very attentive and responsive. Beautiful house and farm with so much space. My group had a lovely time and it was a perfect ending to summer 2021. House was very clean. Very comfortable beds and spacious bedrooms. Wifi was hi speed. Very close to many restaurants and falls. Next to a premium golf course with breathtaking view of Niagara region. Lots of parking space. We will definitely be returning in the future for more group trips!!!

Excellent Location, Large Property, Plenty of Space

We stayed at the property for Canada Day 2020. The location is superb and can't be beat - 30 minutes from lake Erie, 25 from Niagara Falls, you are right in the middle. Large grounds, far away neighbors, despite the fact that you are in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Very large, fully renovated house. there is no centralized AC (gets hot in hot weather), but there are fans in each bedroom for the air flow. BBQ facilities would be nice to add to the house/grounds, otherwise it was spotless from all angles.

very nice property

Very clean property, nice space, new clean towels and linens Nice location to hike in Niagara area and provincial park Description is not accurate, we imagined isolated farm house but now it is in newly developed area (not isolated) Photos of big family room on main floor and big dining room with fireplace aren't accurate. Family room is used as dining room with table that can fit only 6 people (it was not problem for us we had 4 people). Big dining room is empty and cannot be used in winter (too cold). Owner is very polite and explained in advance all potential problems, we were informed the house is run on a septic system. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

SK Divine farm house

This farm house was really nice and rustic. We got to experience in a century old home with many upgrades. So it gave a feel of old yet comfortably new. Another great thing was that it rained every day so it cooled off a bit since there is no A/c. Thank you for your kind gesture of condolence card since my grandma had passed away and my small family needed to be together for a happy getaway. That was very sweet and comforting that you went the extra mile. I would highly recommend this farmhouse specially if you have a big family because there is a lot of space/ rooms and very clean. All linens and towels were very clean and hotel quality. Once again thank you for providing our family with a reason to get away from busy life and enjoy togetherness.

Our Stay at the Pelham Home

My family and I stayed at this home to celebrate my mother's birthday. Overall, we had a wonderful time and the hosts were very accomodating, they attended to all our needs very promptly making our experience at their home amazing. The home is well equipped and clean. We had some trouble with the kitchen sink because the water did go down the drain really slowly, we were informed the house is run on a septic system but the water takes a long time to go down the drain. Here is some constructive feedback to further improve this lovely home. One of the stoves was not working too well so it was kind of difficult to cook, and a kitchen exhaust fan is needed. We were unable to bbq as planned because the bbq machine was not cleaned properly. However, we did not let any of these issues affect our stay at the home, otherwise, everything was lovely and we all had a great time.

In need of investments

Overall not a good experience. We were 5 golf players in this house for 5 nights. On the positive, all large bedrooms with new and very comfy sleeping mattress & blankets. On the negative, I have received a call from the owner a few hours before getting in. One of the 2 toilet seats was broken and they were not able to repair / change it during our stay (5 days). Moreover, they told me to never put food in the kitchen sink. The reason is obvious, it is in need of some plumber repair because each and every time we cleaned our dishes, in the end we had to pump the blocked water in the kitchen sink. Another opportunity for improvement are windows & blinds. Most of their bedroom blinds can not stay open, same for most of their woindows. Their is no mechanism to keep windows open, you can open them and put a piece of wood that you bring from your home (after reading my review ...). The kitchen as basic appliances, a fridge with a missing shelf, a stove in need to be replace, no wine bottle opener, etc. For a couple of thousands of $ for a 5 nights rental, my friends were laughing at me. We have been in USA for more than 10 golf trips and we had home rentals most the time : "Never had such poor housing conditions". This place is in need for some major investments / improvements.

A bit disappointed

Please review “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”, which is quite accurate and representative of our stay. Many of the issues listed in that review remain. The owners did install two air conditioners, however most windows remain inoperable. If you are visiting during the summer months, bring extra fans with you. Also, don’t forget to bring extra towels if you are a big group. The house has beautiful bones but is in need of a lot of TLC. The owners are quite responsive and did take care of some of the issues outdoors, such as removing the abundance of weeds, grass cutting, buying a new BBQ and cleaning the firepit, which we were all very grateful for. The neighbourhood is beautiful but not secluded. The house is located in a new development surrounded by new homes. Although we were disappointed in the state of the home, the owners did attend to the items that could be fixed immediately.

Spacious

I appreciated the host making themself available as needed. Beautiful neighborhood to walk in, plenty of space for our family. Cleaners missed some things in the kitchen but the owner responded to our concerns and this will have been rectified for the next guests. No laundry available onsite (thought it worth a mention because we thought we would have access based on the floor plan). We noticed a new BBQ outside - didn’t get a chance to use it with so many restaurants nearby. :-). Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The Good, The Bad and the Ugly

THE GOOD - Owner very responsive. Inside of the house is clean, spacious and comfortable. Beds are comfortable with nice bedding. The "library" has a single bed but just a sheet & pillow provided. Top quality hand soaps, shampoo/conditioner & bath towels. Only 1 hand towel per bathroom and no face cloths (so bring your own). Well stocked kitchen (although no lids for the pots). Only 1 dish towel and no dish cloths (bring your own). The upstairs kitchen is not functional (no fridge, stove, etc.). Good water pressure/lots of hot water. New picnic table and barbecue. Large yard with a fire pit. Inside furniture is comfortable, relatively new and functional. Clean/functional crib & high chair provided. Overall, indoors was great and suited our group of 10. THE BAD - The outside has fallen into disrepair. Had we known, we WOULD NOT have booked. We sent pictures to the owner immediately upon arrival & I received a call right away (apparently he wasn't aware of the state of things). One of the front steps is broken and I almost feel down the stairs (this should have been repaired immediately for safety reasons). The glass in 4 windows is broken with mold/mildew buildup. The property is covered in weeds, many 7 feet tall. I was advised someone would come on Monday to do the yard work. It wasn't done because the worker said he would need to return with a larger tractor and a bin for the weeds because it was so bad. My husband cleared back 4 feet of weeds by the patio so that we could open the dining room windows and to reduce the bugs near the patio. The eaves trough at the front has fallen off & is shoved under the hedge. The threshold at the dining room is not fastened to the floor, resulting in a few falls this week. Latch on front door is broken and door is tied shut with a rotted shoe string. THE UGLY - many light bulbs missing. There's a 3" space at the bottom of the side door (watch out for bugs & critchers). There's a broken chair thrown outside the back of the house with weeds growing all around. A vine has grown over one of the chairs on the front porch. Several windows still have winter storms instead of screens so we couldn't open them for fresh air. While I appreciate that the owner relies upon inspections & maintenance by the property manager, it doesn't change our concerns or experience. I have had open dialogue with the owner - he has thanked me for letting him know and advised it will be addressed this weekend.
