Beautiful waterfront rustic cottage

Beautiful waterfront rustic cottage, overlooking Paudash Lake near Bancroft. Sleeps 6-8, 2 bedrooms, sunroom and full Bunkie.
Ensuite bathroom has tub and shower, small two piece bathroom in middle of cottage as well as new outhouse. Large dock and swimming area, canoe available. Boat launch and fishing boats available to rent at nearby marina.

The beauty of this cottage is that it is rustic and comfortable. Large deck and BBQ for entertaining. The fire pit overlooks the lake and is close to the cottage. Variety of board games, use of guitar and stereo. Two bedrooms have queen size beds. Sunroom has two pull out sofas and Bunkie has two queen size beds as well as two single beds, fans in each room. Kitchen is well equipped with microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, blender and accessories. This is a dog friendly cottage, however we prefer them not to be on the furniture. This cottage is may not be suitable for people with mobility issues or very young children due to stone stairs and some uneven terrain.

Classic Cottage Stay

We had a lovely relaxing time at the Cox cottage. Guests should be ready for a rustic cottage with lots of classic decor, a private lakeside spot with a front deck that has a beautiful view of the lake where you can while away your time. The owners were quick to respond to any questions and check in check out was easy. Thanks for a great stay!

Amazing place

We did the best choice in booking this cottage! Worth to drive for. Beautiful water view. Everything you’re looking for nature feeling is in this cottage. A place to get away from city living. Highly recommended. We had an amazing time, fun, laughters, kayaking, swimming and fishing. We will definitely come back here again... 👍👍👍

Magical!

My family has wonderful memories of our time together up at this cottage. It is perfect for us! The spacious dock, fire pit area and the deck - all with the incredible view! Thank you very much...once again! We hope to be back again next year. :)

A welcoming cottage with breathtaking views of the quiet lake

For the past 8 years we’ve rented a different lakeside cottage in various spots all over Ontario for the last week of summer. This is the first time when we’ve enjoyed ourselves so much we didn’t want to leave. The cottage is clean, well-appointed and so homey and welcoming. It’s comfort is matched by the beautiful view and easy access to Paudash Lake. We will most definitely be returning soon!

Perfection from beginning to end

The tears at the end should say it all. We we're sad to leave. This place was comfortable, convenient, cozy and beautiful. Nathalie was great to communicate with. Sometimes we find it takes a few hours to settle into a place but we felt right at home the second we got there.

Next year we book a longer stay!

I don't know where to start with how amazing this place was... is it the huge stone landing with the fire pit? the private dock? the peaceful Lake? the incredible view? the overall aesthetic in design of the interiors? the clubhouse style bunkie? The guitar and cajón? the selection of games? the super comfortable firm matress? the ensuite bathroom?... Pretty sure we found the place we want to book every year. Truly, an incredible experience. thank you Nathalie, for being such a wonderful host!

Stunning view from charming family cottage

This is a real family cottage, so much character everywhere. Generously stocked and extremely comfortable. The highlight is the deck ( or two levels of deck) that have a jaw dropping view of paudash lake. A tiny island in foreground offsets the enchanting picture. Easy lake to paddle, the provided canoe and kayaks used every day. Head all the way to right and a half an hour paddle will bring you to a beautiful canyon. The stone work throughout the property is old world wonderful. Stairs and retaining walls remind of a medieval village. It could be a movie set . The only negative thing about this cottage is having to leave. (The bunkie is super bonus! On a hot night we kicked the kids out and enjoyed the AC! The view from bunkie is amazing!)

Year Two in the Books

Another wonderful stay at this welcoming, comfortable, and homey cottage. We made good use of the canoe and kayaks, and our kids had a blast sleeping in the bunkie. There is so much outdoor space to enjoy and enabled us to either all be together, or spread out and relax solo. Hope to be back again!

Beautiful view!

Truly wonderful. Easy communication with the owner. The outdoor spaces had been updated and the deck and fire pit area were beautiful. Inside the cottage was quant, with a rustic charm, but very clean, and a comfortable living space. We’ll be back!

Amazing Lakeside Cottage

Fabulous location overlooking Paudash Lake with an awesome deck, firepit area and lakeside dock. Quiet and private, rustic and comfortable with all the amenities you could ever ask for. The hosts were a pleasure to deal with and look forward to returning.

Family chill week

This was our second visit to the Cardiff cottage. We love the out door spaces, proximity to tennis and biking routes, and the over all feel of the cottage. Great place to chill with family and friends.

Relaxing getaway

Fabulous!!

Nathalie and David’s property is the definition of Cottage!! It’s rustic, comfy, the water is perfect for swimming and fishing, the fireplace area has the most amazing lookout, the terrace has plenty of space for family meals and there’s lots of space for rainy day activities inside. Thank you very much - it was the perfect place to be together. So many happy memories made!

Absolutely Fantastic Stay, A Truly Memorable Experience

We had an amazing one-week stay stay at Nathalie and David's cottage. As other reviewers have expressed the pictures of the land and view do not at all express just how beautiful it is here. From the landscaping and firepit, to the stone walk way up to the bunkhouse, to the steps leading down to the dock - the outdoor space is breathtaking and allowed us to have a truly relaxing Canadian cottage country experience. Inside was also everything we could have hoped for. Lots of things for the kids to discover (we did the clue puzzle - which I highly recommend for a rainy day!), and plenty of room for all of us rain or shine. This cottage has obviously been well loved and well maintained by the Cox family and we feel lucky to have called it our home away from home for a week. Would love to be back! Thank you again!

Comfortable and clean

The property had everything required to have a perfect weekend getaway. The view from the fire-pit is phenomenal! The cottage was clean and the kitchen had all the essentials. Nathalie and David were wonderful hosts and very accommodating.

Perfect summer getaway

Four of us had a wonderful stay at this property. The outdoor living space is perfect! The indoor space is also just what we like in a cottage....it's a cottage:) We rode our bikes along the Monck Rd to the Kawartha dairy store on the highway...well worth every hill we climbed. Will consider visiting again next year! Thank you for opening up your cottage to guests!
