Lovely home steps to downtown Bancroft. Lots of space and beautiful backyard overlooking the river. Communication with our host was immediate and helpful. Some road noise during the day due to traffic in/out of town especially with windows open but at night barely any noise. Basically parked the car for the 4 days and walked everywhere. Bancroft has everything you may need as well as some interesting stores to buy tchotchkes and vintage stuff.

Wonderful space to relax in! The host is lovely and very responsive. One thing to note is the home is next to a fairly busy road in case you have little kids or dogs. Would recommend.

Had a few issues with cleanliness that we dealt with ourselves.The homeless encampment complete with very loud crack addicts right next door was not a welcome surprise, especially when they tend to sleep all day and argue/fight all night.

Long weekend get away

Property very clean , very well stocked house , comfortable beds … everything you need for your stay just bring clothes and food … very close to ATV trail right across road … owner is very responsive to messages … enjoyed our stay will definitely recommend this property

Great location!

We stayed 5 nights for a family wedding with 7 adults. There was plenty of room for everyone. We loved the deck with BBQ and the river views were beautiful. The location was so great and within walking distance to the downtown. Shweta was an excellent host and prompt in communication with us for any needs we had. We highly recommend this property.

Wonderful place right on the York River

We had a great time. Plenty of soices, herbs and other necessities. My only suggestion is to have a knife sharpener available and include facecloths. Other than that we had everything we beeded.

Everything you need

very spacious house, filled with nearly any supplies needed for your stay. hot tub and property was very enjoyable. the relaxing sound of the creek in the backyard took your focus away from the main road. homeless recommend next door was no trouble, plus hidden by a dividing

Spacious

Older home in reasonably good repair, except the back deck and a lot of squeaky doors. Lots of room and well-equipped. Large creek at the edge of the back yard which is very scenic and possibly a kayak launch but best to check first. Hot tub under the stars is lovely.

Host was very responsive. Peaceful location by the river. Kids had a blast fishing. Close to shops and grocery stores. Pet friendly. Huge living room overlooking a beautiful view. Beautifully decorated. Lucky we found a place that caters for families with enough bedrooms. Only one suggestion. A bigger toaster Bancroft is great for rock hounds. We came for the Annual Gemboree. 4 days of gems, and minerals and lots of places to get rocks like the Sodalite place. Thanks again, even the weather was amazing
