Amazing Property and great stay

Couldn’t have been a better stay. The property is one of a kind and perfect for our group; one of us surfed while the rest watched and ate breakfast from the house. Great memories were made and we couldn’t recommend the experience enough.

Outstanding

We had a family reunion and loved the property and location. The house is very well equipped for a large party who love to cook amd spend time together. Lots of activities near by - fishing, spa, hiking.

Most Amazing Property

Our family, 12 people ages 6 months though 68, spent an incredible 8 days at the Sea Lion Estate. The pictures do not do this property justice. Amazing ocean views from every window, it is a peaceful quiet place. We had the absolute perfect family get away, none of us wanted to leave. Beach is amazing to walk along, we watched bald eagles fly by every day, watched seals in the ocean and bunnies and deer on the lawn. House is so comfortable and homey for families, each bedroom had their own bathroom, kitchen is well appointed with any pot, pan, or dish you would need. We have been staying at VRBO properties for years...this one was magical.

Family vacation

Our family vacation to Sooke featured a hike to Mystic Beach and a morning swim at the potholes. Sea Lion Estate tied it all together in a fabulous bow - it is an amazing property! The view, the privacy, the kitchen and harvest table, the bedrooms, the hot tub…I could go on. I’ll simply say we hope to come back someday.

Amazing Getaway

The house is very tastefully done. It is warm, cozy, both classy and casual, impeccably maintained, top notch customer service, beautiful and peaceful location, and a very caring owner. The family is already planning our return next year. You must try it!!!!!

It was a lovely home. Initially, we were locked out of the area where the gym, the pool table, and the big washers were. When we had trouble with the tiny upstairs washer, they opened the area with the big ones. It made a huge difference in our comfort. This is the first home in the 8 that we have rented through VRBO that didn't have directions available on how to use the various equipment in the kitchen and throughout. It would have really helped as this house had some unusual fixtures in it.

A modern palace by the sea

This large well-appointed home gave our extended family of 10 adults and 5 young children plenty of space to be together and to find some space apart. We loved walking down to the beach, picking blackberries, enjoying all our fine cooking, throwing frisbees on the large lawn, and paddle boarding up the little river. I wish they'd have provided a dish drainer (in addition to the 2 dishwashers!), but honestly, that might be my only complaint!

Wonderful family Christmas experience

Our 4 night stay at Sea Lion Estate was a wonderful experience for our family’s Christmas get together. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes and cutlery for many more people than 16, numerous kitchen tools and cooking pots/pans, and many small appliances. We did find the oven a bit small for our 17 lb. turkey but we managed. The children enjoyed the grounds -running around on the grass in front and exploring the beach. They also liked their own hang-out room, the TV/games room below the loft bedroom. The hot tub was well used and the group of sea lions that visited each day was a bonus. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, plus there’s an extra bathroom just off the pantry. Jamie, the host, was very easy to communicate with.

The beautiful house was clean with everything you would need. The view, the ocean, the sea lions and eagles that visited every day was icing on the cake. You will not be disappointed.

Sea Lion Estates with Property Manager Jamie gets a 10/10!!

Beyond expectations! Wonderful spacious luxury home with all the amenities you expect and more. Perfect for families and groups. So peaceful even though we had a houseful. Everyone slept well in the comfy beds and sea breezes! Highly recommend! Thank you Jamie you were awesome to work with! Love the home and decor, fabulous! Adeen and family! :0)

Amazing!

We had a fantastic time as a family here. We had our wedding on our first full day there and Jamie was amazing to work with and help coordinate all of the set up. I would visit this place time and time again. It takes your breath away the moment you get there. Thank you again for everything, this is a fantastic getaway!

Wonderful! Beautiful! Don’t want to leave!

We are a group of 10 adult family and friends. This home had a bedroom and separate bathroom for each couple. We cooked a full turkey dinner one night and a full Mexican another night. Lots of happy hours and games and of course many laughs. We experienced sun and storm. The owners were so nice to email and text back and forth! Can’t wait to come again!

Worth it! 5 Star Property with a 5 Star Property Manager

The property is absolutely breathtaking. The photos do not do the property justice with how beautiful it truly is in person. We were there for a huge milestone birthday celebration for my in-laws, so there was three couples and two children (age 4 and 10 months). The place was so big that we all felt like we could have our own space and not feel like we were on top of each other. We have stayed together as a family at homes in other parts of Canada but this was by far our best stay. Absolutely everything on this property was well thought out such as the height of the tv in the rooms. It was fully stocked with only the best appliances, cleaning supplies, towels, and linens; and everything was labelled. The property manager, Jamie, was super helpful and was quick to respond if we had any question whatsoever. I can't recommend this property enough.

The setting and house was great. However, the kitchen cooking supplies were dirty, baking pans etc.

Great times with family. Kitchen cooking pans and pots need replacing. They had baked on stains. Beach and setting was gorgeous.
