Great host, cozy stay!

Even though the neighborhood appeared old and rundown, the host was fantastic and accommodating! He did everything he could to make our stay satisfactory.

Close to the highway

Location was conveniently located near highway, making it quick to head out. The location allowed you to experience city life with new homes and some abandoned homes near by.

Wonderful stay when we needed it.

We stayed here due to being evacuated during a hurricane. This property was great for us. It was located in a nice neighborhood with a park directly across the street. Close to Ybor city. It had all the amenities we needed, a nice backyard and was a comfortable place to stay. We would gladly stay there again if/when we need a place.

Ybor City House

The owner was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. There is a great breakfast place within walking distance as well as a small neighborhood convenience store. The surrounding neighborhood is middle class and quiet at night.

Urban sanctuary

We enjoyed our stay at this property. We were in the area looking for a place for our daughter to relocate and this gave us the perfect central location. The property was clean, well appointed and was comfortable. The neighborhood is definitely more urban with a park across the street. Neighborhood seemed safe, we sat on the porch each night and morning and left our car parked right out front.

Great Stay

Had a wonderful stay! Rental was close to where we wanted to be. House was just great! When I had a question it was answered promptly. The only detractors was very poor water pressure in main shower. It might have been because the back yard was being watered at the time (6 - 8) I needed to shower. The roosters the neighbors have are quite good at letting you know it's time to get your day going. Thanks for your hospitality. Will consider staying again if we get back to that area.

Not A Good Experience

While the property manager was communicative and the property was ok (a little worn down), community pool also closed until August 2024 so shouldn't have been advertised. The major issue was safety. The property was attempted to be broken into during our stay which resulted in leaving the property 3 nights earlier to find other accommodations.

Not too bad

The property was spacious and pretty on the inside. Definitely looked like the photos. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows, & there was everything you could need. Utensils, extra toothbrushes, toothpaste, extra bedding & towels. All great. The location was in close proximity to a lot of fun things so the advertising was on point for that. The cons: the dishes and toilet seats were dirty, the main folded table in the kitchen was sticky and the faucet in the tub shower was loose. The toilet seat in the guest bathroom was missing a screw so it fell apart when my husband sat on it. The water pressure in both showers were terrible (too low). Also, the dresser was filled so there was nowhere to put our clothes. The second bedroom served as a closet. We also had to use a little table from the living room as a second nightstand.

Great place!

This is an awesome place to stay in Tampa. Being so close to all of the shops/restaurants/bars in Ybor City is very convenient! Also really easy to get downtown and to/from the airport (10-15 minutes for both). The owner, Ernest, is great. He allowed us to check in early when our flight got in early and sent us about a dozen recommendations for things to do in the area. We checked out 3 or 4 and all were a lot of fun. 10/10!

Property was nice and air conditioned. Close to many local shops and community pools. Host is pleasant, wasn't available right away due to personal reasons. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Host mentioned a maid who cleans in between rentals,of note there was evidence of mice droppings and left over items from previous renters giving the idea that property isn't cleaned thoroughly after each rental. Examples: mask in drawer,water bottle under bed and empty bag of chips in main room closet. I did mention this to host who assured me it would be looked in to.

Plenty of Room for a Great Deal

This property was a great value for staying so close to Ybor City and as a gateway to Tampa, Clearwater, and St. Pete. The rental gave our party plenty of added room and amenities for the prices of a hotel room. We found the accommodation to be very clean and functional with tasteful decor. Our host, Ernest, was very attentive. He contacted us before our arrival, during our stay, and at check out. He is a gem. One note about previous reviews citing the rental was in a questionable neighborhood. I did not find that to be the case once I explored the area. Ybor City is a redevelopment area and there is an authenticity staying with people who have been in the area as established residents. I also believe you have to accept that you are staying in someone's vacation home. This is not a hotel. As such, you sacrifice some of the cookie-cutter sterility for character. If your goal is to be close to Ybor City, consider this rental in your planning.

Awesome place to explore Ybor

Honestly is a 5 minute walk to Ybor. I stayed with a few guy Friends, was a perfect place. Just one note, the rooster..:which most other people have commented on. The owner is awesome, no complaints.

Nice place, walking to 7th street restaurants

The place was nice and had everything we need, however, it was not in the safest place. Lots of people roaming, barking dogs, stray cats, and cawing chickens at 4am.

The perfect location if you’re planning on exploring Tampa

My family and I had a great time in Ybor City, Tampa. The rental property was in the perfect location considering we spent the entire week exploring the different activities Tampa has to offer. I will definitely look into renting this place again on our next trip to Tampa Bay.

This place is beautiful! The host was so friendly and helpful not just with the house but places to visit in the area as well. The home is beautifully decorated and comfortable. It had everything we needed to relax and unwind as a family with small children. The back yard has a cloth gazebo with table and chairs that was great too. We would love to stay there again someday!

Secret Gem

This is a newly remodeled two bedroom, two bathroom home. The finishings, decor, material and workmanship are all top notch. I had my infant Son with me and asked if there was a slow cooker. Not only was a digital, higher end slow cooker available, the property owner went out of there way to provide plastic ware, and safety utensils needed for feeding my Son. Also provided without my asking was a high chair. The location turned out to be fantastic and within about half a block from a public pool. My Son and I spent several hours at the pool and counting us there were only two others. The next day we went to the Tampa Aquarium which is pretty much a straight shot to the South and only took us 5 minutes to drive there. Finally, I want to commend the property owner. The attention to detail in the furnishings ranging from coffee, hotel style soaps and shampoo, to exceeding our needs really made our stay enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend this place.
