A two-storey house with sweeping views of Bass Strait and the North Arm.
This house is an ideal family retreat, with enough room for a boat trailer. The back yard is fully fenced making it safe for children and your dog.
A large back deck was added in 2023 giving easy access to the large backyard. This compliments the front deck with water views.
The open plan is simple with clean crisp lines so as to not distract from the stunning views that can be enjoyed from all parts of the top level and on the large balcony that runs the length of the house. In 2026 I added a wood burning heater. It is just lovely on those odd wet days we even get in the summer. You will need to bring your own fire wood. Wifi is now available at no additional cost
There are even glimpses of water views from each of the 3 bedrooms downstairs. One queen, 1 double and bunk beds in the 3rd room. Linen ( Sheets and bath towels ) are provided. You need to bring your own beach towel.
The garden is planted with banksias and other native plants attracting a range of birds that visit daily. As you lie in bed each night you will hear the distant waves from the sea to lull you to sleep. There is no traffic noice from this property to keep you awake.
It is a quiet street away from the bustle of town but only a 2min drive to the beach however with views like this you might be reluctant to leave home.
The facilities are well stocked so that you will have everything you need to be able to cook from home and enjoy dinning outside on one of the large decks. There is one full bathroom with shower, bath and toilet. This is next to the master bedroom This is an additional shower in the laundry. A 2nd toilet was added to the full bathroom this season with the other toilet in a private space between the laundry and master bathroom.
Pets are to be outside however I am open to discuss some concessions. This is a self-check in property with no owner looking over your shoulder however I am always just a phone call away should you have any questions.

About the host
Hosted by Julie Holden
I built Banksia waters 15 years ago following a long desire to own a property that looks out to the ocean. I was working full time so it was long term rented. On retirement it was time to enjoy my home so with a fresh coat of paint and a few renos it is now my place to go. My permanent home is in Central Victoria. A small timber cottage with enough land for my horses and a large garden. My long term partner has a farm 60km away so there is plenty to keep me busy.
Why they chose this property
The land was affordable 20 years ago. It is a long way from Central Victoria but being able to see the water was what made my decision. I can ride my bike, paddle and walk in a different space every day. Just no room for my horse in the backyard
What makes this property unique
At this stage of my life I have the luxury of the 2 homes. In the next 10 years I will need to decide which one to keep. For now, holiday renting means I can enjoy the best of both worlds. Lakes Entrance has space. I need room in my life. I hate crowded beaches and busy footpaths. I love being able to walk on the beach and hardly see another person. You don't get that anywhere on the Great Ocean Road, even in the winter. You are close to lots of other places to explore. You can be isolated or entertained. Lakes Entrance has put a huge amount of effort to make this town a holiday destination. Over the years I have seen more and more activities that are family friendly and affordable. If you are not the beachy type, bring your mountain bike and explore the many paths both hilly or family friendly on the rail trails. The waters are safe to paddle on. Heaps of day trips start from here.
