Spacious Family Favorite, Private Balcony, Pool On-site & Near The Village

Mammoth Estates is located in the heart of it all, walking distance to the Village at Mammoth, in a quaint and quiet forest mountain setting. This two-bedroom,1.5 bath townhome features views of the pool and forest, vaulted ceilings, and skylights. This unit sleeps a maximum of 6 people with a king in one room and two sets of bunk beds in the 2nd room. The unit is non-smoking and pets are not permitted. PLEASE NOTE firewood is not provided. Mammoth Estates is perfect for your winter and summer vacations where you can enjoy the year round, game room, jacuzzi and sauna or take a dip in the beautiful pool on a hot summer day. All guests receive complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities including indoor heated pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, Pilates and cycle studio and more. Guests will be provided two parking passes. If more parking is required than what is allotted, feel free to call our office for alternative options. Our calendar is updated in real time. My biggest point of feedback is on the quality of the beds (with my biggest issue being the master); the mattresses are universally lumpy, with springs that creak and poke at you. The pillows are stained, and lumpy/hard. Good quality sheets though, and the place was warm.The kitchen - it needs a pasta pot. The rest of the offerings are basic, but serviceable.The stairs: if you have toddlers, I’d avoid this property, the bottom of the stairs lacks a railing on one side, the drop for an adult or older children is probably not an issue, but for families with very young kids it could be a hazard.Finally: the shower head is mounted to service persons 5’5” and shorter. As a person who pushes 6’ I had to crouch and contort myself to get clean, which is suboptimal.All in all: you can’t beat the location (5-7 minute walk max to the Village), but I’d put the age, size, and condition of the property as on par with what you’d find at the Village Lodge in their non-updated rooms. The property management company is great. They respond quickly, and work to resolve any immediately addressable issues.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was not able to take a hot shower when I arrived. Mike the maintenance showed up right away and reset the heater, had to wait for tank to warm up and I was able to shower. Next night same thing happened no hot water. Called management after hours (9PM) and Mike shower up right away and reset heater. Service was A+ but my room D-Yes I know that these condos are old but if I wanted a cold shower I could have slept in a tent. Some type of compensation for my next trip other than the 15% off for return customers would be nice but that's all I was offered. Maybe I spoke to the wrong person? I will return to Mammoth and will more than likely be booking with Mammoth reservations and stay at Mammoth Estates like I have been for over 45yrs.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: location was great but unit was poor. kitchen lacked even basic level utensils, cooking pans and glasses. not enough for 3 people let alone sleep numbers advertised. rental agency was not willing to help and wanted us to drive to their office to get cleaning supplies and didn't respond to request for more cooking pots.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I love Mammoth. The location to the village was great. This unit was dated and unclean when we arrived. The management company did give us a discount given the condition of the unit was subpar. If you plan to cook, I suggest going elsewhere as there were very limited pots and pans with only one small pan to cook an egg (no large or medium size pan). There are plenty of beds and the bathrooms were in good condition. If you don't plan to cook and need an average place to stay in a good location, then this would be a fine place. Hopefully, the rental company will have a better cleaning situation next time.

I’ve stayed in Mammoth Estates before and as a former Mammoth condo owner, I have to say there is not much that has been done to upgrade this condo in any way. The kitchen- has a leaky faucet, minimal kitchen utensils and cooking supplies (ie pots, pans, etc.). The counter top is some sort of marble-looking particle board, and the top coating is rubbing off. The upstairs heater needs to be cleaned desperately- we turned it on upon arrival and immediately smelled burnt plastic, so we opted to use the fireplace instead. The only shower downstairs has a shower head that is very low. My husband had to get in a deep squat to get his hair wet. The bathroom heater was also dusty and had an unusual smell it expelled when you turned it on. The tv upstairs sits in an entertainment center that’s been tucked in the wall so it’s not visible to half the people sitting on the couch. Bottom line- the location is great, it is walkable to the village, but if you actually plan to spend time in this condo, I don’t recommend it. I paid way too much for what I got.
