This review is regarding the property manage for this unit. A separate review of the unit itself is below.
After two weeks, I am still angry at the property management company, Vacasa, for this unit. Until the owners of the unit change property management companies, I would advise staying away as there are many comparable units in the Mountainback Complex and Mammoth Lakes in general.
After booking the unit through VRBO, I requested a late check out, even if only two hours, as instructed in the contract (which suggests it is an option). I immediately received a response that it was not available because of housecleaning and the next renter arriving the same day. Due to the response, I was not able to ski with my family on the last day of our trip.
However, as I was the person in my family checking out of the unit and packing the car, I confirmed that the housecleaners never came from the hours 11am - 3pm, even though I saw the housecleaners work the neighboring unit. How do I know? I checked back into the unit every hour from 11am - 3pm. In addition, I went onto the VRBO website and it showed the unit available on that same day we checked out. Thus, I was denied an opportunity to spend the last day with my family because of the incompetence of the property manager.
So long as the owners are using this property management company, I would advise against renting from this unit.
Unit Review
Nice unit, properly cleaned, bathrooms have been renovated. Everything you need in the kitchen. Comfortable beds and furniture.
Microwave and venting system above the range are broken/not-operable.
In the Master bedroom, the sliding glass door needs to be repaired, as there is a significant gap between the two doors, allowing air in. Was able to remedy the problem by stuffing a towel in the crack.
Would be helpful to have humidifiers in the unit.
Appreciate that it is dog friendly.
