Set among established gardens on a 60 acre farm, Plumstead Guesthouse is a newly-renovated three double bedroom, two bathroom, fully air conditioned house with multiple indoor and outdoor areas to relax and soak up the stunning rural views.
This peaceful location is perfect for visiting nearby wineries, restaurants and attractions. Five minutes to Lovedale and 15 minutes to Pokolbin, it is an excellent retreat for couples and families seeking a secluded, fully self-contained experience.
Held by the same family for multiple generations, Plumstead boasts a range of native trees and wildlife and showcases a little bit of local history. Also includes full kitchen and barbecue facilities, fireplace, washing machine and clothes line, ample parking and plenty of space to walk among the trees.

Gorgeous cottage

We stayed for a 60th long weekend girl's weekend at Plumstead, and it was the perfect location. Our hosts were delightful, leaving us a bottle of bubbly and a cheese plate as a welcome surprise. The house is roomy, clean and well appointed with everything you need for a great weekend. Two bathrooms as well, which is great for a houseful of girls IYKYK. Absolutely loved it.

Clean & Homely

When we arrived we were greeted by the owner - she was putting some finishing touches out for our stay. She was lovely. When we got inside we found the place very clean. There was wine, cheese, choccies & strawberries left for us- delightful. The house had lots of homely touches. Couple of things that I would’ve like to know before booking- that there is little to no phone service and the house doesn’t have wifi. So the kids were quite bored as it rained our while stay and the movies that were supplied on usb were limited and dated & the pool table wasn’t able to be used. We did play the few games that were there but they only ententertained us for so long.

Farm stay

I would highly recommend this relaxing farm stay to anyone. Host were lovely and helpful,the wood fire was all set up all I had to do was light it. Such a lovely gesture on a cold rainy day. Would love to stay again.

A great cottage that has everything you need for a hunter valley escape

Evonne was fantastic with communication and to have a bunch of goodies ready for us when we checked in was wonderful. Fire was stoked so nothing else to do. Plenty of room for three couples or a family.

A wonderful place to wind down.

After being postponed twice due to Covid we finally got to enjoy our sisters weeked getaway. Very thoughtful and accommodating hosts. A very clean and well stocked house with a lovely rural outlook. Would definitely stay at Plumsread again.

Beautiful country stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was lovely and very clean. It was so nice to walk into the warm home with a gorgeous fireplace on. Absolutely loved it. We will be back.

Excellent Property

The facilities were very clean and tidy. Spacious for our needs. The hosts went beyond our expectations with the welcoming extras. Our family highly recommends Plumstead Guesthouse for a relaxing stay and proximity to the wineries.

The house was in a lovely quiet area, perfect for our need for a rest.

Overall we enjoyed our stay immensely. It was only a short drive to all that Pokolbin has to offer. My husband left a pair of shoes behind and Yvonne was very helpful in us getting them back. Thank you.
