West End Paradise Unit Turtle 2 - One bedroom suite w/water views

Enjoy all that Sanibel Island has to offer at the West End Paradise. Our charming cottage style accommodations offer a serene and tropical setting with mature foliage, pond with birds and turtles and we're just a short walk to the private Tradewinds beach. Unit "Turtle 2" is a bungalow style suite with a full kitchen, spacious living room, dining area, screened lanai and separate bedroom with a king sized bed. There is a full bathroom in the suite as well. Need more room? ... add unit  "Starfish 1" for an additional bedroom with queen sized bed and full bathroom. All of our units come with beach towels, access to the charcoal bbq grill, outdoor seating, high speed wireless internet, cable TV and air conditioning for those tropical Island summers.  Only one parking space per unit.

*Important Note: This rental does not include beach chairs or umbrellas. Instead, we’ve partnered with VayKLife to provide you with a credit toward beach essentials like chairs, umbrellas, coolers, wagons, and more—so you can pack light and still enjoy everything you need for a perfect day at the beach. While some of our homes may have beach gear on-site, availability varies, and we cannot guarantee specific items will be provided. With VayKLife, you get to choose exactly what you need, and they’ll deliver it right to your door for added convenience. Your booking confirmation includes a link to VayKLife’s site, where you can browse their full selection and easily redeem your credit. It’s just one of the ways we help make your stay as seamless and enjoyable as possible.

Very clean. Perfect quiet spot for us. Short walk to the beach and loved sitting out on the back deck to watch all the wildlife. The 2 negatives-1- our bedroom and the other rental bedroom backs each other. the walls are paper thin and you can hear absolutely everything- even your neighbors quiet conversation and sneezing! 2- taking the 5 minutes to pull the old furniture that’s laying in the waterway out (old washed away patio tables) would greatly improve the overall appeal of sitting outside

Regarding the debris in the waterway, thank you for bringing that to my attention. While much of the area is still in post-hurricane restoration, I have already reached out to our maintenance team to coordinate the removal of those items to restore the full beauty of the view. We never met the host nor had personal contact with him. All questions or problems we had were handled by phone through a third party agency it seemed. That said, all our questions were answered and needs taken care of promptly and courteously. I certainly have no complaints. It was a clean, quiet, and comfortable unit. We would rent it again.

First the good stuff. The property seemed brand new and Very Clean the space was a good size. The water areas outside the unit are very nice. The bad, the distance from the beach access is too long. We were not informed on the location of the beach access and tried to find it ourseleves, after texing the management they did infor us. There had been some rain that caused flooding that causes mosguitos. I did not appreciate the 2 rolls of very cheap toilet paper only provided. The kitchen was not well stocked with kitchen wear. The internet was deadly slow 3.6 MB this is 2025.

We provide detailed beach access instructions, including a map, in our pre-arrival information. We'll review this information to ensure it's as clear as possible for future guests. We also regret the inconvenience caused by the rainfall and subsequent flooding. Unfortunately, while we can't control the weather, we do our best to manage the effects and minimize issues like mosquitoes. Regarding the supplies, we provide an initial starter supply of toiletries and other consumables. This is noted in our welcome packet to set expectations that guests will need to purchase additional items for extended stays. We also want to clarify the internet situation. The property is equipped with Xfinity high-speed internet, which typically provides much faster speeds than you experienced. We're sorry you had issues with the speed during your stay. We will investigate this further to ensure the connection is working properly. We hope you'll consider staying with us again for a chance to provide you with a better experience.

It was fine

The place was very clean, the bed comfortable and all was good. With stone floors, I would suggest that all future guests bring their slippers. The only criticism I would make is that it is about .3 of a mile from the unit to the beach parking lot and then about the same from there to the beach, so the walk to the beach was further than we thought it would be from the listing. Because of that distance, you really do want to load up the car with he chairs and beach items rather than walk it.

Everything was just beautiful.

Everything was just beautiful. The wildlife all around was very serene and relaxing. Perfect spot if your looking to get away from it all and relax. Loved being in island time. Reminds me of where both my husband and myself grew up. Feels like we stepped back to a better and happier place in time. The island has just about anything you would need. Jerry’s was a great market with a lot of items yo chose from. The bait shops also has everything you can think of if your into fishing. Rash guard shirts are very reasonably priced. Loved the shell museum and the information center is one of the best we’ve have been to and we’ve been to many. Too many good things to even cover in this comment section. See comment #2

We have noticed through the years that the blinds have been losing slats.

We have noticed through the years that the blinds have been losing slats. This tends to make the room look a little rundown. The blinds in the main living area couldn’t be opened because the pull cord was broken. We reported it and it was fixed the same day. We appreciated the prompt attention. We did feel that the cleaning team should have noticed this and had it repaired before the next renters arrived. The cleaning team also needs to look for cobwebs in the corners of rooms and lanai. I don’t know how often the floors are mopped or whether they are only swept. My husband’s socks were black on the bottom from the floors. Overall the room was clean and comfortable. Our emails were answered promptly and our questions were answered. I felt the person I talked to about booking next year had a rather impersonal attitude. It was just all about business.
