Wallace River Retreat is an enchanting private and peaceful escape set just 1 hour from Seattle in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains at Stevens Pass. This stunning property is a MUST SEE- photos just can't convey the tranquility and unique detail. The fully fenced 1 1/3 acre features a large hot tub, fire pit, mossy trails, fruit trees, towering conifers, hand carved art around every corner and private Wallace River access. The riverside studio offers a cozy place for musicians to gather- instruments provided! – or a meditative morning reflection. The 3-bedroom home was fully remodeled in Nov 2020, with guest comfort in mind, creating the perfect place for family and friends to enjoy what is sure to be an annual getaway full of magic and memories!

The property was gorgeous! They thought of every little detail to make it a great stay. The hot tub was awesome and the river was beautiful. Very comfy cozy house and spacious property! Can’t wait to be back!

What a beautiful and LARGE property! All 4 of us ladies were super cozy on the couch together as well as in our rooms and the hot tub. We were so shocked at how large the property was! Which gave us plenty of outside time and by the river, which was so wonderful.

Weekend getaway

Our group loved the home and property. The entire property is massive with plenty of fun things to do and a fully fenced yard which allowed our dogs to be off leash and enjoy the space too!

Just what we needed

We were only there for 3 days and 2 nights but every time we turned around we found a new place to enjoy. Our youngest were in the music studio for hours on end. Cornhole and hot tub were well used. This place was just as advertised maybe more so!

Gorgeous property

We had a incredible time on this property we had 4 adults 2 toddlers and 2 dogs and everyone had a blast. The property had everything we needed and was just perfect for a incredibly relaxing weekend for our 2 little families.

Great cabin!!

Such a cozy and fun cabin! The location was perfect and the property was so pretty. We really enjoyed the hot tub and games provided. Would stay here again!!

Dog paradise

Great property completely fenced in. Lots of nooks and crannies for everyone to find their relaxing spot. Dogs loved running and exploring.

Riverside oasis

This riverside oasis is the best place to be. We watched humming birds, a beautiful raven, played board games, enjoyed the Gary Larson books, dipped our toes in the river and began our mornings walking the property. It is so lovely, relaxing, expertly well appointed and has something everyone can enjoy. This place is a treasure.

Beautiful property

Overall the property is incredible, there is a lot of special places to discover as you walk around the trails. However, if you were hoping to enjoy a view or even a glimpse of the river from the house, you will be just as disappointed as I was. We did enjoy the hot tub (again no view of river) and loved all the details around the property, it is very thought out.

River, hot tub, room to roam and owls!

We loved our stay here! Our 2 dogs had a blast playing in the huge yard, and we enjoyed exploring all the nooks and crannies of the large fenced property. Places to sit next to the river, around the fire pit or on the porch to listen to the birds made it so relaxing. We were visited by two barred owls! The separate music room is a big plus, giving an opportunity to try out different instruments without disturbing others. The hot tub was pristine and private, great for soaking after a hike. And the cabin kitchen was better equipped than ours at home. Great internet service allowed us to keep in touch with work when we had to. We plan to come back.

Lovely

I wish we could have stayed longer, maybe forever. The propery is amazing. Neighbors are a little close so I did wish for a tall fence on both sides instead of just the one, but other than that, the outdoor space is just about perfect. The music room was a huge hit with my teens. I was bummed I didn't realize there is a flat lawn space as we would have brought some light sports equipment. The river was awesome as well, with two different ways down. I spent the most time at the fire pit and really enjoyed that space. As far as the house goes, there was very little water pressure in the kitchen sink and I would have been happier with window coverings in the living room/kitchen for evenings as I felt very exposed, but otherwise we had no complaints. The bathrooms and bedrooms are beautiful and well maintained. Cleaning supplies are readily acceasible and labels were helpful as far as providing information on appropriate use of the various aspects. Really, just a wonderful place to go.

Beautiful property and lovely house

This is a huge property with a large riverfront and beautiful trees and landscaping throughout - absolutely one of the best places we have ever stayed in. We loved all the outdoor spaces - played badmitton and bocce on the lawn, read in the hammocks, played games on the table by the river, made s'mores at the firepit, ate outside on both decks and soaked in the hot tub. We even splashed around in the river. So many places to escape by yourself or do things together. We cooked all our meals in the kitchen, which had everything we needed. The music shed was amazing for family jam sessions. The inside renovation was well done, comfortable and had all the ameneties we required, plus some extras that were nice - tons of games, DVDs, great exterior lighting, swings, and air conditioning. We didn't have a dog or young kids, but the property would be great for both as it is fenced all around. It was a fantastic, relaxing stay for our family - wish we could have stayed longer!

Amazing surrounding.

We had a very good time at the house and thoroughly enjoyed the river that is just steps away. Our dogs loved the yard and the access to water. The house is clean, well-kept, and the AC was definitely a plus during a hot summer stay!

Best place to stay for a family

Wonderful inside and outside. Very scenic, river adjacent was beautiful. Lots of activities were provided (lawn games, a music "jam" room [as we dubbed it], DVDs for the kids). House didnt' feel to "old", kitchen and bathrooms appeared updated and more modern.

Perfect in Every Way

We spent 3 wonderful days at the cabin with our two dogs. The cabin is clean, charming, and comfortable. Little touches like a box of dog toys, a towel for muddy paws, and dog bed were exceptional. There's plenty of room but it still feels cozy. Kitchen is modern, fully equipped, and easy to use. We loved the art ranging from beautiful to witty and funny. The hot tub is hands down the best we've every used. The property is unique and lovely; you can wander thru and find a new treasure around each corner. Lots of privacy and special hidden spots. Everything felt secure and we loved walking down to the rushing, crystal clear river. Hummingbirds flitted everywhere. Our whole time there was a smile and made great memories. We will be back.

A Little Slice of Heaven

Sweet getaway not too far from Seattle, yet you feel a million miles away. The cabin is cozy and comfortable, even has A/C for those super jot summer days. The kitchen is well equipped with sharp knives, high quality utensils and plenty of dishes to get 6 people through the day without having to run the dishwasher. Lots of different seating areas outside for groups or solo contemplation. The riverbank is totally private, as is the huge hot tub. Dogs and kids can run around the fully fenced property. Great for birdwatchers. Highly recommended!

Paradise!

Wallace River Retreat was perfect in every way for our group stay. The home is very well-equipped with so many thoughtful things - flip-flops for walking to the hot tub, hummingbird nectar to refill the feeders, thorough instructions on how to use the TV and Sonos music system, plenty of towels, etc. Beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are very nice. But the outdoor areas made this stay a paradise for us. Swings, hammocks, hot tub, fire pit, decks, porch, 3 different areas to enjoy the riverfront - all spaced out on a huge property. And for bird lovers like us, this is a special oasis with feeders throughout and plenty of bird seed for refills. The musician in our group was thrilled to have a practice space with instruments! Couldn't ask for anything more.

This property is beautiful and very well maintained. The cabin is comfy and has a ton of charm. Lots of little special details. The grounds are amazing with lots of adorable and beautiful different spots to explore and enjoy. Would absolutely recommend this property. They provided lots of indoor and outdoor games with fishing poles and everything. Then, as if that wasn’t enough, they have a beautifully equipped music studio and allow access!!! Amazing property.

Stunning, Private, Peaceful

My husband, mother-in-law, and I (along with our dogs) recently enjoyed a weekend stay at this gorgeous property. The house was cozy and comfortable, and the grounds looked magical. We’re already looking forward to coming back for a longer stay in the future!

Great getaway

We really enjoyed spending time by the river and having a fire in the firepit. Everything was perfect for our family to getaway for a few days.
