60+ Min to Leavenworth
Newly installed automatic transfer generator helps protect your stay in the case of a power outage! These mountain communities are prone to power outages during winter storms. Rest assured that you will stay warm and cozy regardless of what the weather does during your visit.
This cabin is perfect in all seasons. In the winter, watch the snow fall as you relax in the new covered hot tub after a day of skiing/snowboarding or sip hot cocoa in front of the wood burning fireplace.
In the summer, take a dip in the refreshing mountain water, or relax with a book on the deck while your stresses are carried away with the sound of the river. Once the sun goes down make sâmores at the fire pit (burn ban permitting)!
Enjoy the amazing hiking that the Sky Valley offers with your 4 legged friend!
Raining outside? That's ok! Play some of the provided board games! Bake some delicious cookies in the new oven, then take them to the table and work on a puzzle. Prefer streaming/scrolling? Gig speed fiber and a 55" Smart TV will keep you entertained and connected.
Even though it's only an hour's drive from downtown Seattle, this comfortable cabin retreat feels like it's a million miles away.
There is parking in front of the cabin, with a gently steep but short driveway to access it. We do recommend 4 wheel drive, or you can also park on the neighborhood street. The driveway is not appropriate for commercial sized vehicles or RVs.
The home is in a forest setting, on a river.
Black bears, elk, deer, coyotes, raccoons, bobcats, & cougar may be seen. Beaver, river otters, & various rodents are also present.
Bald eagles, great blue herons, various waterfowl like ducks and swans are common. Hawks and owls also inhabit the area.
Please be extremely careful at the edge of the property above the river. The recent flooding eroded the river bank in places and the land is still settling. Be very cautious, especially regarding children and pets.
EVs welcome! There's a 50 amp car charger available. The neighboring lot to the east (upriver) is a public space that is community maintained providing a nice buffer from other homes. There is a beautiful community beach that you can walk to as well.
The home does not have air conditioning. We do provide fans and the home is shaded by the surrounding trees.
Rules:
If you have excessive garbage please take it with you. There is no commercial garbage service for the neighborhood, so it must be taken by the cleaners between each guest. If the garbage is more than normal (one bag per day) we will pass down the extra garbage fee charged.
If you are bringing your lovely pet with you, please note the following:
We only permit 2 dogs. We will charge an extra cleaning fee if the cleaning takes longer than normal to deal with any hair, damage, or extra messes.
Pet rules:
1. Be sure your booking includes the pets you will be bringing accurately. The pet fee will be applied to your reservation cost.
2. Please have your dog(s) stay off the furniture or have a pet blanket if they want to be on the furniture so that hair/fur is not left behind.
3. Do NOT leave your dog at the cabin unattended.
4. Guests must pick up dog waste in a doggy waste bag and dispose of it in the outdoor trash can.
5. Please report any accidents so I can ensure they are cleaned up properly and future pets are not attracted to pee in that location.
6. Dog(s) must be on a leash as the property is not fenced.
There is a possibility that there will be a burn ban during certain parts of the year (typically during summer months). This is not a ban by us, but by the local fire district. Please follow all county/city rules regarding burn bans, and practice fire safety at all times, as the cabin is within a forest, and wildfires are a serious risk. Any fines or legal ramifications received due to a guest not abiding by the ban requirements will be passed to the guest.
If you use the indoor fireplace, or the outdoor pit, make sure the fire is COMPLETELY out before going to sleep or leaving the cabin. Never leave a fire unattended.
If you move any furniture or unplug anything, please put everything back the way you found it before you leave.
Hot Tub Rules:
Please reach out to us right away (and stop using the hot tub) if the water goes below the top jet at any point during your stay (does not include shoulder jets). We will have someone sent out to fill and rebalance the hot tub as needed.
PLEASE DO NOT PUT ANYTHING IN THE WATER!!! (bubbles/soaps/oils/etc - anything besides a clean human body and clean bathing suits)
1) All users of the hot tub do so at their own risk. Please consult your doctor before using the hot tub if you are pregnant, have heart disease, diabetes, high or low blood pressure, you are receiving treatment or have a long-term illness.
2) No children under 6 years permitted. Children of any age must be supervised by an adult at all times.
3) Do not exceed max number of persons (6).
4) Shower with soap and water prior to entering the hot tub.
5) Do not enter the hot tub if the water is above 104 degrees.
6) Enter and exit the hot tub slowly/carefully.
7) Please no jumping/diving.
8) No glass, food, or drinks allowed in or near the hot tub.
9) Do not use hot tub under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
10) Do not submerge your head underwater.
11) Keep long hair out of the water and away from any drains.
12) Limit your soak to 15 minutes, and cool off before re-entry.
13) Please replace the spa cover after each use.
14) Do not sit/lay/stand on spa cover.
15) If the waterline is approaching the jet exit, please let us know immediately.
*** If water needs to be drained and replaced after your stay due to oils/lotions/food/drink in water, a $100 cleaning fee will be charged. The hot tub is drained and re-filled at regular intervals and this standard scheduled maintenance will not incur a fee when not due to misuse.
