This lovely home has everything you need to create great memories. Only 45 minutes from Wellington CBD and in the gorgeous suburb of Raumati South You couldn't get any closer to the beach. Newly renovated and furnished we have thought of your every need from the games room, the 9 person spa pool and the kayaks and paddleboard.You'll love this private property for it's new facilites and the incredible views. Prepare to enjoy yourself!

The house was clean and as pictured. We came on a work retreat and it was perfect for us in terms of bedrooms and space. It was well stocked for a big group and set in a beautiful location. The only challenge was that we had some issues connecting the TV to a laptop. For that reason we’ve given 4 stars – otherwise we would happily have given 5.

The home is in need of repair, and does not seem maintained. In addition furniture is a bit tired and worn.

Hi, thanks very much for you feedback. Maitenance is something we take very seriously and action straight away. Unfortunately there was a breakage of the side of a kitchen drawer and also the fridge drawer over the holiday period and delays in parts arriving so these were not fixed during your stay. And a leak was discovered which I have actioned straight away. We are constantly buying new things for the bach as due ot its popularity things do get worn. The week before you arrived the spa lid and air hockey table were replaced. Most of the bedroom furniture is oak and in excellent condition. Kitchen items are constantly replaced with regular stock takes. I am happy to hear that you had a great time at the bach. Thank you for staying.

Family Stay

This property had plenty of space indoors and outdoors for our group of 14. Bedrooms were comfy and the 3 bathrooms meant no one was waiting. The Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. We loved the spa and easy access to the beach front. Spectacular views.

Amazing vacation for a group of friends!

We had a wonderful stay with a group of families with kids ranging in ages as there was something for everyone here and the location directly on the beach was impossible to beat! Big tables (indoors and outdoors) for a large group to sit down together for a meal, tons of glassware, two toasters, two kettles, two fridges, two washers and dryers all help to make this an easy and enjoyable stay for bigger groups! Amazing views, a great game room for kids and hot tub for everyone to enjoy. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting the area and wanting a relaxing getaway at the beach!

Such a beautiful property we had a lovely stay!! Location and facilities were Outstanding 🥰 Pity about the neighbours, really do have to keep noise to a minimum otherwise they will be inviting themselves over to tell you exactly how they feel so a bit of a shame when celebrating special milestones. Apart from that would definitely recommend.

Samantha, after running the property as an airbnb since February 2019 you are the first guests that the neighbours have complained about. There have been many celebrations there, including weddings, hens nights, 50th etc and we have never had complaints before, but your group was too much for him. You admitted yourself that your friends were out of control and didn't listen when they were asked to be quiet. The house is not appropriate for all night parties and we definitely don't want people staying that are not going to respect the neighbours right to sleep.

We were down for a family wedding! Location was perfect - close to food and coffee! House was clean and tidy! Water pressure was great and beds were very comfy! Great for kids also! Fantastic holiday home right on the beach

This house was perfect for a weekend away with a large group of friends. Fantastic location right on the beach and walking distance to the cafes & shops. Beautiful views & magic sunsets. There are many awesome outdoor spaces to relax and catch up, including decks, the BBQ area and the wonderful spa with a view. The kitchen is well stocked and has more than enough of everything you need. There's lots of space and is nicely furnished and set up for large groups and families. Kelly was great to deal with and everything was smooth and easy. Can't wait to return.

Excellent holiday house for big families.

We had an excellent stay. The house was clean, tidy and so well provisioned. Everything you could ask for, and in quantities to suit the 20+ of us. Adults and kids had a great time. Family Gathering for 50th Wedding Anniversary

External appearance of property belies its capacity and the quality of the accommodation. Do not be fooled. This place has first rate fixtures and fittings, great internal accommodation, socialization spaces, kitchen and bathroom facilities and every convenience and appliance, suited for a large gathering of all ages. The games room and spa pool kept our young people occupied when the weather was inclement. They loved it! Its location right on the beach gives unrivaled views of the sea, the sunset and the beach. The property is close to shops and cafes which were well used by all. Our communication with the property manager was flawless and we would not hesitate to use the place again.

Amazing experience

Our stay in the Big Bach has been nothing but amazing!! Kelly was so prompt in responding and very accommodating with our requests. She patiently answered all of our inquiries even the smallest details as to how many people can fit on the table, the inventory of tableware, are just a few of the questions we’ve had. We held our intimate wedding at this place. Even though the weather was not that permitting, our event turned out more than what we’ve expected to be, as the place looks amazing on its own. Highly recommended for any kind of gatherings, even just for a quick getaway from the city! Very organized with how we can use and maximize the property. Very smooth check-in and check-out process. The place is also modern-looking and has refreshing decorations. Makes the house look so cozy!

The whole experience was fantastic, from coordinating the booking and check-in times, access to the property and the house it self. Set in a gorgeous location right on the beach, the rooms and facilitates were immaculate and made for a wonderful escape for our team and our end of year function. Lovely weekend stay

We held our wedding at the Big Bach and it was a great venue. We got amazing weather and stunning sunsets despite the time of year, and were able to have an outdoor ceremony. The proximity to the beach, fireplace, spa and large living area made the Big Bach the perfect setting for our 35-person event. Kelly and Stu were helpful and responsive throughout. A well-maintained and furnished holiday home!

Weekend away at the big bach

The weekend spent away at the big bach was great, perfect place to escape for the weekend. Perfect for big groups with lots of space. The house was perfectly equipped and it was bliss to have access to walk along the beach. Absolutely loved it. Would definitely reccommend.

Designed with children in mind, the kids can have their own space downstairs while the adults enjoy some time out for themselves. The seperate games room is great for both kids and adults. Enjoy a game of air hockey, table tennis or darts. Or take one of the many large outdoor games out into the front yard to the fully fenced section for the kids to play with. They could pop out to the back of the property and enjoy the Wendy House and the restored boat that is nestled into the deck. If you are wanting to keep the young ones entertained inside, they will enjoy the many kids books, board games, Thomas the Tank Engine, Duplo and other toys. If you have very young children enjoy free use of the two portacots and bedding, safety gate and highchair. We are also perfect for corporates. With 9 bedrooms we could be perfect for your next off-site, overnight planning and strategy event, just 45-minutes from Wellington CBD.All planning and training sessions can take place in the light and stylish open plan living, which overlooks Kapiti Island. We have a large table that can comfortably sit 10 people as a working space. There is also a whiteboard available, mounted on an easel.Strategise during the day and enjoy a lovely walk along the stunning beach in the evening The numerous windows bring the sun in and the large fireplace, 2 heat-pumps and heaters in every bedroom to ensure your stay is cosy during winter.The bach includes a designer kitchen and scullery with a double oven and range-hood, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and bread maker.There are three bathrooms; one upstairs and two downstairs, as well as a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer. There is a big barbecue and lots of deck options, both on the upstairs balcony and downstairs deck, to enjoy the sun. .Off-street car parking is provided for up to six cars.
