Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate you staying with us. Here at Jackson Mountain Rental, we strive to ensure the joy and comfort of our guests. We are happy that we met your intended expectations. In reference to road conditions, guests are generally advised that due to the mountainous terrain of the Smoky Mountains and the surrounding area, they are required to arrive in a high-profile vehicle equipped with All-Wheel Drive or Four-Wheel Drive during the winter season and strongly recommended to do so year-round. Jackson Mountain is a mountainous area with snow and icy conditions during the winter. This can affect driving and parking conditions regardless of the property, driveway, or roads. While the bears appear calm, we recommend guests remain alert when outdoors and keep vehicles secure at all times. Thank you again for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review, and we are looking forward to welcoming you back for another exceptional experience!
This was our second time at this house and it was awesome! We saw bears everyday, the weather was beautiful and the people that live down here are absolutely the nicest people we ever met. We will definitely be back!!!
Very nice cabin with pool table & hot tub. Location to Anakeesta was amazing. The roads are very steep so a four-wheel-drive would be optimal. We would definitely stay here again.
Thank you so much for the positive review! I'm thrilled to hear that the product lived up to your expectations. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and helps us continue to improve our offerings. We strive to provide the best possible experience for our customers, and comments like yours motivate us to keep doing what we're doing. Thank you again for your support!
Love the location! Saw bears and little cubs almost every day.
This was our 5th time visiting the Gatlinburg area and I have to say that this house was simply the best! 6 min drive to town, 5 min to Food city. How can you beat that view!!!!
The view was amazing, the road was a little rough at first but we got used to it. Everything was amazing and the overall impression was great. Lot of fun things to do to in and around town, the hot tub was nice we all enjoyed using it.
All in all excellent experience, if you get headaches easily bring medicine.
Cabin was cozy, clean, and well-furnished. Views from the balcony were excellent. Wish we had more time to enjoy the cabin, but it's too difficult to get away from work at the moment.

Thank you so much for this 5-star review. We really appreciate you being a customer and helping to share the word about us. We’re here for you anytime.
One of the best places we have stayed in the smokies. Great location. You are close enough to town that it’s easy to get food or go into the park from high enough above the noise and crowds to really relax too. The drive up wasn’t that hard either. We will for sure being enjoying this property again.

Hi Sarah!
We are so sorry to hear you were not able to contact our management office. Usually communication directly to the homeowners is not available to our guests! Feel free to reach out if there is anything we can do. It is nice to see that the stay was enjoyable and the views were beautiful! Looking forward to your next stay -Bella
We absolutely loved this cabin! The drive up was a challenge but the GPS was able to take us right up to the top. Hope you know how to park! Everything inside was very clean and orderly. Views were amazing and no issues with any of the amenities. We will definitely be booking again in the future :)

Thanks, so much for sharing your experience with us. We are happy you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to seeing you again.
This house was perfect for our family vacation this year. The house itself is beautiful and cozy and the location is unbeatable. You are at the top of the mountain and the view is gorgeous. It was also seriously a 5 minute drive right to downtown Gatlinburg. You really get the best of both worlds. You are so close to everything and all the attractions, but then when you’re at the house you feel like you’re in your own little hide away. We even saw bears right in front of the house! We loved it and can’t wait to go back!

Ok
While the cabin itself was fine. Maybe not the best value. But, it was fine. My gripe is with the lack of communication from VRBO. Unless of course it’s 36 hours prior to your checkout. Then, you will get all sorts of emails and texts. While I understand why these owners go through VRBO, I wish they would expect more or check on the people handling the properties.

Do not rent with Jackson Mountain Homes
Found out 1.5 hours prior to check in that cleaners could not come. Had to wash sheets and towels that had blood on them and clean the cabin from dog hair and people prior in addition to buying all cleaning supplies, starter toilet paper, paper towels, etc and laundry. Management company only wants to reimburse the cleaning fee and nothing else. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Hi Emily, we deeply apologize that you had this kind of experience with us. I do see our office was in communications with you about the issues that you encountered when getting to your rental. I can assure you we did all what we could in getting the refund amount that was offered. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do, thank you for your patience with us during this process.
We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin and would definitely return. It was very clean and just a short drive down the mountainside to downtown Gatlinburg. Despite how much we enjoyed our stay there were a few things that I think could be improved and a few things that are out of managements control but are good to know heading in. 1) the view. The cabin definitely has the POTENTIAL for a nice view but they have allowed some trees to grow up and block a lot of the view. These are not oaks or pines or anything like that. If they were I would absolutely understand why they haven't been taken down. These trees are just young trash trees that started out as weeds and were never taken care of. There is still a pretty nice view but you have to stand in one little spot to see it. 2) the rockers on the deck were extremely uncomfortable. Seems like a small detail but I can assure you it'll get old pretty fast. Everyone commented on it multiple times but to be fair we did spend a lot of time on the deck. A big part of staying in a cabin in the mountains is sitting out on the deck enjoying the view. Fixing those two issues would be cheap for management and it would really make the experience better. A couple things that are out of managements control but are good to know: The drive up is very steep and windy but the roads are very nicely paved. There are A LOT of bears around the cabin. We loved it but we had our dog with us so we had to be very careful taking him out.

Nice Cabin...but with some inconveniencs !!
The cabin itself was REALLY NICE!! But if you stay here.....DO NOT arrive before 4:00! They have a lock on the door that will not let you in until 4:00 on the nose! We arrived early due to our travels by 2 hours and had to sit outside the whole time they would not let you in. Even though it was clean and ready to go. Which was a little irritating to say the least. I even offered to pay for the 2 hours we arrived early and they declined. Once we got in the cabin a smoke detector was beeping cause the battery was dead. I called and they said they would have someone there shortly, after 3 hours of listening to this beep we had to drive to the store and get the batteries ourself and change it out. Also, if you plan to stay here make sure you bring kitchen towels, dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper and trash bags! That was the other disappointing thing with staying at this cabin. We stayed for 5 nights (Monday thru Saturday) and all that the cabin offered was 2 rolls of toilet paper, NO laundry detergent, very little dish soap, 1 dishwasher tablet,1 kitchen towel &1 trash bag!!! I am sorry but a family staying a whole week should have been given more than that, especially for the price of the cabin to rent it. This is not our first time staying in a cabin like this and I thought it was a little ridiculous.
Again GREAT cabin, but come prepared!!
Do not book here, Terrible Location, terrible rental company
Sadly we paid for two nights here as the photos show an amazing home. However the location is terrible. The roads are horrible to drive up to it and there were no directions given. It is located where the fire must have come through a few years back. There are concrete slabs where houses used to be that you drive by. Part of the road getting up there is not paved at all and the paved parts are cracked and not maintained at all. You have to be quite careful as much of it is a single lane. We woke up Saturday morning to the smell of burning outside when we left for a little while. When we came back we could see an open brush fire just up behind the house with no one around at all. Upon going inside the cabin there was a mouse that had joined us and you can see the gap under the fireplace where he/she and friends must be free to come and go. At that point we were all set with staying the second night. We packed and left. I left a voicemail with the rental agency as no one answered and they never once returned my call. We happened to drive by the storefront for the vacation rentals on our way out of town and we stopped in. They had nothing to offer in exchange and I was told someone would look at my refund request. No one called, no one emailed. I got an automated here is your fifty dollar refund (for an expensive 2 night stay). I again sent a nice message and got no reply. Perhaps I should not have been so nice. I will never rent from VTrips/Jackson Mountain Homes nor will I ever recommend them. We were very disappointing in this rental and the rental agency lack of a response to any of this. There are so many better places to book. Do NOT book here!!

Bear-tastic!!!
We enjoyed our first trip ever to TN! The cabin was beautiful, and well maintained! We did book this cabin begining of the year, and was a little upset with the vrbo pictures showing no cabin beside of us. We thought we were secluded. So the pictures are very deceiving and should be updated. We enjoyed the bears everyday of our stay, the neighbors got to see a 500lb Pappa bear! We did have a guest in my car, all due to my husband leaving the sunroof open. Mamma bear didn't tear anything up other than some trash, I did get Christened with bear claws in my leather dash.I would high highly suggest to roll windows up, and lock your doors. A lot of bear activity everyday and night.
The outside lights suck on the cabin suck, there is only one motion light, so luckily we had a flash light. If you plan to cook a lot, I would suggest bringing pots and pans and POT Holders.
The hot tub was nice on the covered porch!!
We enjoyed ourselves and had a great time! So much to do between pigeon forge and Gatlinburg!!
We had nice views from the balcony and hot tub. Lots of space for the kids to spread out. We loved seeing all the bears from the balcony. It was secluded but only a 5-10 min drive down the mountain. We loved parking in the parking garage and using the trolley to go everywhere including Pigeon Forge. We would definitely be back! The only suggestion would be to have the cleaning service dust the blinds and fans.
