Wonderful, quiet vacation

We had a wonderful vacation at Villa Chillax N Sunsets. The house was clean and had everything we expected. Watching the sunsets was breathtaking. The neighborhood was quiet, only the A/C in front of the room with the two beds felt a bit noisy at night for people sleeping there. For the future we would like to see a high chair for infants/toddlers, that was the only thing we missed. We would definitely come back again.

Fall stay

Great house. Lots of space, very comfortable. Quiet neighborhood. Just couldn’t figure out how to get local tv. Only apps. Very clean. We were there for work so we were gone a lot but would definitely rent again. Loved the large master space and bath!

Disappointing experience and stay - No Cage and Zero Heated Pool, pictures don’t match real life.

Prior to booking we called Roelens the rental company to confirm the state of the property since the hurricane. We were traveling with our small 1 year old son and needed to ensure the house was suitable for him and safety. We were told the house had very minimal damage to the cage by the pool (maybe 1 or 2 screens missing but at the top of the cage) and that the pool was heated to 88 degrees (another must for us with a baby). When we arrived the cage was completely missing, the pool was cold and not heated at all. Donna the property manager was there and could see our surprise, all information given to us prior to booking was all lies. Donna suggested I called the company which I did but but they couldn’t help us without us having to pay more money, they didn’t care that they shared very inaccurate information and that the listing on VRBO was completely wrong - they told us they have 300 properties listed and can’t manage all the sites with updated information. Donna showed us another property (that if we chose would have cost more money) but this house smelt of smoke, had tarps all over the roof and again a cold pool. We had nowhere else to go and VRBO had opened up a case for us given the false representation on their website which is still ongoing and being dealt with. The house itself was clean and just like the pictures however the pool was freezing and completely unusable, we actually purchased a thermometer to test the water temperature and it sat at 69 degrees well below daily temps. The pool &house backed onto a canal and without a cage or any safety measures was not usable. We tried to call Roelens but never heard back, we emailed and never received a response from Roelens. I cannot tell anyone enough not to book with this company, they are horrific to deal with, lie blatantly to you and don’t care about the renters needs at all. It is shocking that safety of child was so over looked just to make a booking. Don’t be fooled into thinking just because they advertise on VRBO as well that they are reputable as they are not. The lies that we had to live with impacted and ruined our vacation with our son. To top it off Roelens have since sent me a mass email saying “don’t book again with VRBO or any other online rental site and book directly with them to save money”, this is not only untrue (if you look at their private booking site prices) but also a total lack of respect on the site that they are listed on. Stay away from Roelens.
