We really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Chalet! It was the perfect amount of space for 15 guests. The house has so many amenities, it’s impossible to be bored while staying in.

Thank you so much for this great 5-star review, Carmentina. Your review means a lot to us. Thank you for choosing Big Bear Vacations. Our team is looking forward to the opportunity to host you again!
Check in process was easy and front desk employees were friendly. The house could’ve been cleaner. When we arrived there were food crumbs on the tables and the floors were filthy. Also, one of the back doors did not have a lock which was concerning for us in terms of safety. The location was great and convenient to access

Liked: Location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
It was a combination of misrepresented property condition and hollow host management.Property Condition: This home was clearly a high-end custom build once, but it is now severely 'beat up' from over-occupancy. The 'Grand Chalet' branding is misleading; the interior shows significant deferred maintenance and heavy wear that isn't reflected in the listing photos.Host Experience: While the host was 'responsive' to messages, they only performed the bare minimum. They acknowledged the issues during my stay but failed to provide any actual solutions. The Compensation Stall: The host is currently 'reviewing' compensation, which feels like a stalling tactic given the clear evidence provided. It shouldn't take weeks to acknowledge that a property is in a state of disrepair.Ultimately, the house is being managed as a high-volume commercial asset with zero attention to the quality of the guest experience or the upkeep of the home’s original standards.
