LAKE LEELANAU FAMILY HOME, HOT TUB, POOL TABLE

Wonderful family vacation home with great amenities on Lake Leelanau and centrally located in Leelanau County. 4 bedroom + office/bedroom, 3.5 bath home features new kitchen, two interior dining areas, wi-fi, Hulu + many live channels with large HD TVs, google chromecast, new high-quality mattresses and central air conditioning. All bath rooms were recently remodeled. New large deck overlooks the lake with deck chairs, dining area and propane grill. Lower level has 2nd living room with large TV, pool table and hot tub on outdoor patio. Outside there is a lakeside deck with lounge chairs, picnic table, fire pit, row boat, fishing poles, three adult kayaks and one child kayak, two standup paddle boards, corn hole (bags), horseshoes and other outdoor games. Soft bottom lake but water is deep enough for swimming off the dock with ladder to get in and out of the water.

One week minimum from June 15 to August 31. 4 day minimum otherwise.

Great central location for everything that the Leelanau Peninsula has to offer; close to Traverse City (20 min), Lake Leelanau beaches 5 min), Lake Michigan public beaches (10 min), walking distance to town of Lake Leelanau, Leland (6 min), Suttons Bay (6 min), Glen Arbor (23 min), Sleeping Bear National Park (10 to 30 mins), Cedar (15 min) and Northport (20 min). Amazing lakes, beaches, food and restaurants, shopping, golfing, communities, wineries and trails make this one of the best vacation locations in the country. This area has something for everyone and in 2011 was named the most beautiful place in America.

Susan's Retirement Celebration

Awesome spot to celebrate my wife's retirement with our kids and their wives. The location is excellent and the house is awesome. Close to vineyards, places to eat, and a lot of fun things to do. We really enjoyed being right on Lake Leelanau, the paddleboards, and being able to walk into the town of Lake Leelanau. A great trip!

Amazing stay on Lake Leelanau. The house was spotless and included so many essentials needed for everyday. You felt more like a guest in the home than a renter. Wonderful lake home with great amenities!

Wow! This property was very clean and had every thing you needed to enjoy a week on the lake. We had a mix of adults and teens and everyone had a great time. We used the kayaks and SUP that were available and the kids enjoyed the hot tub. We walked into town and had dinner a few nights which was a great option. Overall one of the best places we had stayed on the lake!

Great house- just as advertised. Home was immaculate. There were plenty of towels, beach towels, linens etc. It was my husband, teenage son and my 2 grown daughters and their families. The house was a perfect set up. We enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks, games and fire pits. Such a great place that we have already shared the listing with a friend.

Amazing time!

The home is nothing but amazing! All the amenities you could ask for. Had extra of everything. Mike was very nice and easily accessible. We loved the hot tub and the fire pit roasting marshmallows. Yard was great for the kids to run around too. We brought our boat and the dock was wonderful for that and they even had extra life jackets in all sizes. Would definitely recommend over and over again!

The perfect lake house vacation

Our family and another family stayed at the house for a week and it went wonderfully. We truly felt like guests rather than renters. The house is stocked with everything you might need. There were even plenty of toys to entertain the 5 kids in our group (ages 4-11), although we spent most of our time on the lake (paddle boards, kayaks, etc.), eating meals on the deck, making s’mores, or soaking in the hot tub. We enjoyed several part or full day trips, including Sleeping Bear Dunes, Mackinac Island, Leland, and Grand Traverse Lighthouse, plus many local restaurants, wineries, and breweries (check out Hop Lot!). We’d be delighted to return to this same house again in the future.

Beautiful lake house perfect for families

My family stayed here for a long weekend getaway and it was perfect for us! The house is well appointed with everything you might need, including the bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen. We cooked almost every night and always found what we needed. All of the bathrooms had extra toiletries and plenty of extra towels. We loved how easy the hot tub was to open and close, since the kids wanted to use it daily! When we weren’t out exploring, the wifi in the house worked great. All of the beds were very comfortable and we had everything we might need including additional blankets and pillows. The location of this house is perfect if you plan to explore the area as well, short drives to Leland, Suttons Bay, Traverse City, and the dunes! We can’t wait to stay here again!

Beautiful Property

This home exceeded our expectations! So well appointed, we didn't need to bring a thing. Well stocked kitchen, with large fridge and dishwasher. Many bath towels, beach towels, paper products, shampoo, lotions, laundry & dish detergent, firewood, extra propane for the grill, this owner has thought of everything! Lots of toys, games and books for all ages. Beds were comfortable, neighborhood was quiet, beautiful lake setting. There are no sidewalks, however, and the speed limit in front of the house is 55 mph. There is a wide shoulder to walk on, and after a short distance, the speed limit drops to 25 mph. Ample parking in driveway - we never used the garage, simply parked all three vehicles abreast in the driveway. Any questions or concerns were quickly answered by the owner. Looking forward to renting this property again in the future.

Great Lake House

This home has everything you may need to enjoy a vacation at the lake. The house was very well appointed and stocked more items (coffee, pantry items, spices, paper/plastic goods, linens, throws, etc.) than any of our previous rentals. There were numerous outdoor seating areas that were great and the water toys/equipment were well organized and maintained in the shed at the lake. The firepit had ample seating and the host provided wood & kindling to make it easy & inviting to use.

Great Stay for Active Adult Group

4 cousin couples all in our 30s stayed for a family wedding. The property was fantastic for us to spend time together and reconnect with endless amounts of social spaces and more amenities than we even had time to use. The location was also perfect for our daily runs for marathon training and cycling to North Port and back! Perfect walking distance into town for every thing we needed. Note - the remote lawn mower is real! We stayed up one night to see it in action!

Fabulous Lake House

This beautiful lake house on stunning Lake Leland. This house exceeded all our expectations. It was stocked with amenities that made it really feel homey. We enjoyed the campfire area which had plenty of room for all of us. Took a few kayak rides, played pool, spent mornings enjoying coffee on the deck which had plenty of seating. After a couple of days of sight seeing, we were always happy to come back and settle in to an evening at Mike and Barb’ wonderful place.

This house had everything we needed - from the inside amenities like kitchen/cooking utensils and a plethora of towels to the outside activities like the firepit, kayaks and hot tub. This is a SIX Star Property

If I could give this property an extra star rating I would. This place exceeded every expectation we had. The lake is quiet and picturesque. The fact that the fire pit is far removed from the house makes sitting by the fire so much more pleasant when you don't hear the kids fighting in the background. The kitchen is fully stocked and there is plenty of space within the home to spread out and find peace and quiet. The kids enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle boards. It was great to see them put down their devices in favor of outdoor activities. Additionally, when I had questions on how to operate certain features of the home, Mike was quick to take my call and answer every question I had. If you a looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, this quiet lake house is the ideal vacation home for you.

Why they chose this property

We have been spending our vacations in northern Michigan for over twenty years and absolutely fell in love with the Leelanau peninsula. We wanted to spend more time in the area, so once we were retired we began looking for a home on a large inland lake for boating, while at the same time centrally located between Lake Michigan, Leland, Suttons Bay, Glen Arbor and Sleeping Bear Dunes national park. There's just something about this area that makes you want to keep coming back and is hard to leave.
