Amazing Place.... Amazing Location!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Awesome place to stay when visiting the Gippsland Lakes region. Amenities are modern and comfortable. The place is spacious (we had 6 adults) and it's fully connected for Netflix etc. Highly recommend to anyone planning a trip out this way :)

Lovely house, perfect for the family

The house was well presented, clean and comfortable. The bed linen was fresh, the beds comfortable, and everything we needed to cook, wash etc was provided. Was perfect for me and the family, would definitely recommend.

Cosy family holiday in Lakes

The house was very clean and nicely set up. The beds were comfortable and cosy. A few more mugs, glasses and tumbles would have been nice to have. Overall this property has topped our list of holiday destinations.

Be aware the double garage is not available for us, but there is parking on the drive which is ample. Has everything you need for a relaxing stay.

Property is good but not what it describes

It’s a good place but not clean enough also there’s no access to garage as well as a room which is locked, parking is hard cause garage is closed and can’t park on the street as it’s an 80km zone

Nice place for the price.

Nice place with comfortable beds and located in a quiet street. Unfortunately you wont be able to walk to town and there is no covered area to use in bad weather or hot sun. There is no use of the garage which is disappointing. I asked for early check-in and was confirmed 12 o'clock. When we arrived at 3 as we were running late the cleaner was not finished and would not be for another hour. After all that the floors were still not the best so i moped them again. Overall its a nice place just needs a pit more attention to detail.

Beautiful views

Unfortunately things didn't start out well. The property had not been cleaned & no one was answering our phone calls to the "emergency" number, so we were forced to stay elsewhere the first night. When we were finally able to go to the property the next day after having to call to follow up with Gippsland Escapes, the house was beautiful. It could do with more kitchen items (there were no baking trays & we had to buy teaspoons as only 3 were provided) & a 10 seater table would make more sense for a house that sleeps 9 (currently only a 6 seater table), but overall the house was great. The beds were comfortable & at night you can hear the waves from the back of the house. We have been disappointed with the response from the manager Kate at Gippsland Lakes Escapes who we feel has not been reasonable & completely honest with us about the situation on our first night, but hopefully this is not a regular occurrence as we basically lost a day of our holiday which she is not taking responsibility for.

Good for a few days stay

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cute little place for no more then a party of 6 people tops I'd say... Looks bigger in the photos.Kitchen is small but well equipped with dishwasher,airfryer, microwave and coffee machine that takes nespresso pods. 2 fridges which helped as the main one is small. Beds are unfortunately uncomfortable as experienced by all 7 of us. Tv remote doesn't work properly so a little extra time flicking channels. Ensuite and main bathroom are a good size. Bbq on deck which is great but theres no roof on the deck. Nice distant view of the beach and relaxing when you get a moment. New porter cot was provided which made life easier with a 4 hour drive. Host was accommodating with earlier check in and later check out which was helpful. Good communication by the host. If you're into reading they have a book shelf and also dvds for adults and kids.Take note: no dryer in the laundry.5 to 7 minutes drive from all the main things. (The esplanade, bullock Island etc)

A great house & well equipped.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Booked 3 nights & added one more while there. It's a great house with A/C in two bedrooms. Two good bathrooms. Large TV with YouTube etc & a good Yamaha audio system with subwoofer & DVD/CD player. Kitchen very functional with decent fridge/freezer & a second in the laundry. Kitchen very well equipped & all appliances top quality. Bed very comfy. Good quality linens & towels. Huge rear deck overlooking Bass Strait. Steep driveway if walking using a walking stick. A pity the lock-up dbl. garage is not available to renters. Vehicle remains in sun or rain. Suitcase stands would be appreciated - cheap to buy. Top quality, very comfortable, white leather 4 seater couch, but verrry low & hard for me to get up from - oldies beware!! Two armchairs were very good. Five minute drive from shops, pub & eateries, so a good location with a view. Not a cheap rental but worth the cost for such a good house - very homely.

Substandard cleanliness.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The minute we walked in the door, the smell hit us. We contacted Gippsland Escapes. They said they would have to see if they could get a cleaner. We searched for the smell and found prawn shells in the bottom of the rush washer and a filter that looked like it had never been cleaned. It went downhill from there. Everywhere we looked it was filthy. We had to keep chasing Gippsland Escapes to understand how they were going to rectify the filthy house. Which meant we had to wait at the property until they decided what they were going to do. Not once did they call us. We had to keep chasing. They finally sent a cleaner out very late that afternoon and we were asked to leave the property which we weren’t comfortable doing with all our belongings inside. Even after the cleaner left, we noticed a smell from the air conditioners and discovered the filters had never been cleaned. Not only is this disgusting, it is unsafe. Kitchen cupboards smelled. Bathroom exhausts had never been cleaned, washing machine filter was putrid. Photos available. We would not recommend Gippsland Escapes who treated us with complete distain. Even after cleaner left, they did not contact us to check that we were satisfied with the clean. We expected to walk into a clean property and instead we spent our holiday cleaning filth at every turn. We cannot recommend Gippsland Escapes due to their lack of care and concern and we definitely cannot recommend their properties.
