April 2025 Madeira Beach stay

The unit we stayed in was clean and comfortable. First floor units and building next door under construction caused noise and access issues however we enjoyed our stay and visit with friends.JD

This place was just what we needed. We were only in the room a small amount of time because the location to the beach was awesome! We enjoyed the walk ability to John’s Pass! Thanks Kathy

Quaint and Cozy!!

It was tiny but it was all we needed for 2 people for a week vacation on the beach. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and the appliances were new. The view was exactly what was described but we spent our days on the beach not on the balcony. We loved the location = close to Johns Pass and within easy walking or driving of restaurants and shopping. We will definitely consider staying at Surf Song again.

Unit is very small. Front view is of the parking lot & back view is of the roof. Balcony was shared with other renters, 2 of whom we're heavy smokers.

Not what we expected

We realize that the construction couldn't be helped. But during the entire stay and closed the pool 3 x's. Also refrigerator is too small for groceries in a long stay and doesn't work properly. It freezes the food even when temperature is turned down! The staff is nice.

Worked out great

Everything was great here, my only complaint was about the AC usage. It’s impossible to have it not below 76 or 74 to sleep comfortably. It wouldn’t have been as bad if there was a fan in the bedroom but without it, gets a bit stuffy. However everything else was just as I expected and would definitely recommend or attempt to stay again.

Perfect Little Getaway

This was a great location and a very suitable room. Everything was very clean and we had everything we needed with no issues. The bed was very comfortable, and it was nice to have what I needed to make some meals in the room. Some reviews mentioned an issue with the AC requirements. However, we brought an extra fan, left the ceiling fan in the kitchen running, and made sure we kept the curtain closed while we were gone, and we were quite comfortable whenever we were in the room. So don’t let those reviews keep you from missing out on this great location! The beach wasn’t too crowded, and you can easily walk across the street to St. John’s Pass which has a lot of variety in food, tours, and shops. There is a nice common area that we spent some time in to watch the sunset. It feels like we found a great spot, and we will be back in the future!

Perfect location and seamless check in

As a frequent visitor to Medeira Beach I knew what to expect. Unfortunately, the description of the property falls short. It states it sleeps 3 people with a bedroom and twin sleeper sofa in the living/kitchen area. Tge sofa was small 2 seater that doesn’t pull out into a sofa bed. I was travelling with my 86 year old mom who fortunately could fit on this sofa to sleep. If she had been taller it would have been impossible.

Short stay

Overall it was okay for a short stay and only a couple people. The bed was comfortable but I think there could be some better living room furniture I know it's small we just ended up going to bed.

Great Location

You can’t beat this location. Right across the street from John’s Pass, right on the gulf beach. This was such a great location. There are some quirks with being this close to John’s Pass but you are also right on the beach and that made it so nice.

Location location location

This condo was right in the heart of John’s Pass. Everything was in walking distance. It is short on amenities, and keeping the room at 76 as requested did not keep the room cool enough. We had to dig out the box fan in the closet. The pool temperature was perfect, it did not feel like bath water, very refreshing. Umbrellas by a few of the recliners in the pool area is needed. Overall it was a good experience.

Nice Weekend Beach Couples Getaway

Staying on the beach can get quite pricey. This is a nice place to get away and not break the bank. Located right across the street from John's Pass Village where there's shops and dining.

Location location location!

This place is perfect for a couple I would not recommend children as it’s quite small. My boyfriend and I came and stayed for the weekend for my birthday and it was perfect for just that! It’s located directly across from John’s Pass which was perfect for us and the beach is not forever away from the hotel like in other parts of this area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Convenient

Room was quite small but nice. One thing we didnt like was there was no restroom near the pool & you had to go back to your room everytime you needed to use the bathroom. Our neighbor even agreed that people were probably using the pool!

Wonderful pool and location

Loved staying at Surfsong just little old and not super clean. Pool big and clean. Right on beach. Need to powerwash balcony dirt where you put feet sitting on chairs. We loved our stay at Surfsong would come again.
