About Katy McBrayer
Sarasota is the charming city that I grew up in. My grandparents moved to the area in the 70's and had a bicycle store. After college, I traveled Europe for a year and used Airbnb to stay everywhere. I enjoyed the price, the local native tips/recommendations, the ability to get more out of my visits and supporting the locals. I decided I wanted to do the same thing when made it back to Sarasota and now I have! I absolutely love being a host - I am always open to getting together or dropping you somewhere on my way to an appt. I work from home and am always in and out. If I happen to be around and you're interested, I love to cook a big breakfast and share stories of travels. Just let me know what your interests are and I am here to guide you in the right direction. If you are thinking of moving here, I am very knowledgable on schools - having been educated in the area and on the board of a non-profit that works with teens. I am familiar with what areas are really doing well and which are pretty stable. The underlying culture of the city is changing a little for the better and there are a lot of new developments happening around town. Whatever you are interested in hearing more about, I can dish it out. Most importantly, I want everyone that comes to visit to get the best experience out of their travels and enjoy Sarasota as much as I do!

What makes this House unique
The benefits abound staying with someone who has been here forever and knows all the little secret gems - I am quite the foodie! I can also tell you about parking that most locals don''t even know about - I will drive by with a friend in the car that grew up in the area and point out hidden parking and they are amazed they never knew! I can tell you about upcoming annual events - like our Firehouse Chili Cookoff in October that is free - they shutdown Southside Village to traffic and have amazing live music, over 30 chili tastings and there are thousands of people young and old! There are always events going every single weekend - you just need to know which ones are worth going to. I will also let you know if you are traveling within Florida - where might be best to go before or after. I often have people book months or a year in advance and they are coming from overseas. In that case, maybe I will tell you to pass on one city and do another based on the time of year and your interests. I am very familiar with what goes on in the entire state, especially south Florida and the Gulf Coast. Another plus, I am a top ten Realtor and real estate investor in the area. So whether you are looking for a home or not, I know everything about all the neighborhoods from Lakewood Ranch to Venice. Many people come to visit because they just got a job here or are moving their family down because of our great schools and/or Bright Futures program. I can guide you in the right direction and/or give you a tour of the area based on the what you are hoping to find in your next home. Whatever your interests, I look forward to meeting you and hearing your story. We all have one and that's one of my favorite reasons for hosting. Positive vibes!
