Every family needs to experience a stay at the Prissy Gale! A classic 4 bedroom beach cottage in quiet South Nags Head, you will enjoy being located just a short distance to a direct beach access. Prissy Gale extends TWO fishing passes to the nearby Outer Banks Fishing Pier. On the pier, you will also find Fish Heads Bar and Grill, serving up delicious adult libations and food. The owner has provided a rolling outdoor beverage cooler as well to use while at the home instead of having to go back and forth between the kitchen!

Located in South Nags Head at mile post 17.5, this home is convenient to attractions such as the Outer Banks Pier, Jennette's Pier, Bodie Island Lighthouse, Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge and Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. Many local Outer Banks shops and restaurants are just a short drive away. Consider spending a day at nearby Roanoke Island where you can visit the North Carolina Aquarium, Elizabethan Gardens, Roanoke Festival Park, and catch a showing of The Lost Colony!

Nice house but couldn't get any one to fix toilet issue

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was very nice and in a good location. However despite notifying the management company several times of an issue with a toilet flushing handle being broken, no one came to fix it. Had to keep taking the lid off of the take all week in order to flush it.

Good Times at Prissy Gale

We loved our week at Prissy Gale - the house was beautifully decorated and We enjoyed our week at Prissy Gale very much. We loved the design of the house and the decor, and the entire house, especially the kitchen, was very well-equipped. It was conveniently located not only to the beach (a 3-minute walk), but also to restaurants and places of interest. Would definitely recommend it.

We had the best family vacation staying at the Prissy Gale!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Myself and 3 other adults stayed here in early june for a week at the beach! While the weather, location, and beach were perfect, the house was even better! We were so suprised with the updates and really enjoyed our stay! Our dog “hank” loved being here and made himself right at home! We were right in the middle of everything and honestly loved our stay. The ONLY thing i would have the least bit to complain about is the landscaping of the exterior was a little more sandy and unkept than I would have imagined but it is the beach! Other than that, everything was absolutely amazing and we will definitely coming back!

Bugs Cockroaches and Spiders

We arrived and noticed that we never received the code to be able to get into the box to get thr keys to get into the house. Then there were problems almost every day and the hotel managment was expecting us to work around their maintenance to have the problems addressed. We are on vacation...we are paying you to stay there. Then you need to work around us. There were earwigs so we slept with the lights on. There were spiders so we could not fully rest. The last morning there was a huge cockroach on the floor. The place did have a recent upgrade but looked like they through the upgrade together so it would look nicer but cheaply done. To top it off, we have to take our daughter to the daughter to the doctor tomorrow due to a rash that seems to gotten less since we have left the house.

A windy week in September

Either the locks need to be updated or something but we always had difficulty opening the door and especially the locked storage area where the laundry was. and honestly it is a pain to always make sure you had the key when going out to the beach or whatever.

Great house! Bigget than the images show

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented Prissy Gale for the first week of Aug, 2023. There were 7 adults and 2 large dogs. Observations:Based on the images, I was very concerned that the house would be too small. The proved to be a non-issue. There was plenty for space everyone, and the outside shower was great because it took bathing out of the house.Contents: My experience with vacation rentals late in the season has been the contents (plates, glasses, cookware etc.) have been severely depleted. The opposite was true. it was clear that the owners have made great efforts to have everything needed regardless of what it is and of high quality. It came with a Weber charcoal grill (and even the charcoal) as well as a gas grill. There was any type of glass, container, appliance imaginable. The furniture was clean and functional. There was nothing we wished we had that wasn't there.Beach Access: The beach is about 1/2 block away, and the access ramp was covered with material for slippage and heat. The beach was great, and the dogs entertained the crowds with tennis balls.This is not one of the high end palaces in Duck, but it is a clean, functional, well appointed beach house right next to the beach. You will not be disappointed.

The house itself was super clean and ready for our arrival. It was absolutely awesome they are so dog friendly and even provided a portable water bowl and extra foggy bags for when we walked the dogs. Great neighborhood all around as well! Highly recommend Prissy Gail for your stay.

With 2 queen beds and 4 twins, we had flexibility for our crew. Clean and well stocked with coffee pots and cookware.Only wish one of the 2 bathrooms had a walk in shower for my mother-in-law.

Cozy and friendly.

The house was clean, and very homey feel. We loved our stay and would highly consider this house again next vacation. Only down size is we saw one live cockroach in kitchen and one large dead roach in bedroom when we arrived. All in all 4/5 stars for me! Thanks. :)

Very good beach vacation

Literally a few yards from beach access, and a short distance south of the main road to Nags Head, keeping you close to all the restaurants and stores while separating you from crowds and a lot of traffic. The house was clean and well appointed, with good appliances, dishes, glassware and flatware. The layout was great - one level, two rooms with Queen bed and two with twins.Very responsive to questions via text. We relaxed, walked on the beach, ate out and cooked in, explored the National Seashore & Jockey Ridge, and sunset cruise out of Pirates Cove Marina
