Get a 'wave' from it all! Come stay at our adorable family friendly summer house, located in beautiful Narragansett, RI Close to all of the best state beaches. Booking now for Summer 2026!

Our house has 3 queen bedrooms and a bathroom. Each bedroom and the living room has wall-mounted large, flat screen TVs, each with access to streaming services and cable in the summer. The living room also has a DVD player (we have a selection or BYO!). The house also has high speed wifi. Please note: we do not provide linens (sheets and towels) with our rental, but can be available to rent for an additional fee. Please contact me if you are interested.

Our recently renovated kitchen is fully stocked with all the amenities! It has a full sized refrigerator, gas stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, and blender. It also has plenty of pots and pans, serving dishes, various kitchen utensils, as well as dishes and silverware.

The bathroom has a full sized shower and full tub and houses the full sized washer and dryer. We provide laundry detergent, but ask that you not use fabric softener in the washer or dryer sheets in the dryer.

We supply ALL paper products for your entire stay (not just a starter kit) and also leave a selection of pantry staples like oil, salt/pepper and some common spices.

Our house is great for families! It's located close to a neighborhood playground, tennis and basketball courts and a baseball field. We provide kid-friendly games and toys for your use during your stay. We are just a short walk or quick drive to Scarborough State Beach, a short drive to the kid/family friendly Roger Wheeler State Beach or Narragansett Town Beach. Consider purchasing a state beach parking pass that can be used at all

The house has central A/C for your sleeping comfort after a hot day at the beach. There's a great backyard for kids to play while you cook dinner or grill on the backyard gas BBQ grill. The deck has a table, chairs and a large umbrella for relaxing. There's also a great fire pit: great for relaxing after a long day of fun in the sun!

The outdoor shower has both hot and cold water; great for washing away the sand from a day at the beach.

Drop in your kayak, go quahoging or watch the gorgeous sunsets over Salt Pond, just down the street.

Our house has an open concept living room, kitchen and dining room.

Sunset Farms, located just down the street, is a great spot to pick up local meats and produce for the grill, as well as firewood for our backyard fire pit.

The farmer’s market at Fisherman’s Memorial Campground on Sundays is another great resource for local produce, meat, eggs and other handmade local goodies.

The Narragansett Pier has an excellent group of shops and restaurants. Nana’s Ice Cream and Celeste restaurant are personal favorites!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was clean and cozy. The kitchen was well stocked. Quiet neighborhood with a great back yard. Plenty of room to park more than one vehicle. We really appreciated lots of empty cabinet space in the kitchen for our own supplies. Lovely home!

Lovely beach house

We loved our stay here and the house had everything we needed. It was handy to have a coffee shop and diner nearby and you can even walk to the beach. We will definitely come back to the area.

What a lovely cottage to spread out, relax and enjoy! Inside is light with brilliant sunshine. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to enjoy packing up for the day at the beach or cooking fresh local seafood for dinner. The outside patio has a grill and a great seating for dining. Most evenings, we enjoyed sitting by the fire. This is our second stay and we look forward to returning to this sweet, peaceful place. Summer Girls Getaway

The spacious house was full of natural light, well equipped and very comfortable. Our hosts were great! They were easy to communicate with and very accommodating. After a day of sun and swim, the home has a lovely outdoor patio space to shower, dine and later relax by the fire stove. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to a return trip!

The home had everything we wanted.

We really enjoyed our stay in this home. It had central air, celing fans in all the bedrooms., also tvs in all the bedrooms. It also had updated bathroom with new washer and dryer. Wonderful stay!

We loved this house! The house is clean and cozy and was perfect for our family of four. Our kids (2 and 5) loved having a tv in the bedrooms and the toys/books that Megan left were an added bonus! We packed up a wagon to pull our beach stuff and the kids and we’re able to walk to Scarborough beach which we visited several times. The location is great for exploring the area too! We drove into Newport a couple of times and over to mystic, ct. Did an afternoon in watch hill RI, it was cute with little shops, lighthouse, and an old merry go round. Our kids loved Adventureland that was right down the road and the moo moo ice cream shop. We placed a pick up order for groceries at stop and shop on the way down and had everything in the house we needed for cooking in. The area is beautiful and we hope to come back, would definitely recommend Megan’s house!

The house was charming, spotless, and just what we needed for the weekend. We were here for the URI graduation and the house was exactly what we needed for my husband and I, my mother, my sister, and my son. The porch was a lovely place to eat breakfast, drink coffee in the sunshine. Some things we missed were kitchen towels/ pot holders/ a corkscrew. The step out to the back porch is very high. There should be another step. There was a nice grill provided, but the cap of the propane tank was impossible to open. Seemed like it was rusted shut. The bedrooms were great. I knew I had to bring sheets, but I was told that blankets would be provided. We found no blankets, just the bedspread on each bed. So the nights were chilly. I was hoping there would be instructions for the tv in the living room. We couldn't figure it out. Other than these small things (which are easy fixes) this house was the perfect place for us. Also, the owners were available to contact any time we had a question. They live very close by if you need anything. I had the pleasure of meeting Megan and her adorable family, and they were so lovely, so accommodating. We could check in early and check out late. We would absolutely go back!!! I really hated to leave. Thanks, Megan!

My husband and I are Rhode Islanders: I was born and raised here; my husband went to URI and never went home. Loving Narragansett so much, we decided to settle down here to raise our family and are happy to call this great town our hometown!

Why they chose this property

We have owned this home for many years; we called it 'home' for many years before starting a family. My children have enjoyed vacationing at 'the Durkin house' (as they call it) and we have loved building fond summer memories with them there. Narragansett is a wonderful town for summer vacations, with its many beaches, playgrounds, parks and festivals.

What makes this property unique

The house is a perfect getaway from wherever you may come from. It's close to the beach, but can also be a great place to relax, whether in the backyard or on the cozy couch with a cold drink, just knowing you're near the beach. We hope you enjoy this home as much as we do!
