Come enjoy this unique condo tucked away in the trees of Tryon Farms. Enjoy biking, hiking and relaxing on the farm, while only being 10 minutes from the shores of Lake Michigan and some of the best beaches around! With the condo being located sixty minutes from Chicago it is great for a weekend getaway. The local area is home to many great restaurants and breweries.

Located in Tryon Farms just a few short miles from the beaches of Lake Michigan, down the road from a winery and with many walking paths.

Door code and lockbox

Bedroom upstairs, must climb a ladder or outside staircase to access bedroom. Bathroom is on the main level. Not suitable for children.

Close to hwy 94 and the South Shore train station for easy commute.

Prior to your stay, we require you to complete a pre-arrival form, upload a valid government ID (drivers license, passport, state ID) and sign and agree to our rental conditions.
Any basic need items that have been provided at the home are complimentary to get your stay started, any additional needs will be provided by the guest.

The place was great, there is a large ladder and I can’t express that enough, but very funny getting around that way. Thanks for the stay we will be back in the summer.

The location was perfect for us as a stop between Valparaiso and Chicago. I hiked the trails every day through woods and meadows, and saw deer during every hike. It's a great location for visiting the numerous breweries and vineyards. Be aware that there is no bathroom upstairs, so plan carefully for midnight bio breaks. Seating is limited and somewhat uncomfortable.

Nice weekend getaway

The apartment was beautiful and had every we needed. The air conditioning was great, which was a relief given the weather. The bedroom was comfortable and everything was orderly and easy to use.

Condo was lovely, felt really secluded and the outside decks were great to sit and sunbathe and then watch the stars.Kitchen had everything you needed (bring creamer for the provided coffee though) and we loved how many windows there were - making it so light and airy.It would have been even better if there had been more pillows. Only one small pillow each was not great

Lovely, quiet, and relaxing

My wife and I wanted a quiet place to stay while exploring the dunes. It turns out that Tryon Farms is nearly as beautiful as the dunes and we enjoyed hiking the grounds very much. We also enjoyed the lack of noise and light pollution! Are host was very accessible and accommodating! Highly recommended.

Unique stay

Interesting, clean, bright and airy. A unique place to stay. We also enjoyed the winery right down the road. The ladder and outside steps up to the bedroom were an inconvenience, especially for older folks like us and given the rain.

Lovely property! The loft bedroom was very charming, and we loved the deck up there as well as the small dining porch off the living room level. But there were some minor problems - doors that were difficult to lock, a record player that we couldn’t get to work, and a couch that wasn’t very comfortable for hanging out in front of the television. And we had to call the property manager for the WiFi password. For what we paid, I personally feel like these issues shouldn’t have to be issues.

Peaceful

The farm is about 8 miles away from new buffalo where we spent most our time so the drive wasnt bad to and from for activites. The location was peaceful and quiet. The place was very clean and provided everything we needed. The owner was very easy to get a hold of if I needed to communicate. Easy access to a lock a box for the keys. We enjoyed our stay 🙂

The condo at Tryon Farms is outstanding. I highly recommend this rental to anyone visiting Michigan City or the surrounding area. The condo includes countless little touches that truly make it feel like home. Meghan is ultra-responsive to questions.

Was cozy but a lot of steps. Ladder to go to bedroom or outside steps. No bathroom on floor of bedroom. Definitely not good for anyone with knee issues. Suggestions: tv and bathroom on floor with the bedroom.

Overnight Stay/Maintenance Issues

My husband and I got away for the night. I booked this for us. When we arrived, check-in was easy. Overall the stay was great, but there are several maintenance issues that need to be addressed. The condo has a ladybug issue. They are on the floors, and crawling around the windows. The windows are rotting out in places and some don't even shut properly. We needed to remove a screen and pull one shut and even then it still was open some. It was a very cold day, so we didn't want windows open. On the upstairs window by the ladder, there is no blind, so privacy felt like and issue. We put a blanket over the window as much as we could, so neighbors couldn't see in. When using some of the dishes in the morning, some felt rather sticky and looked unclean. We enjoyed the property, but wouldn't stay in this particular condo again.
