Kid-friendly Michiana cottage! Summer dates open - including 4th of July!

Plan your stay at our new home, a great 3 bedroom, 2-bath cottage in Michiana. Set in a secluded area between New Buffalo and Michigan City, this house is close to all the region has to offer including restaurants, beaches, Indiana Dunes National Park, beer and wine tasting, and lots of kid-friendly activities. Home is clean and modern (constructed in 2022), is still comfortable and kid friendly.

This cottage has an open layout with all bedrooms and baths on one-level. The Master Bedroom is en-suite with a King Bed and walk-in shower, and opens into a large screened porch. The other two bedrooms have Queen Beds and share a bathroom with a bathtub/shower combo. Kitchen, Dining, and Living Room are all open concept, with lots of seating options. There is also a back patio with grill and fire pit, as well as open yard space, so plenty of options to enjoy the outdoors!

The cottage is about 1 from Lake Michigan, which is great for a nice stroll through the wooded area, often spotting deer and other animals. There is beach access available about 1 mile walking (10-15 mins walk), and we provide beach gear and a wagon to help haul any gear. We are also walking distance to two parks that offer playgrounds and tennis/pickleball courts. The cottage is about equal distance between Michigan City and New Buffalo, but on the Indiana side of the state line (central time zone).

If you are planning a multi-family trip, this house is next door to Property #2087945 which is a very similar new cottage so great for two families to be together but still have a bit of privacy!

We just returned home for our 5 day stay. This property was absolutely wonderful. So clean. We loved the the decor. The beds were so comfortable and everything was so clean and neat. The house itself was so cozy. Our host was so helpful, I had a few questions and she retunred my text within minutes. We definitelywill try to stay there again. Yes, the kitchen was stocked! We used utensils. Dishes. We swept up a couple of times.We slept like rocks. And the bed was ok. But I think it could use a turn over. Or Replacing. It seemed well-used.. we slept but if we rolled over to see partners computer, I was stopped by the mountain of mattress in the middle. We loved the location, as Iwas there to try my friend's resturaunt, the Hummingbird Lounge.

Myself and two friends were coming up for a weekend of exploring and riding in the Apple Cider Century. This was the perfect home base for our activities! The home was clean, the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware, and we loved relaxing on the screened porch in the morning. It was a short walk through an absolutely beautiful park-like wooded neighborhood to get to the beach, which we loved!

The property was just fantastic beautiful house plenty of room. The host Mandy was fantastic with communications being accommodating for us. The house was about a 15-20 min walk to beach and just overall beautiful. We had a great family trip. House is also stocked with all you need for beach and just to relax. Looking forward to next trip already!

Cute house, not ideal for beach

The house was cute and functional. I was disappointed in the distance from the lake, it was much farther than it seemed in the listing. I was also surprised at the shortage of paper goods (TP/PT). If I had known there would not be enough toilet paper for our duration I would have brought some from home instead of having to run to the store.

The house was perfect for 2 adults and kids ages 14-12-10. Well equipped. Close to great beaches or shopping.wi fi worked well and house address easy to find on Waze or Google maps.

EVEN BETTER THAN EXPECTED!

This space is even better in person! My husband and I agreed that we’d never seen a rental as squeaky clean as this one was. Aside from the incredible cleanliness, the decor and natural-lighting in the home made us feel so welcome and comfortable. The location of the home was convenient to all we wanted to experience, yet with a private feel. The neighborhood was perfect for morning walks and the back patio was ideal for peaceful evenings with several deer sightings. The beach gear that the hosts provided was such a nice perk for beach days with our children. We will definitely stay here again!

Michigan City Weekend Getaway

The house was absolutely perfect for us for a weekend getaway. It was my wife and I plus our daughter and husband, plus their 3- & 5-year-old. The house had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. We cooked breakfast each morning before we headed out to the beach. It so clean and very refreshingly decorated. The location was perfect as we could walk to one of the beaches plus the Pizza Stop 50 was really neat and walking distance as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing House for Family Vacation

This house is new and so beautiful. It’s stocked with more basics than anywhere we’ve ever stayed before. The rooms are spacious, the street is quiet, the screened in porch was wonderful for enjoying the weather away from the bugs. The house is a short walking distance to a wonderful private beach, where we spent most of our time. Our kids loved playing at the park that was only a few minutes to walk to. We also enjoyed so many restaurants that were all within 5-10 minutes of the house. We will definitely be back.

I grew up in Michigan City, and my family runs a building company in the area, so there is a lot of love and family effort that went into every stage of building this home. We are parents to twin girls, who are three years old. We stay at this house when we visit, and can confirm that it is a great space for families!

This property offers a great convenient location - an easy drive to attractions in both Michigan City and New Buffalo. The house is brand new, and has a serene interior. And we love the retreat feel of being in a wooded neighborhood where you can go on nice walks, by the beach or through the forest.
