We've lived here and this is what appeals to us:
Peaceful, quiet, birdlife, and only 2 km to town, which is easily walkable through the Matha Mine Pit Rim. There is an acre of land with a horse that lives in the paddock. He loves carrots and bread!
Waihi Beach 12 minutes away. 10km of white, sandy beach plus Anzac Bay, Whiritoa Beach, fishing, kayaking, walking, tennis.
Copious amounts of cycle trails and walking trails.
Plus restaurants galore, the Boating Club has a courtesy van as does the Beach RSA so transport solved for those who want a few drinks.

Relaxing stay

Spent a week in this slice of paradise, had every thing we needed well equipped kitchen a nice, spacious batch. Enjoyed have a horse and chicken just outside. An easy walk to the main street for lunch and shopping.

Fantastic country retreat

The property is absolutely beautiful, comfortable and relaxed. Karen is an amazing friendly host, so easy to talk with. Absolutely enjoyed staying here, we highly recommend others to stay here.

Roomy house, close to town.

Spacious and comfortable two bedroom property. Good furniture and excellent kitchen. Quiet location with plenty of parking space. There are chickens around and a friendly horse. Our nine year old granddaughter had a great time. The people who look after the horse are friendly and engaging. I highly recommend this property.

Lovely place, well managed and maintained

Lovely place for our family of 4, one large bedroom where we put the kids (one on bed and other on an air bed we took) and us in the other room, worked really well. Was lovely being so quiet, relaxed and having a horse, California quails, bunnies and chickens visit nearby. Excellent communication, highly recommend!

Charismatic, Clean and Charming

Such a great place to stay. Away from the city but close enough for all you need! Amazing facilities, easy to use and great paintings which brings a lot of character to the property. The hosts, Karen and Andrew are great in communicating. Made the check in and out process so easy. We were also greeted with a steer and two pigs which added a bit of character to the yard.

New Zealand family visit

Thanks to Karen! Checkin was easy and Karen popped around to orientate us first day. Fulfilled our request before we arrived and we used the BBQ to the fullest. Loved the home and location, quiet, beautiful yard with fruit trees. We enjoyed the rooster & chickens as entertainment. Only thing as we had extended stay & did fix a few meals found that the kitchen could have used a few more essential, like a measuring cup, few serving bowls. The natural light was wonderful! Bed was comfortable, shower was great!

A Great Stay.

Thank you for having us. The house was close to town and really enjoyed the animals in the paddock. Nice and clean. Karen I forgot to mention that I had washed the bedding in bedroom 2. I had to get back to Auckland on Sunday evening but fiances parents stayed on. I will send out my recommendations. Thanks again.
