Great place at the Lake

I was a perfect getaway. The lake was beautiful everyday and the kayaks were an awesome bonus. The house had everything we needed to feel at home. I'd love to stay again when we're in the area.

Wedding

Two couples were in town for a wedding… house was comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay here again. Love the view out back overlooking the lake.

Wonderful VRBO

Very nice house. Pictures are accurate. Clean, very attractive inside and very easy to enjoy peace and quiet. We also had a daily visit of a Sandhill Crane. He/she would preen itself right outside of our window. House was well taken care of and the owner was very accommodating. Would definitely stay there again when in the area.

Leesburg bike Weekend

We been there for 2 nights. Everything was nice & clean except - patio aria , floor was dirty / trash full from previous people bbq We did enjoy the quiet area. Beautiful view .

Family trip

We booked this house near the Villages while visiting family in Central Florida. We were comfortably accommodated and enjoyed having living space and kitchen facilities (rather than Hotel rooms) for our visit. The house is older but has been updated. Easy parking, beautiful view, comfortable beds. Living space has some changes in floor height....not ideal for people with mobility/balance issues.

Sunny lakeside retreat

It was mostly good. Upon arrival I had to contact the host for more toilet paper (half roll left in one bathroom). Quickly solved. Host very responsive. Location is lovely, home is clean, comfortable and well provisioned (with the one exception above). Beds are REALLY comfortable! HVAC system kept us warm during the recent cold snap. We would reserve this property again when visiting family in the area.

Very clean, spectacular view

The property was very clean and the property manager was quick to respond to any questions or needs. The view of the lake was fantastic with plenty of outdoor chairs for our group. I really appreciated the outdoor safety lights that came on automatically when we arrived after dark. The only negative in our stay was that the cabinet door in the kitchen was not secured and came off the hinges, falling on my daughter and leaving a nasty bruise on her shoulder.

Cozy lake view

Older home that was very nicely remodeled. All furnishings were cozy and comfortable. The provided kayaks were a nice touch. Waterfront made it nice for daily fishing trips. Provided some fishing gear, but dont expect to catch a lot from shore. Bigger boats can pull up to shore/dock. We saw no less than 6 bird species including nesting geese. Had all necessary kitchen items. Loved sitting on converted porch looking out the windows.

Door difficulties

The electronic door code didn’t work and because of our late arrival, it took an extended amount of time to access the house. The property management company eventually reached the owner who provided an access code. The next morning the owner was able to fix the glitch and the rest of our stay was perfect. Beautiful home!

Nice, clean, small house

This was our first trip to Lake Weir. We enjoued our stay. The house was clean and up to date. Nice to have 3 kayaks available for guest use. Easy, quick, keyless access into home. Great communication with host! Only improvements I would recommend is AC improvement, as it struggled with the summer heat, the yard could've used a mowing, and possibly clean up some lily pads around the bank area to have more room to park a boat. Overall, a nice, small house and would definately go back and recommend to others.

Owner's Response: I’m glad you enjoyed your stay, and appreciate the feedback. We have added another AC unit to the home to help keep it cool in the summer months and although we have stayed on top of the AC maintenance with upgrades to it over the years, it has been a record-hot summer with heat indexes of 105-115 and temperatures of 103 and above. Adding the additional unit makes a big difference but it's important to note that most residential units (according to HVAC companies) only cool to around 20-25 degrees from the outside temperature. Thanks for staying and we appreciate your recommendations.

Lakeview house

Nice view. Clean house. living room furniture not set up to watch tv and not very comfortable. Very little toilet paper provided. (Half rolls) Functional kitchen. But overall it was close to the Villages which was well suited for our needs Great communication with host after payment.

Nice place!

This home is Located on bird island right on wier lake. It is a bird sanctuary… Lots of birds to watch and see.. we followed a couple of sand hill, cranes walking down the street.. The home look like it was just newly decorated… Very nice and clean & stocked well. the host was easily to get a hold of and responded quickly. They had some kayaks available… We took them out one afternoon… It was a lot of fun. Also nice just to relax in the patio chairs drink a cup of coffee and just watch the boaters & birds. We took a walk around the quiet neighborhood…very enjoyable. We stayed here while visiting the villages… It’s approximately 20 minutes from the villages. Great place to stay if you want peace & quiet.

Wonderful port in a storm

A lovely, well-kept home on an absolutely gorgeous lakeside setting. We were there to sort the affairs of my wife’s mother, who died on the day we arrived from the Chicago area. The peacefulness and natural beauty of the area was a balm to us after long days of difficult work. Our only issue occurred when we contacted the property manager to request extending our stay. He said he was unable and that we had to book through the website (which denied the extension because of a 2-night minimum policy). Fortunately, an Evolve representative, Leah, was able to solve the problem so we didn’t have to move to a motel for our final night in the area. Regardless, my wife, disabled son and I absolutely loved the place — it really was the perfect port in a storm, even though the weather was beautiful every day!
