This 4 season, 4 bedroom, pet friendly, waterfront cottage is located on the Ausauble River just minutes from Grand Bend and the Pinery Conservation Area.
***Offers NO CLEANING FEES***
Close to several beaches, restaurants and pubs. Bring your own watercraft and easily dock it for your stay as the free private boat launch is adjacent to the property. Take a relaxing stroll down the river into the open waters of Lake Huron. Excellent fishing and boating opportunities. (kayaks and canoe on site) Spend some time hiking on the trails in the Pinery Conservation or checking out the many stores and restaurants in Grand Bend. Retreat to the back yard for an evening fire and s'mores while watching one of your favourite movies on the large outdoor screen.
Walkouts to 3 large decks for kicking back to relax, read a book, sunbathe or BBQ and enjoy a meal outside.
An additional deck located near the river, great for morning coffees, evening cocktails and watching wildlife, boats and canoes go by.
In the colder months enjoy cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, or ice fishing then retreat to the main floor area furnished with a large bar, gas fireplace, and TV.
Great for watching the big game or partnering up for a game of darts.
The main living space on the upper floor is open concept with the kitchen overlooking the living area with a walkout to the front upper deck.

We enjoyed a quick winter getaway with our family and dog...Fantastic location (close to the Pinery) and lots of space with all the finishing touches like games and dart board to make a great, memorable family getaway. Fun Family Vacation

The property exterior was great for yard games, camp fires, and dock fishing. The cottage had plenty of space for our family(4adults/5kids). The area was great for close proximity day trips to the beach and other attractions. The cottage was stocked with all necessities and communication was prompt when needed.

Winter's hidden jewel. The cottage is found in an ideal location along a river in a small community of maybe a few dozen other properties. It's fully winterized with great included ammenities and just a short 8 minute drive to the Pinery National park. If you're looking for a relaxing get away and just want to stay cozy indoors the cottage has many fun activities from board gams, to darts to great entertainment. Or if you like, a walk or cross country ski through the woods of the Pinary is just minutes away by car. Trudy the host was proactive by communicating details ahead of our stay. All our needs were met and then some. The cottage & property is beautiful. Next time we are considering a summer or winter getaway I hope that Trudy's cottage will be available. Thanks Trudy for a great get away!

Grand Bend/Pinery Provincial Park Vacation

Very roomy cottage with lots of room 3 plus families. Great yard with lots of room for outdoor activities. Very close to the town of Grand Bend for dining as well as the beach. Our group preferred the "Dog Beach" at the Pinery since my daughters brought their dogs. The Pinery Provincial Park is also a very scenic park with a great beach!

Lovely home away from home

The cottage was very clean, comfortable and homey. It was just a short drive to hiking trails and the beach as well as Grand Bend shops. We enjoyed our stay. Our only concern was not having handy contact information for our hosts in case of emergency.

Another Great Stay

We had stayed here in the winter for a hockey tournament and loved the place so we decided to book for our few days in the summer.Trudy is a great host and aims to please. The location is quiet and kept nicely, out in the country which we prefer as we are country folk as well. Next time we are in the area winter or summer this is the place we will be booking. Everything was good except for two things.The mattresses could use updating on some beds and the stairs leading to the dock needs handrails.

Nice place but no hot tub

This was a nice place but there isn’t a hot tub like the listing says. Still, it’s nice to spot if you want easy access to the Pinery. We definitely want to come back during cross country ski season.

Weekend getaway

A hidden gem. Great cottage in a quiet neighbourhood. Really enjoyed canoeing on the river and hanging out in the nice backyard. It rained saturday night so we couldnt have a fire. But the living room was very spacious so we had a fun game night. Exactly as the listing shows. Thanks for the hospitality!

Summer weekend getaway

Great location and amenities. Lots of space inside and outside to relax and enjoy, and close location to Pinery. Very quiet and peaceful, surrounded by mature trees. Hosts were very responsive and even provided firewood, which was a nice touch. We did not end up using the river, kayaks or canoes, but if you have a motorized watercraft there is a dock and adjacent boat launch. Only issue is for people with mobility concerns, elderly and small children the staircase is quite steep. Overall a great stay at this property and would gladly return.
