Looking for the perfect beach break close to everywhere you want to be? The Assateague Inn is a long time favorite of Chincoteague Island Lovers, and sits less than 5 minutes from the Beach! Assateague National Seashore is one of the most visited beaches in America - after a visit, you will understand why! Home of our famous Wild Ponies, our pristine beaches have something for everyone.

Assateague Inn 103 has been recently renovated and has gorgeous new LVP Flooring, and is located conveniently on the 1st Floor. Allowing Short Stays all year long, it’s perfect for a couple of nights or a couple of weeks!

This Suite has a Private Bedroom with queen size bed, and a separate living room with queen sleeper sofa. There is also a spacious Full Bath, and a Kitchenette fully equipped with cookware and dishes, an oven and 2 burner stove top, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster and eating area. With occupancy of 4, you’ll love relaxing in the AC and enjoying Flat Screen TV after a day at the Beach. Or wander down to the Community Pier to take in gorgeous Views, or try your hand at fishing and crabbing! Take a dip in the seasonal Outdoor Pool and catch some rays!

The Inn is located directly on Eel Creek, and is a great spot for Crabbing, or simply taking in the Herons and Egrets fishing for their morning meals. Located just off of Maddox Boulevard - aka the Beach Road - you're only a short bike or car ride from Mini Golf, Dining, and of course, Assateague National Seashore! When you're not enjoying playing on the waterfront, relax on the huge landscaped greens with plenty of Picnic Tables and Barbecue Stations to cook up the Fresh Catch of the Day.

The property and room were clean and neat. The facility and rooms are older, but all was functional and clean. Very communicative and easy and clear check in and out process!

i was under the impression i could fish and crab from the back dock( was not the case) like the ad saidyou can not use the oven because there was no oven pansbedroom was hot (no a/c in bedroom)could not use the microwave oven smelled like electrical short in it

Hi James! Guests are more than welcome to crab from the back dock at the Inn! Unfortunately, fishing isn't an option at the Inn. We don't have this listen as an option in our listing, but apologize for any confusion! The suite's pans are located in the cabinets in the kitchenette, but we'll be sure to have our inspectors check those and the microwave out to make sure they don't need to be replaced. We hope you were still able to enjoy your time on the island! Best, Tim

A Pleasant Weekend Getaway

Check in and parking was easy and straight forward, The room was clean and cool. Everything was comfy, quiet, private and worked as expected. It is centered on the island and an easy walk to most of the attractions. A nice private retreat in the middle of a classic Virginia ocean side community. Bring your bikes an you won't need a car while your there.

Needs Work

Our unit was well priced, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Additionally, the location is superb, within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. Why then, oh why, were other things so neglected? 1. The unit had not been thoroughly cleaned when we arrived. Floors and chairs were dirty. 2. Although there was a sign in the bathroom that emphatically stated we needed to use the fan when showering or else the smoke alarms would go off, the fan didn’t work. Maintenance came to look at it and said it needs a new motor - but they didn’t fix it. They said the owner has to do that. 3. There was no pamphlet in the unit to explain how to work the heater/air conditioner. We had to ask our neighbors how to turn it on. 4. The bathroom needs some serious updating. It is old and either may be dirty or just look dirty due to age. 5. The table and chairs looked like they were from the 1950s. Also looked dirty because of age. 6. There is what appears to be a pee stain on the couch. And by the way, it is not the same couch as in the picture above. The table and chairs aren’t the same, either. 7. Men in trucks began work at 5:30 am, right next to our complex. Communication was great before we arrived, but not so much after. I called right away about the cleanliness issue, but they didn’t get back to me until I texted them again the next day. Also, Seaside Vacations didn’t seem all that apologetic about what had happened.
