Located on Marsh Island, you'll have amazing Views of both Black Narrows Channel, the Causeway, and the Chincoteague Channel. Perfect for a Romantic Getaway, you'll have all the makings of a fabulous Chincoteague Island Vacation Experience! Let us help you experience our Island Paradise by living like a Local.....

As you take the exit for Marsh Island from the Causeway, you'll feel like you're pulling onto your own private island. With only a handful of homes here, you'll love the peace and quiet. All the festivities of Chincoteague Island are mere steps away, but you return to the sweet serenity that only Marsh Island offers. This tiny Island was formerly a Harbor for Commercial Fishermen that was converted to Waterfront Homes. An adorable Efficiency Condo that has had many updates, you will experience Views that are simply stunning - 360 degrees of Waterfront Views of the Chincoteague Channel, Historic Main Street, the Bay, Marsh, and of course THE most incredible Sunsets to be found. 

Lover's Lane has all you need for a wonderful Eastern Shore Getaway, plus the Views and Charm that you just won't find staying at a Hotel. Being an End-Unit, Lover's Lane offers serenity and privacy. You won't want to leave the fabulous Screened Porch that is so close to the water, you feel as if you can touch it! There is a comfy Sofa and Sitting Area with Table and Chairs. You'll love relaxing with your morning coffee here, while watching the Herons and Egrets fish for their morning meal. If you're really lucky, you'll get to watch some of our Local Watermen harvesting Oysters - one of our favorite sights in the world. The Kitchenette is adjacent to the Living Area, and has gorgeous Tile Floors and everything you need to make mealtime a Bay Breeze. Very well-stocked, there is a Refrigerator with Freezer, Microwave Oven, 2 Burner Cooktop, Coffee Pot, and much more. There is also a wonderful Shared Sun Deck with amazing Views - you'll love relaxing here with a glass of wine as you take in one of our famous Chincoteague Sunsets. 

The spacious Sleeping Area has a comfy Queen Bed you'll love sinking into at the end of the day. Tastefully updated and decorated, there is also a Flat Screen Cable TV for watching movies on the DVD or catching some Local News. The Master Bath is lovingly decorated with a Coastal Flair and has a Tub/Shower Combo. In the downstairs Utility Room, there is a shared, free Laundry Facility for your use.

Let's get to what you are really here for - the great Eastern Shore Outdoors! Lover's Lane offers a wonderful Waterfront Dock. Fish, Crab, launch a kayak, or tie up your small Skiff! The waters surrounding Marsh Island are shallow and calm - and there is so much to explore, from Oyster Beds to Flounder Fishing! There is also a phenomenal Sun Deck for catching some rays - or enjoy some of our Local Crabs at the Picnic Table overlooking the water, one of our favorite pastimes here on the Eastern Shore. Whatever your pleasure, you're sure to find it here in Paradise!

*Please note- Lover's Lane does NOT have WiFi. Sunroom does NOT have Central AC/Heat so can be chilly in the off-season. There is a Space Heater available.

This was a great little place. Being a kitchenette, it was small and had limited utensils. The bed was not very firm, which was fine for me, but uncomfortable for my partner. I would recommend bringing your own pillows as theirs are pretty flat.

Furnishings and carpet were a bit worn but clean. The porch is absolutely fantastic. Location is excellent. Very quick responses to any messages that were sent to the host. We brought our own kayaks and electric assist bikes and had an absolutely wonderful stay.

Property location was good. Roof leaks on the porch. The Porch is the MAIN draw to this location. The rest of the place was adequate.

We enjoyed our stay at the location on Marsh Island however there were some issues for a mixed review rating of 3 - 4. We loved the little deck (5) /breakfast nook with floor to ceiling windows looking out onto the surrounding water, and for viewing the sunsets, despite the bridges nearby and sound of traffic if sliding doors were open. We found the rental small for two people but manageable. The half kitchen with so limited with counter space (which is hard to tell from the pictures) it was not easy to really do any cooking and required a lot of juggling because you couldn’t really do more than one thing. The hot place was old and rusted. We did not use it. There was one pan electric pan that worked well enough. The dish drying rack was dirty. We did not use it as I didn’t want to spend time cleaning it. The whole area under the sink could use some cleaning before new guests. It seemed like it hadn’t been done for a while. We were in unit 1 and so the dock is right outside our space. When we stayed in we felt like we were in a fish bowl as other people/guests presumably walked around or sat on the dock for hours fishing which meant we had to close our curtains for privacy especially at night. It was hard to tell if the windows are tinted so you can’t see in but it was uncomfortable at times and thus less relaxing at the times we especially wanted to enjoy like with the sunsets.Other issues I suggest be addressed for future rentals I will have to email.

I certainly understand this rental was not boujee and was not supposed to be classy or fancy. Overall our stay was fine, since we were not in the room for long periods of time. There are several areas in room that really need attention, however. The carpeting was very stained, the bed skirt noticeably torn/tattered, the mattress was not comfortable with “ no give”, bed pillows super flat. The room could really use a nice deep cleaning! On/off smells of old urine. The sink stopper in bathroom not effective as my husband had to use a bowl to shave from since the stopper was malfunctioning and not working. Cushions on chairs on deck could be replaced, kinda gross. I do appreciate the wonderful communication and availability of staff with Seaside Vacations when I had to communicate and/or make a phone call to the number provided. I may turn to seaside vacations in future, but may try to “up” my accommodations. Perhaps a nicer experience (?)

Quiet Retreat

Perfect getaway to unwind for three nights. Easy access from the bridge heading into Chincoteague. The screened porch was a big plus. Quick response when contacting the agent with a small issue.

Gorgeous view.

Saw egrets and herons eating breakfast at low tide. Saw gorgeous sunsets. A pod of dolphins passed by on our last morning.

A quiet getaway, lots of R&R

The location is close to everything, but secluded and quiet for when you just want to relax. We loved the closed in porch where we sat for hours on end talking and watching the water. We really felt comfortable and at home.

Private little island, peace from the hustle!!

We stayed in the "Lovers Lane" unit which is on the lower level of this small condo unit. It had access to a secure laundry room, private deck with picnic table, BBQ grill and awesome lighting for night crabbing or fishing right from your private dock! Couldn't ask for more. The unit was very clean. This location has great access to Chincoteague with easy egress and ingress from the Island. If your looking for a quiet stay away from the commercial hustle, this is the place, though the room is smaller, it packs a bang in privacy and location!

Small but Convenient Location

We stayed at this property for 3 nights. It was perfect for a weekend getaway for a couple located within 10-15 minutes of all the popular spots on the island. The space was fairly small but it met our needs and has a nice waterfront porch. The listing mentioned there was laundry on site but it was not in the unit and I didn’t see any information given about where it was, but this wasn’t a problem for us. I’m sure if we asked, the representative would’ve told us how to access it if we had texted. Their staff is very responsive and helpful if needed. The listing also says there’s a kitchen, however it is only a microwave, hot plate, toaster oven, toaster, and coffee maker. Again, this was not a problem for us because we enjoyed going to the local restaurants. The only critique we had was the bed was fairly uncomfortable. We would probably stay at this location again in the future but need something done about the bed so we don’t wake up in pain every day.

Peaceful Relaxing Haven on the Water

Small Cozy condo for couples. Very quiet and relaxing with great sunrises and sunsets! Great location with being on the water!

Choose another property

Pictures do not show disrepair of unit. Toilet clogged wtihin 2 hours of stay (plunger provided under sink for this). Kitchen clogged next day. Microwave on last legs, pillows are thinner than pancakes. There is a step coming in front door outside of bathroom that is an accident waiting to happen. Dust and dirt. Pans thrown under sink, there is no dishwasher even though they provide dishwasher tabs. Hard to get your own parking space in front of unit. Dock occupied by resident sunbathing most times. Location fine...but not enough pluses to stay here again. I cheaped out and that won't happen again!

Didn’t lovers lane

The good and the bad…. Best part of the property was the screened porch on the water. Felt like we were sitting on the dock while in our rental. We also enjoyed that the property was close to Main Street and was off the beaten path. The bed was comfortable and the unit was very sound proof. Yet, the unit was very old and in desperate need of renovation. The over head light in the kitchen did not work. The air conditioning unit was caked with dust as was the fan on the screened porch. The only sitting in the unit was location on the porch. It had seen better days and needed to be replaced. There was an old coffee pot but, we would have enjoyed a Keurig. This was the first Vrbo that we stayed in that didn’t come equipped with a Keurig. We came prepared with our Keurig cups and would have loved to have coffee on the porch in the mornings but, couldn’t do so. We were also surprised that no hand soap was provided. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but, we would not choose at this property again.
