Fantastic Family Stay

This home was great for our family & friends. The kitchen was huge and lovely, well stocked (except for Tupperware & ziploc bags), bring your own.Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and the beach was just a quick walk up the street.We can’t wait to come back!

Great Family Getaway

Pelican Watch is completely lovely and the listing holds true. We had a large, open Kitchen/Dining/Living space that gave everyone room and a large dining table for eating in and playing games. I highly recommend this home, it is in great shape and a wonderful spot for family and friends.

Beautiful pacific city home

We stayed here over Thanksgiving and chose this house based on the huge kitchen for cooking. We were happy to find the kitchen was indeed huge and well stocked. It had everything we needed. The main bedroom is upstairs and the others are located on the main floor, so you do have to go up and down the stairs a bit. The hot tub was great, and getting to the beach was easy with a flat walk about a block away. Pacific city had dunes, so you do have to walk back up a small dune to get back up from the beach If you have anyone with mobility issues. The front deck has great peekaboo ocean views, so we enjoyed that a lot. We loved this house and would definitely rent it again.

Great Spot

Our group of 5 was very comfortable here and enjoyed our stay. The kitchen provided more than anticipated and had everything we needed. There's tons of space, decent view, short walk to beach and to the market/restaurants, quiet area. We would stay here again.

Trip to the beach with grandchildren

We rented this place because of the ratings. Some parts of the house were not clean. For example, the can light in the bathroom on the first floor was full of cobwebs. The handles on the cabinets upstairs and downstairs were loose. The lower floor bathtub would not drain (maintenance did come out and fix it), meaning the cleaners could not have cleaned the tub. Many lights had burned out light bulbs. The smoke detector in my grandson's room was missing, and the one upstairs near the other bedroom was open and missing the battery (maintenance did come out and fix it). When we tried to use all the bar stools, the bolts fell out and almost collapsed. The same thing happened with the stool in the living room. It fell apart when my three-year-old grandchild moved it. The queen bed on the first floor was very uncomfortable. The large oversized couch in the living room has no support and is very uncomfortable. The beach access is a short walk, but there is a large dune that can be a challenge to climb down and climb back up (especially with two young children and their beach toys). It is a large house that, at one time, was awesome. However, right now, it needs some TLC to get it back to where it used to be.

Spring Break Vacation

House and location were both great. Easy access to the beach and quiet neighborhood. Check in time is very strict, could not get in early, code didn't work till exactly 4:00.

This kitchen is so well organized and you can actually find things and actually cook in it!! Only complaint was the upper bunk bed for an adult was not that comfortable. Definitely fit all 8 adult women comfortably and was so nice and close to all that we needed for our weekend.

My friends and I had a sweet and cozy time at Pelican’s Watch! The space was clean and well-appointed, we loved the hot tub, the views, and being such a short walk to the beach.

Fantastic house near Cape Kiwanda

Spacious, well-appointed property with lots of amenities. Most rental properties give you bare bones offerings with the cheapest appliances you can find. This house was a gem with top of the line kitchen that was fully loaded with high end appliances. They had everything you could possibly need to cook for a large group. Deck was also fun to eat on and cook on. We have 3 kids and 5 adults and felt like we had plenty of space to spread out. They had beach chairs and a wagon for the beach and sand toys. One block from the ocean. Laundry onsite. Double bunk beds with queen bottom was great for the kids. Loved this house… will be back!

Best place in Pacific City

The house is beautiful, clean, a 2 minute walk to the beach and 10 min walk to the pelican pub and brewery. The community is gated and safe. Deer wandered the neighborhood each day we stayed. We will be back again without hesitation.

Disappointed

When we arrived the dishwasher had a very bad smell and didn’t work and I immediately called and emailed the property manager. The property manager told us someone would be coming the first day to fix the dishwasher, but no one came. I emailed the second day because we have kids and our friends with kids were staying at the house with us so we needed a dishwasher. Again, the property manager emailed me back and said someone would come to the house to fix the dishwasher and help get rid of the bad smell. No one came. At 2:00 am, someone banged on the door very loudly, waking us up and scaring the kids. The entire time, no one came to the house to address the dishwasher. I am very disappointed in the experience and the service.

Amazing Kiwanda Experience

Probably the best Kiwanda property I’ve stayed at in Pacific City. Immaculate, excellent space and design, beautiful appointments, massive kitchen, and super comfortable bedrooms that fit multiple adults, along with pet friendly make this the best place I’ve stayed. The hot tub was large and deep, the shuffleboard on the garage was such a cool surprise, and the easy walk to the beach and the shops make this the perfect location for a group stay. I don’t think I’ll ever need to search for another property of Meredith’s is available. Thank you so much for be hospitality and the wonderful accommodations!
