Whether it's a weekend getaway for you and your spouse or spending the week with the entire family and friends there is something for everyone to enjoy. This home is tucked away on a two-home lot with a private entrance, just a few steps away from the water. Guests have access to the deepwater floating dock (regardless of the water being low). Enjoy the view of the lake, mountains, and breathtaking sunsets from the balcony deck. On the property, there is a basketball hoop, ping pong table, upstairs and downstairs living rooms with cable, washer/dryer, wifi, gas grill, board games, kitchen with all the essentials, scenic walks, and ample space for privacy. Bringing a boat? Just a few minutes up the road you can put your boat in the water at Mile Creek Park. You can store your trailer there, as well! *please note there are no exceptions the house rules. All kids must be 5 years by the time of reservation.

First time staying on Lake Keowee and this house seems to be in the perfect location. Mile Creek boat ramp is super close by boat and truck. Our family had a blast playing in the water off the dock. The area of the lake is perfect to play either off the dock or pulling a tube behind the boat. Word to the wise, if you're bringing a boat, drop it off at the ramp before heading to the house. The house was perfect for our family, the space upstairs and downstairs were great. All the bedrooms/bathrooms were spacious. We'll absolutely have this place in the running for our next lake trip.

It was the exact location we were looking for. Lakeside with great view on the lake and sunsets. The open water in front allowed us to see from the house our little ones tuning and skiing. The host lent us some additional different water tubes that made the kids and grandkids very excited. Highly recommend as the house was well furnished with several amenities.

We were in town for a family weekend so basically just slept there. Home was very clean and lots of notes to make lights easy to find. View of lake was great so basically just sat on upper porch and ate at picnic table. Saturday the owner did allow my daughter to use kayak. They are right next door and helpful.

AVOID this property until a total replumbing is done! It should have been advertised as 5 bedroom ONE BATH because two of the 3 bathrooms could not be used due to flooding. Two baths on main floor, one in master BR worked, but the other was "stacked" above the one bathroom on bottom floor and if used flooded the bottom bathroom floor. The wall in bottom bath CLEARLY was watermarked from past flooding. By our fourth day there the "bunkroom" carpet/floor was WET. The laundry room located between bunk room and bottom bath fortunately had a laundry sink which we had to use multiple times to wring out towels used to mop up floor. Our party of 12 had to share one shower most of our 10 day stay AND space showers out by 30 min to avoid more flooding AND no toilets could be flushed if someone was showering. Yes, a plumber was called who apparently snaked out the line from bottom bath to outside BUT never address issue that flooding was result of water coming from main floor to bottom floor. Owner make things "right"? LOL. Apologized for inconvenience and said "if we wanted to return next year we could have one night free". Shame home hasn't been maintained, excellent location on lake and could be nice place.

We enjoyed our stay. weather turned very cold but the host immediately changed the temp for us. The house had everything we needed. The washing machine had an issue but they came out the next day to fix it.. very responsive hosts.The views were great everything quite comfortable.

The lake house itself was beautiful, clean, and exactly as pictured. The owners were friendly and pleasant to deal with, and the property is in a great location.Unfortunately, the lack of privacy made it difficult to fully relax which took away from our experience, personally. During our stay, the owners’ child came over to use the trampoline located by the front door of the property we were renting. We were also surprised to find that the dock was shared, and the owners set up right beside it while we were trying to enjoy the lake. While they were kind people, it didn’t feel like we had the private lake house experience we were expecting, as the listing made it seem. The night before check in the property manager informed me that the owners live next door on the same property and if they were in town, they would be using the dock on occasion. This was not made clear in the original listing or I wouldn’t have chosen to rent. The last day they invited friends over and occupied more of the dock space which made some of our family members not want to come down to the water to enjoy. If you’re looking for a beautiful place and don’t mind sharing parts of the property with the owners, this may be a good fit. However, if privacy is important to you, it’s something to keep in mind before booking.Our family still made the best of the situation and enjoyed the game room and beautiful sunsets from the porch areas. The house was also fully stocked with everything that you need.

Property met the description and photographs provided on VRBO. Property was private with a great view of the lake. I would absolutely stay here again if I get the opportunity. Great for a family stay. Large rooms with multiple common areas.

The house was in good condition, clean, stocked with radon kitchen appliances. The view of the lake was nice and would be perfect in the summer to dock a boat. We would not recommend booking if you do not have a set guest list. We had family in the area and wanted to visit with them but were not allowed.

Amazing lakefront location and view

We loved this property and we had so much fun swimming in the beautiful lake. It had everything we needed for our family and we would definitely stay here again!

Location, location, location! This property doesn’t have steep access to the dock and is close to party cove, jumping rock and mile creek park which are all of the areas we enjoy going to. The back porch is a great place to watch the sunsets. We had 5 adults and 3 boys 5, 7, and 10.

A wonderful vacaton

The house was very clean and perfect location on the lake. The view from the home was amazing and so Very peaceful. The dock was nice and easy to use for so long your own boat. Would stay here again for a quite family vacation!

Great location & view!

The house worked perfect for our needs! Great location on the lake with exceptional views! The owners are next door, but other than wrapping up a few items when we checked in, you hardly knew they were there. We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent lake house and location

Perfect location on Lake Keowee. Plenty of good clean sleeping areas. Large kitchen for making meals. Lake access via the dock is an easy walk. We were even blessed with a visit from a large black bear one morning. We loved it and will be back!

Great house for Football Weekend

Stayed here with 7 friends for a Clemson Football Weekend. House was perfect with accommodations and location on the Lake. Only 25 minutes to the University. Will definitely consider staying here again for games in the future.

Great. Trip

Great spot. Very clean. Was worried about previous reviews stating the owners, who live next door, watched you like a hawk. We did not find this to be true. They were lovely hosts.

Perfect week at the lake

We had a wonderful week with extended family, and the house accommodated all 9 of us quite comfortably. It’s situated on a beautiful stretch of Keowee, with a nice dock and lawn are to sit and enjoy the sunsets. For most of the week the lake was wonderfully quiet, with only occasional boat traffic. We spent one day on a rental boat on Lake Jocassee visiting waterfalls, which was a short 30 minute drive away. Would highly recommend this house for a family gathering.

I am the daughter of the owner. I spent my summers on this lake with my cousins and grandparents. The owners are retired and live in the lake home adjacent to this home. They both grew up on the lake and love sharing what they consider part of their heart and happiness with others.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

Both homes on the property were built by the owner's late father. These homes have been in the family for generations. This home is now used as a rental and the other is still used by the owners full time. The families spent their summers water skiing, feeding the geese, and watching the bluebirds nest right in their backyard. Winters were spent playing games, enjoying the view, sunsets, and spending quality time together with no agenda and nowhere else to be. The rental home has a balcony deck that gives you the perfect view of the sunset. It's truly magical and feels like a cozy, peaceful getaway! Not to mention it's only 15 minutes away from Clemson :D (GO TIGERS!)

With the owners living at the lake, they are more than happy to answer questions, help, and assist in any way! They would also be your point of contact for any maintenance issues and can tend to that promptly. They have grown up on the lake and know all there is to know about water sports, fishing, local favorites, etc. Consider them your own personal local guide!
